I bought the Pelican Classic 120 a month ago. I have been out in it several times and will agree with other reviews that say it is comfortable, quite stable and needs tracking help in any wind. I ended up building a skeg for it rather than order options found on line. The skeg improved tracking in wind greatly. Paddling is fine but it is not a fast kayak by any means. Mostly due to the hull design. It does have a good load capacity which came in handy paddling in bundles of firewood to a remote campsite in VT. I have no regrets with the purchase and will recommend to those wanting a decent fishing kayak.

I 'm glad I made the purchase!! I 've had it for about a month now and have had it out 6 times and love fishing from it. It's even nice to just paddle around in, plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Which the seat is very comfortable! The trolling motor mount is a great plus, that will definitely be utilized in the future.

This kayak is awesome! It is the most stable kayak I have used and I was able to stand and fish with zero issues. It maneuvers great and very easy to paddle. It has plenty of room for all your gear. It is light enough to load and unload it by yourself. It also has 2 built in wheels that make launching it very easy. I really like that it has 6 rod holders. The only downside is the way the outer rod holders angle, sometimes i would hit the rods while paddling.

First, let me say… This is THE KAYAK-# lifetimeproducts# Manta Kayak to have in 2024! I ’ ve owned four kayaks( multiple brands) so far and this one is by far is the BEST ALL AROUND! Let ’s start off with the overall tracking and sturdiness of this vessel. When launching it on the banks of my local pond, I was able to step right on the back of the# Manta# lifetimeproducts kayak without it shifting or feeling like I was going to fall in. The two deep pontoons help with stability and overall gliding while paddling/ fishing in channels of the lake. The seat looks the same, but has little more comfort than the# Teton# lifetimeproducts kayak. Plus a MAJOR upgrade from two rod holders in the# Teton to now having six rod holders in the# Manta. It is immensely helpful to store multiple rods and a hand net when paddling or netting a fish. And the pull up strap for standing up located on the front wasn ’ t even needed as the overall width of 38 inches did its duty and allowing me to stand up with ease. The sturdiness is very similar to a paddle board. The ease of standing and paddling thru the lily pads made it feel like I was on an amazon journey. Even though this# manta# lifetimeproducts kayak is a foot and a half shorter than the# Teton# lifetimeproducts kayak, it is way more versatile and easy to move around- especially with open storage capabilities( miscellaneous grip areas for pliers, scale, beverages, molded in tape measure and much more. My maiden voyage was tested with all of the basic items that came with the kayak, no aftermarket add- ons except my milk crate that held my anchor and few cords that held some dry boxes. Future posts will include feedback of those aftermarket items on the new# Manta# Lifetimeproducts. I received multiple compliments from other anglers on how sleek and sharp# manta# lifetimeproducts looked. The only issue I had was pure neglect by myself as I paddled over some low lying branches that caught one of the drainage holes, I was easily able to shift my weight and pop right off the branch. If I did this in a different kayak, I would ’ ve most likely fell in the water, but with the oversized width, it made it extremely easy/ buoyancy is top- notch. I ’ m excited to get on some fast moving water to see how the maneuvering is when crossing strong currents. Overall, lake fishing with minimal currents was a true blast and allowed me to enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of nature while being able to fish and feel safe. And I can proudly say, I did not get skunked. I was able to land 2 largemouth bass and 2 chain pickerel. At night end, I loaded it back on top of my Subaru outback and kept it on the roof rack for two days. Usually, I unload it instantly and get it cleaned and back in storage until the next trip, but I wanted to see how it reacted with being strapped on the roof rack for more than 24 hours. All is well, no warping and no issues at all.( Weather was about in the mid 80s). On Father ’s Day, my family helped me take it off my# subura# outback and insisted they helped with cleaning it. We practiced the same cleaning methods as we have done on previous kayaks with using a scrub brush+ foam brush with car wash soap to take any pond scum off. With having multiple drain holes, the water was easily able to escape the top and dried fairly quickly. Like I said before I can ’ t wait to get back out on the water with current or waves where we can test the next part of this amazing and top notch 2024 Manta# lifetimeproducts kayak! I have owned this kayak for over 5 years. It is a great all around kayak, what sold me is I am 6- 3 ” tall and 250 lbs with a size 14 shoe. It is one of the only 10 foot yaks that I could fit in and at 47 pounds easy to load and unload. I had a 16 foot canoe that I stopped taking out because it was so heavy that I had trouble loading and unloading it by myself. This kayak won ’ t break your back or your bank account! Bought this and a Pacer for my boys' birthdays. Tried them out for the first time today. Good times! The Kokanee is quite stable. It's a little heavy and bulky on land, but handled easily enough by two people. Handles well in the water. I purchased padded seat bottoms, as I was told a long trip would be uncomfortable without them. Only complaint I can possible come up with is it was missing a couple small parts.

We have owned this kayak for almost 8 years. Aside from the seat back and clips that attach it eventually breaking, we have had zero problems. I contacted customer service and they had a shipment( at no cost to us) in the mail within 24 hours with replacement parts. Myself and multiple of my children use this kayak for summer fun and fishing. I love using it with my toddlers because it is SO stable, you almost can not turn it over even if you wanted to. Excellent for a family style kayak adventure on the lake, or those who prefer more stability. We have even taken this one to the ocean twice and used for fishing, it withstands the waves and proved very useful for dropping bait. Only downside that comes with the stability, of course, is it is quite heavy to move. Luckily, ours does not go far.

I haven ’ t been able to test the kayak out just yet, but it came packaged really well. Pretty easy to assemble, although we did use an electric pump to ease inflation- in a pinch the manual pump works just fine. The backpack makes it easy to lug around and store while not in use. I can ’ t wait to take it on the water with my kids!

I got this double kayak for my two boys that absolutely love to fish, swim and be on the water. It took us about 10 minutes to pump up which is not bad to be on the water paddling around and/or fishing out in the open water for the day. The seats were surprisingly comfortable for a long paddle session and the it was a sturdy ride. It was super easy to maneuver through the water. We ’ ve always wanted kayaks but didn ’ t have the room to store them. This comes with a storage bag that is easy to put the folded kayak back once dry that fits the oars and pump with ease. Amazing!

Great portable kayak! This kayak is a fantastic quality. I love the option to deflate and use the backpack style carrying bag. It is on the heavier side for some, but my husband does not have an issue. The pump is a great quality and quickly inflates. The bag has plenty of room to fit everything inside. Highly recommend!

This inflatable kayak has worked well to paddle in our creek and out to the river with my son or daughter. I am careful to avoid downed trees or anything that could puncture it. We also plan to use it in the ocean and intracoastal. My 9yr old son fully inflated and assembled it by himself. It comes with 2 seats, 2 paddles, pump, repair kit, fins, and a nice zippered storage bag. While it is easy to setup, it does take some time and should be noted that there are a lot of parts to keep up with and the once inside the bag it is quite heavy and large to store or transport. For one person, it takes about 15 minutes to deflate and packup and bw 30- 45min to set up the first few times.

I was finally able to take this incredible kayak up to the lake the other night and I am IMPRESSED. I was nervous I was n't going to be able to disconnect the top part by myself but it was so easy! This is my first real kayak and I was torn between a sit in or a sit on option and then I found this! Super unique design and I ’ m very impressed with the quality of the product. I feel like I ’ ll have it forever. If you are thinking of using a kayak on bumpy choppy waters or just lounge on a lake it works for both. My favorite feature is the skipper plugs which allow you to drain the kayak while you are in it!

I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! This seems like a very durable kayak with its HDPE construction and I really like how Lifetime has treated the kayak to resist UV damage, like they do all of their other outdoor products! I bought this set for my 2020 outback and a 10ft kayak. Install was ok, fitment to my crossbars was fine. I wish there was a better way to install the nuts heads and that such nuts are difficult to install without a second pair of hands. All in all, I would n't trust keeping the cradle on the car for extended period of time since the nuts do not have `` anti- back- out '' protection. But for what I will use it for, it is fine.
