purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free 's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly 's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly 's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

I have to say that the advice to go up a half size is accurate, and these are ridiculously comfortable straight out of the box. I ’ ve not used them on grass but the comfort, grip and ability to pivot in them is excellent on the range mat. Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). And they are super light; they feel much lighter than my other pairs( above). Looks like I ’ ll be using these for speed work. Kudos again Nike!

One of my favorite so far. Ranks up there with the Asics Novablast but maybe a little bouncier which is a good thing to me. I used to always run in Pegasus, but then I was having problems with the heal counters messing with my achiles. The Invincible puts no stress at all on my Achilles, and is still a pretty fast shoe for a mid- striker like me. Even with the high level of cushioning, it feels stable and is n't as sloppy as the Asics Nimbus was for me. For reference, I have a high- arch foot that is probably on the narrow side, weigh 185 and 6' 1. I 've always worn a size 12 Nike and do with these as well. When I 'm running slowly I 'm a heel striker which feels very good in these, but when I pick up speed I 'm more of a mid- striker which also feels good but not quite the same level of bounciness. I usually use them for 3 to 6 mile runs.

The traction is almost god tier and does not slip out, even on the dustiest of settings and no matter what the surface is( besides outdoor). The build and material quality is amazing and just looks and feels premium which is another bonus! If you ’ re a heavier player or guard your foot may slip out of the footbed which can cause foot injuries so beware. I highly recommend this shoe!

I bought these with skepticism- Nike usually has good looking shoes, but often underdeliver with quality and functionality. These shoes get the job done. I purchased with the intention of wearing them in the weight room- no desire to run and/or jump in them. They provide excellent ankle support and a wide toe base so that you 're able to get your feet set before every lift. The firm sole provides little toe bend, which I appreciate. I would n't recommend them if you 're wanting to run, they 're heavier and on the clunky side, but think they 're well suited for a lifting or HIIT type shoe.

If yours squeak, try some baby powder between the insole and sole. I think these have a glued down insole if remembering correctly, but i think i peeled them up in mine. Put baby power between the layers and try to get it to go between the sole from the upper and the foam of the cushioning/midsole where they are sewn together. Sometimes there are vent holes as well. If you get them really wet/dry and that gets washed out it will return some eventually but you can redo it. Ive had several different styles of squeaky shoes and this works. The squeak is between the upper sole and midsole and not the outer sole and the ground like most people think. That is why they squeak on any surface. Had these shoes for about a year and a half now and used and abused them. Feels pretty much as good or better than pegasus i had, although it is hard to ever get a direct comparison. Ive worked and walked a lot in them and usually feet feel as any other shoe Ive ever had. I coach and do a lot of outdoor work.

The only thing that I 'm disappointed in is that I did n't try these until right before the Vaporfly 4 replaces them. This course has it all it rained the majority of the race, so I had wet roads, a lot of big up and down hills, and also a long section of the road where the road angled off steeply to one side. [ When the shoes were delivered to me, I didn ’ t think I had gotten the correct shoes with the box being super light. To my surprise, the shoes were in fact just this light! With the Air all on the bottom of the shoe I was skeptical on how this would perform as a running shoe. After a few runs outside on gravel roads and inside on treadmills, I can confidently say these are the Best Running Shoes I had ever used! This shoe was made for running! The mesh upper and ventilation all through the shoe tongue helps tremendously when running in warm weather. Adding additional comfort to the bottom of the shoe is definitely noticeable having no pain in my legs after running multiple miles! Since I started running in these shoes, I have had a new Personal Record in miles for the new year! I am extremely impressed in not just the fit of the shoe, but the overall support with the shoe being super light! One thing that I really enjoyed about the inside of the shoe was the additional padding around the ankle and heel to give that extra cushion. I decided to go with my true size of size 10 and was happy I did. The upper mesh material does help give a little extra room in case you are looking for additional room in the width area. The only negative is there is no Gore- Tex or weatherized version at this time, but if these are made, I would be one of the first to purchase! Love the arch support on these and the price point. Although they ’ re not the best looking shoe to wear, this shoe is definitely made to put in work. Minor slippage on my right foot as it ’s slightly smaller than my left foot. Toe cap is not your average Nike narrow one. It is a little wider( assuming it ’s for when your toes expand while running). They fit differently, but if I were to go. 5 smaller my big toe would definitely hit. I went true to size and I always fit into their narrow shoes( Nike).

Well. I bought 4 pairs. These are everything I was hoping for. Essentially a springy, barefoot run with great energy return. All have worn well unless I try to take them off without undoing the laces, or scrape them on concrete. I wear mine daily. I have narrow feet with exceptionally high arches. As for this model compared to the Alphafly 2 and original…they improved them tremendously. They are snug without pressure, better foam profile, and the lacing system doesn ’ t untie easily. Oh, and they look cool. Final assessment- for a daily 5k- ❤️👍🏻💨

Not perfect but the best racing supershoe that I ’ ve used among VF2, VF3, adizero adios, AF3. Just received VF4s but yet to run in them. My first run in these AF3s was a shakeout before a half marathon. Was concerned as the shoes squeaked for about 2. 5 miles but that finally subsided. Have run 2 half marathons in these- each time was PR by 4 minutes. Best thing for me is the low volume toe box. I have narrow, low volume feet. The VF3s are way too baggy in the toe box for me. This shoe has been amazing! With my old Vapor 9. 5 's, which were totally beat down after several years, I was feeling seriously abused after every match. These shoes are so much more padded and just as stable. I do n't know if I 'm crazy but I honestly feel better after playing with these shoes on. While the Vapor 9. 5 's do feel lighter and faster I feel like my steps are bigger and stronger with the GP Challenge 1. End result, I think I am faster with these shoes on than with the old 9. 5 's. If you 're a bigger player in the 6' 1 '' and taller range you 'll appreciate this shoe I think. I thought I was more of a size 12 in Nike but in this shoe I went with a 12. 5 after trying on some shoes at a local store. In pretty much any other shoe I wear a 12 but in this 12. 5 is definitely the correct fit.

Great shoe, it fits really well and Nike seems to have found it 's way again by going back to basis. What stops me from giving 5/5 starts is that although it offers an excellent fell and fits like a glove around your foot, I would have liked better support/fit around the ankle( the opening seems to need a bit more cushioning like the Air Max has to offer). Maybe bring back the laces v- shape from older models, it used to offer a bit of a tighter fit. Overall great shoe, I would highly recommend!

From what I 've been told, it is recommended that you take a stroll in new running shoes to warm them up and stretch them out a bit. However, I took these shoes on a run fresh out of the box and it felt great. This is not normal for me by the way. I 'm a flat- footed monster with wide feet and if the shoe does n't fit while I 'm running, it can get extremely painful. The Pegasus always seem to deliver for me. Neutral running shoes work the best for my flat feet and I 'm so happy with my purchase. I look forward to using this bad boy as my daily. I 'm 5' 1 '', and wear a 6. 5 in womens running shoes. They look amazing and feel even better when I swapped out the stock insole for my personal insoles. They run a little narrow so I went 1/2 size up. Stiff soles at first but after a couple rounds they soften up a little and they always have great traction. No slipping on any wet grass as I walk down a hill or out of a sand trap. My second pair. They do not replace actual snow/rain boots but get a lot of use. I wear these regularly on rainy days and even New England winter weather. This fit true to size in length but do run a little narrow and will feel tighter in the toe box. I buy the same size as a regular pair of Air Max 90s. If you have wide feet, these might not be for you. The plastic part in the lacing system may cause discomfort for some.
