Rubber netting doesn ’ t allow hooks to get buried in it like nylon. It extends to get those fish all the way at the back of the boat. It floats, so even if it falls in the water, you can get it back. I would not try that with a fish in the net though. My only complaint was shipping... way too long with UPS ground. USPS priority would have likely been the same price and arrived 3- 4 days sooner.

The extending handle is a great feature and I really like the mesh. I would not call the mesh tangle proof but definitely a very big improvement over the typical nylon mesh. And it floats!

A little pricey, but I 've gone though 2 nets this season already, I should have just bought this one at the start. It's got a nice classic look, the net is soft it's short and compact as I do n't have much room in the canoe. It is wide and deep enough for a good size bass, crappie and/or a good size trout.
