I originally went to Dicks to purchase the Ethos 5 post weight plate holder but when I came across this new 6 post version I knew it would be perfect for my space. This plate tree is very well built. The solid yet compact design is a great space saver and it holds my bumper plates with ease. I currently have 460lbs loaded on this rack and it could easily hold more. The casters roll well even while loaded up with plates, and the ability to move the unit around your space is a nice feature that I didn ’ t originally think was a must have item for me, but now that I have it, I would never go back to a non- rollable rack. It is incredibly convenient. The packaging was decent, but could probably be improved upon. They do make use of styrofoam and foam sleeves, but the contents inside the package were able to shift around some. I found one or two very small scratches on the base of my rack which isn ’ t a big deal for me at all, but I do think the packaging is worth mentioning as it could possibly lead to potential damages during shipping for others. Installation is an absolute breeze. The rack does come with installation instructions, but this can easily be put together without any guidance. Only tools needed are a hex socket and a wrench and the entire rack can be assembled in about 5- 10 minutes. My entire garage gym has been designed around the ability to save space and double utilize the area efficiently. This rack by Ethos was the perfect solution to help me stay organized and minimize the footprint needed to store my weights. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a low profile plate holder I could store all of my bumpers on, so it would need to have spokes with enough room to do so. Built very well. The supports all have holes like a rack. Possibly could be a landmine and battle rope attached. Maybe more. Top shelf is perfect for 5- 30 kettlebells. The shelves probably hold 5- 40 dumbbells. Only issue I have is with shipping. One of the dumbbell shelfs arrived with a dent in it. It ’s rights where the has to be tightened so I only have 3 of 4 bolts in. Customer service is supposed to be sending a replacement. Said it would take a month 6 weeks ago so IDK. I ’ m left to take a hammer to it but I shouldn ’ t have to. Yes I would recommend it to a friend if picked up in store and inspected before leaving.

I bought this a few weeks back to finish my home gym. After having some hit and miss experiences with Ethos products in the past, I figured I 'd give them another shot for as attractive as this price is. Honestly, i was surprised at the quality and stability once i got it put together. It's comparable to some much more expensive half racks I 've used at commercial gyms, which was very impressive to me. Only reason I 'm not giving 5 stars is because the included J Hooks are terrible. They are extremely short and coated in rubber, which causes issues with both putting the bar into place safely, and the bar `` sticking '' on the rubber. I bought a replacement set of Yes4All 3x3( 1 inch hole) J Hooks off amazon for$ 40 which completely resolved this issue- feels way more like commercial hooks now. These also have a locking knob on the back that prevents the J Hook from moving making it way more stable as well. See pic I 've included of comparison. Since this was resolved as such a low price, it's not that big of a deal but definitely worth doing in my personal opinion. All in all, very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a half rack/ smaller rack for their home gym.

Sturdy and a neat way to organize your barbells and plates. Easy to setup and a real space saver. Love the finish and feel of the piece, the Allen screws securing the peg sleeves are prone to loosening with use but really not that big of an issue. The included spring clamps are a plus and I 'm also using them to keep the plates secured when using the leg developer attachment on my adjustable bench. We have used this rack for 2 trips. It does not lock, but is east to remove from the crossbar to be stowed inside the vehicle while we were camping. The rack is compact so that we were ae to carry a kayak and a canoe on our trips. After a 5 hour car ride, the vessels were still secure and stable. Excellent product.

Nice quality, this mounted perfectly on Toyota OEM crossbars as the bracket is about 4 '' wide. I suggest putting the straps on the rack 1 kayak at a time and start with loading the side of the vehicle with the rack farthest away( if not centered) as it is easy to get them tangled and bunched over each other. Also, if you have an SUV you will be hopeless putting on 2 kayaks by yourself if you are under 6' tall. I bought my rack second hand( used once) from a shorter person with a big SUV.
