Probably my favourite fleece. I own two. My first in dark olive is about 5 years old stood up well through outdoors work and chores got a bit bobbled but I gave it a shave not long ago and it looks as good as new. Second is a Navy one bout a year old I save for best. No bobbling or damage looks great both wash well and have good warmth. I Keep checking back for a black one but to no avail.

Purchased my Raven in Dusk last summer, and used it last fall, and getting a lot of use this spring for everyday outdoor use as advertised. It was my first purchase with the brand, and I love the jacket after years of never having a suitable transition jacket. Although I normally fit in size large, the medium fits great on me( 5' 9, 190lbs), with ample space for layering. I 'm from Ottawa, Canada and I 've found that the jacket excels in the 5C- 18C range, depending on conditions. With good layering like my down vest and/or merino base layers, I 've worn it down to 0C if there 's not too much windchill, but around there I tend to switch to my Greenland Winter. Not much experience in anything more than light rain for short periods. Fit, fasteners, colour, and design/style are my favourite aspects of the jacket. Minor points, but a metal zipper and slightly lower collar without the hidden hood that I do n't expect to use would have made this jacket perfect, but it does n't bother me, and I look forward to many years of use!

I wear this on my windshieldless moto going 70- 89 mph and it does the job on windblocking. When it rained, it keep deflecting rain. I wear a merino thermal, my casual, moto protective shirt, and my thermal heated liner, which I do n't have to turn on the heated liner at these temps because of the windblocking and having gear insulate the heat inside. I love this field jacket; my favorite jacket. I want to buy a more expensive jacket here, but this one was beautiful to pass up. Great jacket for those of us living in the Southeast US. was able to wear comfortably down to around 50 degrees F with only a lightweight cotton flannel shirt underneath. You can go much colder if you have a suitable insulation or base layer underneath. I bought in dusk for a classic style yet unique colorway that stands out among your standard olive or khaki surplus jackets. The G1000 softens up a bit with wear. Supposedly water resistant, but I would caution against wearing if more than a light sprinkle is in the forecast.

I 've owned a lot of jackets over the years. Helly Hansen, Eddie Bauer, Spyder, Khul, Mammut, etc. This is by far the warmest jacket I 've ever owned. Even at 30- 35 degrees( F) I sometimes find myself unzipping it as it is too much insulation. I 've worn it out to about 5 degrees with only a light sweater under it and was not even slightly cold. There are more technical jackets out there if you 're looking for backcountry skiing stuff but if you 're just looking for something to keep you warm around town, winter hiking, or sledding with your kids, you ca n't beat this. Also looks great and super comfortable.

Bought another in large, fits like a glove and both of us have gotten some good wear out of these already. This jacket was bought gor me as a gift about a month ago and I think I 've worn it every day since, through November into December, in a wet and Stormy Wales. The medium fits my 5'11 '' frame perfectly. Warmth is n't an issue. I 've worn the jacket with only a t shirt beneath, in windy, freezing temps, with no issue at all. Lots of handy pockets and a hood that works best with a hat worn beneath. Regarding rain. I 'm not going to wear the jacket for prolonged rain. But for showers or drizzle my unwaxed jacket works just fine. For the time being I 'm not going to wax it, as I like the way the jacket looks and I do n't want to change that. So a superb jacket for cold, windy, damp days. I love it.

[ I recently bought this for the Minnesota cold. It is larger than average by one size. I normally wear Medium and I had to order to the small which is an excellent fit. I 'm 5' 9, 180s. I 'm not a fan of the cinched cuffs and the puffy appearance, and it would be much better if it had a shell like the parka version. It 's the warmest jacket I own and the others I own are jackets made with various warm materials such as goose down, primaloft and thermore. It 's definitely worth buying!

[ This jacket is WARM. Definitely gets limited use in our mild PNW winters, but we 've had mid- teen temps with single- digit windchill this week and this jacket has kept me very comfortable. I 'm 6' 3 '', ~190 lbs-- I originally ordered a Large Tall, but found it to be huge so swapped for a Medium and it 's perfect. My only gripe is that the gold sleeve lining tends to hitch a ride on whatever layer is beneath it and peeks out when putting the jacket on or trying to get at your watch. Not a huge deal, but could be mitigated by a row of stitching an inch or two up the sleeve. Furthermore, the gold lining feels remarkably thin and I wonder about its longevity... to be determined! Even so, it 's a great jacket, and I can now face the brief bitter temps we get a little more readily:) Thanks!

This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket 's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. Very light weight. Packing compressed it a lot and it took a couple days for it to expand out. My first time wearing it was in 30 degrees and it kept me very warm. I am 5' 6 '' and a large was a good fit for me, especially for arm length. I am a little concerned about longevity because of how light weight it is, but time will tell on that. Material and stitching are top notch and the jacket is very comfortable to wear. I HATE the feeling of gortex and this has more of silky feel inside and out, which is perfect. For a general use winter jacket this is perfect.

LOVE this jacket! I 'm 6' 2 and bought XL for extra movement and layering when snowboarding. Pros: The synthetic fill is the best I 've ever felt, I honestly thought it was down fill. I love that it stays warm and holds its lofty puffiness when in wet snow conditions. My other Sitka down jacket loses its loft quickly in the arms and back when I start perspiring from a morning of hiking or snowboarding. But 's it 's so soft a cozy. I often just wear a t- shirt or thin base layer under it if I 'm just staring around a camp fire. It 's very warm and the hand and chin backings are super soft. Cons: My only complaint is that it does n't have a well placed hood draw string for windy conditions. The single draw string on the hood is more a retention string for side to side movement of your head. And the outer fabric is very delicate, I know its gon na snag and tear on a tree branch one of these days.... I personally wish it was a little bit thicker like on my wife 's Expedition down jacket.

[ The Nike Tech Lightweight Fleece is a game changer. The same silhouette as the original Tech Fleece but a little more subtle and minimalist in design and the material is excellent! The fit was slightly big for me, but as this has a stretchy, slightly hugging feel it didn ’ t feel big and nobody I asked identified that either. The minimalist design with the tonal logo in the brown colour looks excellent. I mainly used this as a casual jacket as seen in the photo, but also as a top layer when I played golf and went to the gym. As it ’s so lightweight, it really is useable for both casual and activewear and does a great job at still keeping that breeze off you when the wind picks up. I think if I could change anything, I would maybe add ribbed cuffs and a ribbed bottom but that is more personal preference than anything to do with the overall aesthetic of the item.

Very fluffy and warm. It has a tight inside weave so it keeps out the wind. I ’ m not wild about the loose fit/hang, which isn ’ t very functional for outdoor sports—it ’s more of a nice jacket to wear around town.

I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ”, 112 lbs( female) and got a men ’s size S. It gives me that slightly oversized look, perfect for layering without feeling bulky. I ’ ve worn it in 40–50°F weather with just a hoodie or long sleeve underneath and felt super comfy. It looks really cool in person. Not ultra thin, but I can still squish it into a backpack if needed. Highly recommend.

[ Bought this a few weeks ago and love that it ’s longer but still have cords to tighten up at the bottom. Also like that the collar can stand up if I wanted it to. Love the water resistant fabric on the shoulders. Wish they do the same on their Buck fleece long sleeves. Compared this to the Patagonia better sweater vest, my go to is now the buck fleece vest.
