No, they are not completely waterproof, but they are around the sides of the shoe. All you need to do is spray the tops of them with a water repellent spray and they are 90% water proof( but no, you ca n't wade through the pond searching for your ball in them). Most of the bad reviews below are just because they are uncomfortable shoes. Mine are EXTREMELY comfortable( I usually will walk 18- 27 holes in them), because I BOUGHT THE RIGHT SIZE! Yes, they definitely run small, so go up a 1/2 or whole size when ordering them. My pair last year are dark grey, and this year I purchased the lighter grey color. I 've had these shoes for months, and they are my favorite running shoes. The traction is good, but I definitely use other pairs when it's raining or I 'm on a trail-- plus, this helps preserve the soft sole. For me, the main feature of these shoes is the cushioning. I can run miles in these, and my feet will be free from discomfort, tiredness, and soreness. They are very breathable and lightweight. Even after months, the cushioning is still just as soft and bouncy. I wear a size 7. 5/8, and I chose the half- size for these. When I bought these, I thought the price was pretty high, but they have definitely gotten their wear, and I do n't regret it. I also really like the colorways of this line, and I can appreciate the style of these shoes since they match 99% of my outfits.

They are firm and stable like my hiking boots, but cute enough that I can wear them as normal sneakers if I need to. I love the versatility. I do wish I sized up though. I usually size up a half size with hiking boots since I wear wool socks with those. I did n't think to do that with these so I have to wear thin socks which is n't my favorite while hiking.
