Trying to get back to consistent running and going longer distances. I previously had another brand ’s vest that I only used collapsible water bottles in the front pockets and never used a bladder. Always had comfort issues with it though and overall felt like I could never it to fit comfortably. For this vest though, I have run three 10 mile+ runs and find this one very comfortable. I was easily able to adjust this to fit correctly. I find the bladder easy to use and has been good to use with Tailwind Nutrition as my fuel of choice. I like the available storage as well and enjoy having a space for my phone. There is also so much more storage that I could utilize and have barely scratched the surface of. I did carry sunglasses with me on a run and was nice to have them with me even though I didn ’ t ultimately use them. Definitely happy with this purchase and look forward to more long runs with it.

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. I use it for work and anytime I need to have my laptop and iPad on me( a lot of the time). I love how the laptop sleeve has a false bottom so when you place the laptop in the backpack it does n't accidentally knock the surface the backpack may be resting on. I use the sleeve next to the laptop sleeve for files, and it has enough space for everything I need without being too big or too small. Comfortable, no worries. I 'm not thinking about having any other backpack- it suits my needs perfectly.

Only lasts about a year then the cloth part of zipper goes bad. I ’ ve returned daylite many times. While I appreciate the all might guarantee, it ’s still a hassle to continue this process. I 've had this pack for 4+ years now. I take it on a couple backpacking trips a year on average and some day hikes where I 'm carrying more than normal. It's always fit everything I need. I 've carried a large tandem packraft and paddles with it( alpacka forager). I 've hiked 30 miles of the Kesugi Ridge Trail with it. The most notable use I think was for a caribou hunt I did a couple years ago on the Denali Highway. I packed out a cow caribou including all meat and 4 quarters bone in and the hide with my other knives and day pack type gear 5 miles down a mountain side and back to the parking lot via the trail. Roughly 100lbs. No buckles broke or came undone under tension, no rips, straps worked well to keep the load secure and close to my body. It only creaked and groaned a bit under that load, but otherwise performed well especially for not being a hunting pack. I would buy again!

This pack surprised me on the upside. For my daily needs, I only need 16 liters, but I carry a 13 '' laptop and want good organization. This pack delivers. It's a very good design and great materials. Well thought out internal organization. My only gripe is the fabric used for the top quick access pocket feels like cheap sweatshirt material. It wo n't scratch sunglasses, but I 'd prefer something a little nicer. That said, I give this pack a thumbs up.

It is exactly what I was looking for in an everyday pack that I can also use for day hikes. The pockets are great, the straps are all adjustable and there even a whistle on the chest strap. Lots of options for attachment of items such as poles on the exterior of the pack. I love the small fleece pocket at the top of the bag. The outer pocket is great for putting wet or smelly items in. The water bottle pockets can be a bit of squeeze if you have a full pack for a Nalgene but it still fits. There is also a hole for a hydration bladder to fit through. Overall great pack for everyday life and day adventures! Love it.

My only disappointment was the trekking pole loops, which FUNCTION, but I typically carry them in one of the side stretch pockets as the bungees are not especially robust. Do not expect to be able to carry more than a rain jacket, down jacket, and a few essentials.

My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. My son picked this out to carry his lacrosse gear. This is a great backpack with plenty of room. There ’s a separate, zippered compartment on the bottom for his cleats. It also fits a pair of flip flops. The main compartment fits his shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves, and has some extra room for his jersey, small towel, and clean shirt. I bought an Exos 48 to downsize and reduce from my Aether 65. I ’ ve been on two 7 day treks and it ’s worked out perfectly for less than 30 lbs loads even with a bear vault. I have the Exos from like 7 years ago, I think 2 or 3 models ago. The ones that came out after my version had a mix of materials for the side and front stretch pockets. Mine is all stretch mesh which I prefer. I also have the hip belt pockets but I think they are smaller than the pockets on this new version. I am very happy with my Exos and love the vented back panel and having the option to remove the brain/lid to make it a smaller bag when needed. I have even used it as a day bag when the brain is removed. If you are on the fence between this 48L and the 38L, look at the dimensions, this one is only an inch wider. I am sure there are improvements on this new model but I am really happy with my old version. If you are n't someone that counts every ounce possible, this is a great pack. It is in a good price range for all you get with this bag. It is lighter than most packs in it's size range, has a lot of external storage pockets, internal frame, and has the best ventilated back panel I have used.

[ I have several hiking bags, some much more expensive and some lighter and some bigger, the bridger 45 hits the sweet spot for day hikes with the family. Enough features to make access and packing easy and provides support and space for the extras needed while being a parent. The take off lid is nice and the comfort and load distribution is second to none.

[ Good pack. Suits my needs well. I like to do a lot of photography and have been dissatisfied with even photo packs meant to go long distances. I never felt the suspension was very good. This pack has a lot of storage/organization and the way it opens up, it makes getting to equipment easy. I use a removable camera storage unit( an ICU) which fits well and the pack carries much better than my other camera pack.

6/22: had the Sirrus 24 for years. liked it. Compression- fratured lumbar region early spring. Feared hiking days over. stubborn but realistic: Had to carry pack light and high. Wore same clothes daily, hat, pricey poles. Tied jacket around waist, saved pack space for tent, food, water, rain gear, navigation, first aid, sleeping bag n cooking gear. There was other stuff inside bag, but I forget. Was able to carry light even with food. This pack solved my weight fears: helped me keep all under weight, not stressing back. Wore a lot; usually kept inside pack. Used water bladder. Was able to muster the entire CT in 2022. Cons: not able to reach back and grasp water bottles, pockets on belt too small and plastic zippers ceased in cold. Otherwise; really liked.

This daypack is a well- rounded minimal travel daypack. One large compartment that is expandable. Folds down flat so it can be packed. Comes with a couple of well placed straps for compression and stability( sternum strap). The bottom is made of a more durable material. It's not too hard to pack and make this backpack stand on its own. Looks great too! Small con: bottle side pockets can be hard to use if pack is full. Maybe stretchy side pockets would work better. Would suggest Fjallraven team explore two- tone color options in the future.

I grabbed this with the intention of it being an addition to my bike set up. I was torn between this bag and the Abisko Hike Foldsack but decided upon this one because it rolls up and can easily store on my bike during transit. On my way home with groceries I can unroll it and wo n't have to worry about stuffing everything into my handle bar bag. Overall I am biased to say I love all Fjallraven items and have not purchased anything from them that has let me down.

I was reading the reviews and was saddened to see a not so good one... I love my Tempest! I want a new one, only because it is so- so dirty from travel and use. It is my daily driver, I keep it in the car for dogs, hikes, exploring, I take it skiing for snacks, layers, water and goodies, I take it overseas China Great Wall, South Korea Hiking, Europe day trips and for quick outings, hiking, exploring the foreign towns and cities. I am buying a new slick silver one for skiing and day hikes. I 'll keep the old one for the doggies and the car. I love my Tempest!

I recently went on a camping trip to Big Pine, CA. I hiked up to First and Second Lake which was about an 11. 3 mile hike and roughly 6. 5 hours. The Tempest 9 was perfect! I was able to fit a 3L hydration pack, my snacks, a small first aid kit and other items for the hike. I was a little worried the Tempest 9 was going to be too small, but it did the job. When it came time to selecting a size, I measured at 17 '' '' so I could have gone with either the XS/S or the M/L, I went with the XS/S, however, wished I would have went with the M/L. The hipbelt ended up coming up to my bellybutton. Overall, I am really happy with this backpack!

[ This is my fourth Osprey backpack. I needed a daypack to hike Pike's Peak. This fit the bill, plenty of room for water. Change of clothes and snacks with room to spare. I will say that you do have to put the bladder( not included) into the pack before you pack in the rest of your items. A little annoying but also no big deal. Fit great and comfortable which is the most important part.
