You just need to work out the bottom lace fit/ looseness else it can rub on big toe knuckle if too tight. Top race day shoe, not much in it between this and other “ super shoes ”. This outsole just lasts longer. Onto Pro4 ’s, which look great but sadly sound bit softer, less mileage outsole and not getting amazing reviews atm from mates. C'est la vie

For me, they addressed the issues with the 12 in the new version 13. The step in feel is much better, a little added padding around the heel and on the tongue. The upper a big improvement, including the lacing system. Midsole to me feels a bit softer and responsive, likely due to more Lightstrike pro( Adios pro 4 version) and the outsole is still great. If you 're comparing these to the Evo SL, it's an apples to oranges comparision. Boston 13's are more designed for marathon training, and IMO have a more snappy ride that's also slightly more stable than the Evo SL.

I 've only worn through one pair so far which logged over 800 walking miles, so I stick with these for a reason: 1) comfort and 2) longevity. I was a little hesitant to buy this shoe. I ’ ve been a big fan of the PureBoost and the Parley Ultraboosts and was worried it would feel too squishy. You definitely feel the difference in the cushion, but for me, it was in a good way. I love these shoes. I was a mega fan of the SL2. 0 with the Continental rubber sole. The one difference I noticed is the sole. I ran in the SL2 after some rain and the traction was precarious. Similar to other shoes models that have been updated without the Continental soles, I did not feel comfortable running in these shoes with any moisture on the pavement. I was afraid of tweaking my knee or ankle. Otherwise, these are nice and light with enough cushion and pep.
