While I 've only had three opportunities to fish with this locator since I 've purchased it, it seems to perform very well. I particularly like the clarity of the screens and the split screen option. The clarity on the flasher screen is so much better than a traditional flasher unit. It does have great separation capabilities. The lure charge function is really handy. Especially after my buddy dropped his lure charging flash light down the hole! I also like the automatic transducer angle selection of the unit. I must admit I would like an even wider transducer angle for shallow water applications. I do still have much to learn about this product. To that end, I do wish a detailed operations manual was included. I am looking forward to discovering its full capabilities and applications. So far this product meets my expectations( which are high) for a Humminbird product.

I bought this not too long ago and have had the chance to use it a bit out on the ice. So far in my experience, it's a great transducer. It's compatible with the garmin striker 4 and comes with a lot of cable so this is never an issue. The image it produces is very clear and I can see my bait easily in the water. And laslty, it did n't seem to have an issue with cold temperatures and rapidly freezing hole ice. It was 7 degrees this morning with no wind or sun which allowed for the ice to freeze up very quickly. Yet the transducer had no issue with it, and while the battery did end up dying, this was mainly I believe due to the temperature. Therefore, this is a really great transducer and I hope to use it in the future.

I bought this 1 month ago with the active target live. The fs has been great!! Unfortunately the active target I got had a bad transducer and the box kept freezing up. Waiting now for a replacement unit they are on back order.
