I 've had NOAA Weather Radio receivers around the home since 1974 from various manufacturers. Over the past half a century, I have come to rely on weather alert radios made by Midland, as they have the longest life span, and provided outstanding reliability over the years. In fact, my oldest working weather radio is a 1989 vintage model 74- 102 and it still does a magnificent job. Currently, I have three Model WR120 alert radios around the house, and no matter where I am at, I can hear any emergency message from the National Weather Service day or night. Also, the battery backup feature has provided continuous protection even after power failures. The WR120s really are the gold standard of weather radios, and I often buy extras off Amazon as holiday `` stocking stuffers '' for my coworkers, family and friends. They really are a great gift idea.

The Rambler has quickly become an indispensable travel companion. I 've taken it camping, used it to power my laptop at the coffee shop and I have even flown across the country with it. I was a little bit worried that it would get flagged by TSA, but I have had no issues with it in my carry- on bag. I especially love that I do n't have to search for a power outlet at the terminal when I am flying. It is bigger than the 20K power bank that I had been using for a few years, but having a built- in AC outlet, wireless charging and more power capacity is worth it for me. I currently have an iPhone 12Pro that has an internal 2, 815mah battery and the Rambler provides nearly 4 phone recharges before I need to recharge it. However, I am usually using my phone at the same time so that is likely impacting my recharge rate to some extent. We initially put kitty litter and baking soda in the bags but felt that was unnecessary as long as the bag was changed twice daily. I became a member of the Patriot Guard Riders after they escorted my 97 year old father to his graveside service. Daddy served as a Navy Signalman during World War II. One of the members told me to purchase a quality 3x5 foot flag and get a telescoping flag pole. He sent me the link to this flag pole. He told me it was a good price and looked like it would work well for me. Most Patriot Guard Riders travel by motorcycle and their flag pole collapses to fit into their saddle bags. Since I travel by car to join the Patriot Guard Riders when the group does a Flag Line, I just put my flag in the car. It holds up well when the wind blows and it is sturdy. I have been using this device for a long while now and it is my go to for my regular gym sessions. I 've used it extensively for lead and found it's very easy to feed out slack and it locks reasonably well. Wo n't be quite as good as the gri- gri or pinch for falls but I have n't found that to be an issue.

If there is a large weight difference between the climber and belayer where the climber is the heavier it will be a bit jumpy when lowering in my experience. It takes a bit of learning to use this I would look up a video on how to operate it first. Overall a great cost effective alternative to a moving parts ABD.
