We have used this tent for a couple of years now and still love it. Once we got the hang of it, set up was much easier. We place a tarp underneath to protect the floor, as well as some plastic sheeting on top of the flooring. I think this will increase the life of the flooring. We 've weathered some big storms and have remained leak proof. We are able to fit 3 cots in the main area, and two slim twin sized blow up mattresses in the bed of our van, thus we can sleep 5 fairly comfortably. This was an excellent start- up tent for new campers.

Set up& tear down are simple& intuitive and take only about 20 min. if you take your time. The tent itself is very spacious and easy to connect to the vehicle. It fits our vintage station wagon very nicely. Quality of workmanship and materials appears to be a little better than average, but not rugged. After unfolding the tent the second time we did notice some marring on one of the screens, apparently from the plastic pole sockets. Be sure to use the protective bags that go over these hard plastic pieces before folding for storage. Also while folding, I reached for a corner on the screen room& got only the tarp- like edging that borders the bottom seam& it tore away at the edge a little. Again, not really the fault of the manufacturer, just another area where you need to be carful when setting up& tearing down. To sum up, it is a great product, well designed and easy to use, but its not fool proof.

[ I made my bestfriend put it up when I went camping. She slept in it. I went in there in the morning it was so dark so I do have to say it does keep the light out super easy to put up for both of us of course we are fairly small women. The only issue is the fact that no Coleman tent I have owned goes back into the tent bag in came in. But yourself your own bigger tent bag.

I had been curious about these types of tents and found it really helps to stay cooler from the heat thanks to the darkroom tech. Also love the height space of the tent to stand up without hitting the ceiling. It would be nice if there was a 2nd screened window to allow a breeze to flow through more without moving up the top cover but a great tent overall!

I bought this tent maybe 5 years ago now and it has held up through more than I ever thought it would. I 've camped recreationally a number of times but I 've also been in a couple situations where I was homeless and had to make this tent my home and I could not have asked for a better product, i lived in this tent in the cold and the hot in nice weather and storms with 50mph gusts of wind where the side wall was on my face while I was sleeping. Received our wine colored purchase 6/4/24 and set it up in the back yard. Forecast predicted showers and thunderstorms the next couple days so wanted to put it to the test. IT PASSED with flying colors IMO. Predicted thunderstorm came through the night of 6/5 in our north Alabama county. Watched the tent sway with wind gusts of, I ’ d say, 40mph. Was a bit concerned as I was watching but it held up and stayed anchored. Now, I did use Coghlans 7 ” aluminum stakes as opposed to those provided and insert on a 30- 45 degree angle as well.

[ Very nice tent and very easy to set up even with one person. Purchased sometime ago a 4 person Core tent and have been very satisfied with it as well. Have not used the new 10' x 9' tent as of yet due to current winter season. Can not really see difference in material between two tents. Advertisement states a heavier tent material for the 10'x9' model, I hope so. Again the set up is extremely easy and fast even for one person. Wanted to make sure because I often take with me on a solo fishing trip in early March and just wanted to make sure there would be no hassle in setting the tent up. Lots of ventilation ports at the base in a huge area under the rain fly for ventilation including the screens in door and sides which are ideal for the 90+ degree temp we have during the summer months. Great height for this straight wall tent more than 6 feet and center. Will add further comments after first couple of use of the new tent which I am looking forward to as the spring come around. I recommend this tent. The Core company I believes will stand by their products and not disappear overnight as so many in this line of products. Their reputation appears to be very solid.

Take down went great and everything went inside the bag, with extra room no less! For the price, I am very impressed with this tent and would definitely recommend it. I would say it sleeps about 4 people if you are using cots or blow up mattresses. 6 if you are using mats.

Bought this tent a long time ago, about fourteen years. Has held up great for that time. Ten min. set up time with two people. Hooked this tent to the back of my truck that has a cap. Worked great as a second room. I use the truck as a bedroom. Sleeve zips off for a third door option if using the tent alone. The only problem was when it rained one time and a pool formed between the cap and the tent on the sleeve. If it was on the right car maybe this would n't happen. The other thing that should be done to make set up easier is to mark the center of each tent pole. This is to mark the apex of the tent to tie the roof ties to. You will see what I mean when you set up. Would I buy this tent again? Yes. And I have never put any kind of waterproofer or seam sealer on and never had a leak.

I used the tent for the first time this past weekend and thought it was great!! My wife even enjoyed camping and I was n't sure that was possible. I heard from reviews that people said that it was hard to set up, but me and my friend set it up for the first time in the dark and only took us 10 minutes, very simple. They even have a video that shows you how to set it up, I would advise watching it first if you are unsure. Others said that it wouldnt fit back in the bag that it comes with, but again, I had no problem with it at all. The only cons were the tent pegs that came with it. They had no point at the end and bent everytime you hammered them in. I went to REI and bought some titanium tent pegs and problem was solved. The only other con was that when using the zippers, they sometimes catch the overflap fabric. Not sure how to fix it yet, but not a big concern. The tent is big and very roomy. I 'm 6' 5 '' and could walk around the tent with no problem. I have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and the fit was perfect. Great tent, cant wait to use it again!

Love the idea of attaching this tent to my SUV. My wife and I have spent many a nights stacking stuff form the back into the front seats to make room for us in the back. This tent arrived and we headed out to go camping, first stop Holter Lake Montana, fee for camping sights vehicles on pavement tents on grass, you can imagine that we could not drive stakes into the ground when half would have to go through pavement. Headed out of Holter to camp at the Bridge where the access road to Holter meets up with the river at wolf creek canyon. Pitched the tent, pole, stakes everything and lit the barbeque and settle down for the night. Then the wind came and tent blew away. Lesson learned point the vehicle into the wind if known or possible( keep in mind, Eastern Montana is some of the windiest area in the United States. Packed up and headed home in the middle of the night. Two days later headed out to Yogo Creek Montana, found a remote site and set up camp, some wind but it was steady and we pointed vehicle into the wind. Everything else went off without a hitch, beautiful clear creek, camp fire and tent did fine in the 10 to 12 mph wind gust. One small problem, the straps that attach to the tent and come over the top of the vehicle and attach under the hood. When the wind blows is raddles those straps and makes a noise like a semi using air brakes. I will be going to the dollar store and buying some cheap pool noodles, slicing them half way and attaching them over those straps to stop this in the future. Over all glad I bought the tent, roomy and pretty easy to set up and break down.

[ I recieved this from influenster for my honest review. This tent was super easy to put up and take back down. Was easy to get back in to the carry bag it came with as well. This was comfortable to sleep in, had 2 people with plenty of room left in it but can definitely fit 4. I 'm 5' 3 '' and I could stand in it with out having to crouch down so changing clothes in it was comfortable as well. This is definitely more of a spring/summer tent as the upper sides are only mesh but the tarp covers the mesh enough that it wo n't get wet. However I would be a little weary with heavy rain and wind in case for it to stay dry but regular rain was fine. The mesh siding and the added feature for air intake makes it perfect to sleep in in warm weather. I also loved the added feature to run a cord through without having to run it through the door. The price and quality is good so it's a good value. Will be taking it with again for our next camping trip.

The rain fly was a great quality but may be a tad difficult to put on for one person just because of height. The ONLY gripe I have is how it is next to impossible to get the tent back in the bag, but all tents have this issue. Bought this a few months back. We have two children and two dogs. I decided to go big, because when we go campgrounds, I like to have a little more space to move around( I have hiking backpacks for those adventures). This tent did not disappoint. We have it set up with two twins air mattresses on one side, one king on the other, and the dogs sleep in the middle. One mistake I made was assuming all Core 12 Person Footprints are the same. Make sure you get the Straight Wall Cabin Footprint or you 'll be left with one that doesn ’ t quite fit( see picture). I just ordered the new Straight Wall Footprint and can ’ t wait to use it! Overall water resistance is good, we did get rained on one night with no leaks. Airflow is decent with all windows down. If you want to be a bit extra, we did use an EcoFlow Wave 2 portable air conditioner in the tent and it dd help lower the temp and create more airflow at night( TX gets a little warm). Unlike the other 12 Person Instant Tents, this Straight Wall Cabin can be used without staking it into the ground. I enjoy that feature as some places it ’s hard to drive a stake in. The Instant cabin will collapse without it being staked in. The Tent Kit is also a great addition. Everything you need is there and convenient. I can set it up by myself, but is better with 2 people, especially with the rain fly.

I have found that sort of rolling it up and leaning on it with your body weight at the end works. I do n't think I 'll ever go back to the traditional pole tent set up. Favorite part of this tent is the mesh ceiling. If the forecast is dry, you can leave the rainfly off and look at the stars. After about a dozen times camping, during a windstorm, one of the pole connections broke and we 've had to hobble together a solution, but we 've taken it camping still at least 4- 5 more times since. P. S. It's pretty waterproof, but you really need to stake it well for the rain to go where you want it to. Also, because of the slanted walls, you do n't want your air mattress touching the sides during the rain either.

These has thoroughly impressed me so far, we ’ ve used this tent for several years on several annual camping trips now. Our tent survived the winds of a distant tornado that passed through our town. The wind flapped so fast it melted the fabric sleeves covering the joints and exposed some melted foam. The rain fly held on with extremely minor wear, otherwise perfect condition. Set up was easy, although a small hiccup with the fly. I was centering the vestibule zipper and things weren ’ t wuite lining up. I went back to the photo of the tent and once I realized that the zipper aligns with the wing, it was easy peasy. The tent is plenty roomy, and just love the wings. Whichever Marmot engineer thought of that is a genius!!! I thought it might just be a gimmick, but it ’s utilitarian and thoughtful. I was nicely surprised how easily the poles went in and the tent popped right up. I tried to cut corners and hook the poles before I pushed it up, which did not work. It is best to follow the directions. Lol. The footprint is a great plus. Better and easier than most other footprints in my opinion. Easy setup with one. Real easy setup with two. Nice bag. [ Great tent to replace my 4- 5 year- old almost perfect Halo 6p. I ’ d thought it was indestructible, but it didn ’ t stand up to a flying chair from a neighboring site during a thunderstorm. Although the Limestone has slightly less floor area, it feels larger since the walls are more vertical than the Halo ’s. I ’ m 6 ’ 3 ” and can walk around upright in more than half the tent. Both vestibules are smaller than the Halo ’s, but I ’ d never really needed/used the enormous front vestibule of the Halo. The Limestone ’s vestibule held my chair with no problem and will hold my bike with no problem on the next trip. Just did a 3- day trip in rain and 35+mph gusts and the Limestone appeared to be every bit as sturdy as the Halo. Added benefits: it ’s lighter, packs smaller, and is slightly easier to set up since it ’s got one fewer pole and the rain fly is smaller and easier to handle. Although I do appreciate the increased privacy from the non- mesh white front door, I almost wish it had see- through mesh and a zippered privacy screen like the Halo. We ’ ll see how that affects summer ventilation. For this winter trip, ventilation was great- no condensation at all on those 35 degree nights. Bottom line is that Marmot knocked it out of the park again.

We 've had our Limestone 6p for about 8 camping seasons in the PNW. I got it after constantly getting wet in our other tents and so that my tall husband could stand up comfortably and move around. It felt like$$$ at the time but it has been amazing which is why I 'm here to write this review. I love the extra dry front and back porch areas for shoes and things we want to protect. Nice large doors for coming and going, lots of pockets inside and a hook to hang a light. So quick and easy to put up. We 're always careful to store dry and clean. For the first time this year, it had one tiny drip coming through the rainfly where the seam tape was peeling up.( I 've submitted my first warranty claim so we 'll see how that process works.) Admittedly, most of our camping is in forested areas but I can see how the lightweight poles might not hold up as well in a place with high winds. 100% would buy this tent again.

After doing significant research on multi person tents, I decided on a Marmot Limestone 6 person tent. That was back in 2012. We have been camping in the tent every season except two. We have taken exceptional care of this tent( never putting it away damp, keeping it away from campfires, and storing it in a suitable tent tote) and in turn, this tent has kept up warm, dry and given us many memories of mother/daughter camping. One summer we were camping in WI and were hunkered down during a severe thunderstorm. As loud as it was with the rain AND hail pounding on the rain fly, we were safe and dry in our Marmot Limestone tent. We actually had a small stream running under the tent, but not a drop inside! The gear pockets are great and it sleeps three people quite comfortably on twin air beds and our gear. The entryway are a bonus for keeping your gear dry from the night dew and there is plenty of head room for standing up and changing clothes. We did have warranty work done this year and service was fast helpful! We absolutely love our Marmot!

I come from the outdoor retail industry, and have been raised on very high- end gear. I have the Mountain Hardwears and the North Faces, etc. They 're amazing, and the Quest tent can not be placed in the category occupied by the big boys. Now with that out of the way, I have to say this about Quest: Wow. I bought this tent as something cheap about which I would n't cry if my kids ruined it. As I type this in late November in the northeast US, the tent has been set up in my back yard for almost three months. It's been through rain, wind and direct sun exposure for all that time, and it's dry inside, standing soundly and the fabric appears no worse for wear. I have no explanation for this, since it's not unfair to say that the Quest is a budget tent, and affordable things are never any good! Right? Well, in this case, please buy with confidence. For the backyard or campgrounds, I think you could do a LOT worse. Not sure I 'd want to haul this thing cross- country for remote camp- outs where things can get hairy, but for most of us, it 'll serve well. The fiberglass poles have taken a bit of a `` set '' while left standing for so long, meaning they have a slight permanent curve to them now, but I doubt most people are in the habit of leaving tents standing for three months. It's great. Getchya one.

[ A little over two years ago we bought this tent for car camping. When it first arrived we were impressed by how light it was. We set it up which was easy for one person and noticed how spacious this tent is! Personally I am coming from the two person dome tent land but we decided we wanted to be able to stand up to change and have a queen raised air mattress. There is so much room in this tent it ’s amazing. The fly goes to the ground so in a few severe thunderstorm we stayed dry. Wind 30 mph gusts might blow it down the back side in a headwind but if you anchor the guy lines it will withstand it. The walls are almost completely screens which could be a weakness in the design. We tent to camp into late September in northern Maine in New Hampshire and some nights get into the 30 ’s but we have heavy sleeping bags for those nights. The vestibule is so large we have played cards by sitting in two chairs and having a small table set up. Overall we are very happy with the quality and design of this tent!

I have yet to test the tent in a real howler so I can ’ t say if the issue is of serious concern. Also I think the older model had clear plastic on the fly windows. My friend that was 6' 0 was so happy to have a tent he could fully stand up straight in, and it kept out all of the bugs when we went to the beach. It folds up to about the same size as an easy up( maybe just a bit longer), and it light enough for one person to carry. I have n't tried to set it up by myself yet, but with two people it's super easy. I imagine that one person could do it alone, but it might be a little tricky just due to the large size and number of walls that it has. The tie downs work great, though I do want to mention that when we took it to the beach on a windy day after a big storm, we used industrial sized stakes to stake it down since we did n't want to take a chance on it blowing away. It never had a single issue with the wind, and kept everyone( and the dogs!) shaded and happy!

I ordered this screen house online at our local Dick's store to take advantage of a local discount offered through our town. I appreciated the ability to compare several other sizes, folded up and unfolded, which led me to go for this size. It showed up nearly a week EARLIER than the estimate given when ordered, and my wife and I immediately took it to our back yard to try to set it up for the first time. The instructions were clear enough and we thought we were all set, but discovered that we had inadvertently allowed a portion of the roof to be turned back over one of the roof/wall intersections. Once we fixed that, it literally popped up into shape. Even with that self- inflicted delay, we had it up in well under 5 minutes. Take down was equally easy. The main reason we went with this screen house was that our previous screen house top was held up by 4 crossing poles which did NOT support the center and turned the old house into a rain- trapping, useless mess. Not so with this design. It supports the mid- point of the roof so it drains. Looking forward to using it when we camp later this summer.

Bought this on Friday for a weekend trip to Montauk Campground on the ocean for the good price. The screenhouse exceeded my low expectations in all areas. It was simple to put up; kept the mosquitos away and withstood a severe thunder storm!! We had to straighten it after the storm but it survived, other canopies and screen houses around us did not! It was also easy to disassemble and it fit in the carry case just fine. For the price, I am very happy with this purchase!

I 've taken this tent down thousands of miles of rivers int he western US and have never had a problem. Super airy on hot nights and the rainfly withstands monsoon rains well. Definitely a permanent resident in my dry bag.

Had the Storm Break 3 years so far, and maybe a couple/few dozen uses. At half the price of the similarly featured tents from the pro competition, it's an impressive tent IMO. It's a couple pounds heavier, but that has very little effect in my application( mostly motorcycle camping). I 've had zero problems with poles, zippers, stitching, fabric, or other parts/details. I 'm relatively careful and use common sense in setup and breakdown of the tent. I use a decent ground cloth to protect the floor and avoid exposure to sharp sticks and rock etc. Also avoid over tensioning the loops and holding points when staking and setting up guylines. I 'm careful with zippers and do n't force them or zip/unzip carelessly or super fast. In my limited experience, the zippers have been excellent. The vestibule flap zippers can be a bit fussy, and I simply use a finger to `` lead '' the zipper- pull path; this prevents the overlap fabric from getting caught in the pull. I 've used it in light rain and moderately windy conditions, but not in extreme weather. It has performed and held up just fine. Having read some of the negative reviews, I do n't understand how poles can just `` break '' or bend into some strange wavy deformed condition that some have claimed- that's odd IMO, and makes me wonder if those individuals are n't revealing the entire story/truth or maybe were careless? Setup is quick and pretty simple, and is doable in the dark if you 're familiar with the process and the tent. I really like the overall design and features: roomy, vestibules, inside mesh pockets in all 4 corners, interior hanger loops, the fly- great tent in my experience!

I 've used this tent for backcountry camping, hunting, using it as my tent while working wildfire in Alberta. I 've had my dog in it with my( 110lbs). and spent probably 50 nights in it since i bought it a couple of years ago. Nothing has broken on it, its still waterproof, it packs well into my backpacking bag, it was relatively cheap. Really nothing i can complain about. Nice job North Face

[ Was looking for a car camping tent, larger and more comfortable than the backpacking tent I 've had for ages. The DogHouse would sleep 2 very comfortably, you could sleep 4 if you do n't mind being a sardine. Steep sided walls gives the tent a very spacious feel. I could erect and take down the tent solo, but did struggle a bit the first time I pitched the tent to insert the tent pole into the final grommet. Also took me a while to figure out how to get the horizontal top pole out of the snap when breaking the tent down. Overall, the tent erected pretty quickly and easily in subsequent uses after the fabric stretched out a bit. Good ventilation, beefy stakes, seems to be a strong, stable tent, certainly fine for summer camping, probably 3 season. Worst conditions I 've been in are moderate wind and rain overnight, and the tent shed water no problem. I 'm assuming the fabric has a DWR coating, and it's unclear how long the waterproofing would last. I did not buy the ridiculously expensive footprint, just used a tarp close to the correct size and that worked fine. Tent material did catch in the zipper when zipping open or close the door. I wonder if anyone has solved this though.

[ i love this little clam shack! my grandparents always had a screenhouse. we just moved& i wanted one too! this is a perfect size 6x6. it is lightweight and easy to put up once you figure it out. i swear i had 3 neighbors laughing at me when i was trying. i had to bring out the big guns& grab my husband lol 😂 it also breaks down easily and fits into the bag in the photo.

I bought this a month ago and we love it, helps keep our 3 year old from running around at the ball fields and helps block the sun, and is great with blocking the wind, we were iffy at first with the walls being mesh but have n't used it in the rain yet.
