One of the shoes had a misprint of the “ HOKA ” logo on it. Also they seamed to be “ used ” and not just “ tried on ” …. That ’s ridiculous considering they are$ 240 shoes. After I returned them I ordered another pair as an exchange and believe it or not I was sent the EXACT same shoes back to me. This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. So far these have been great in the cold, snowy winter. They seem to be waterproof as advertised and are relatively comfortable. They work well for shoveling and are comfortable enough to wear to quick trips to stores, etc. I would n't want to wear them all day long. I specifically went with the all black version of these since they look like sneakers not something you 'd wear to climb Everest. I recommend them.

[ This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one:) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I had n't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I 'm sold. I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

Work boots, any brand I ’ ve tried many different brands over the years, usually last 2 months a few lasted 3 months but they were destroyed. Will resist water to a point, but it ’s not meant to be a rain boot. Comfortable, extremely so during the first 200 miles. Love the grip of the soles, especially in more treacherous conditions. I needed some hiking shoes to hike North Cascades National Park in Seattle. Never had hiking shoes before, but hated that they looked so clunky. I saw that trail running shoes work well for hikes as well and allow your feet to stay flexible. I saw these for sale and gave it a try. Wow. It genuinely provided so much support for hiking and light jogging. I hiked through brush, rocks, gravel, tree roots, grass, and other terrains. I did n't slip a single time and the shoes really cushioned each step. Safe to say, I would have been doomed with regular running shoes. After hiking a few days, the shoes still looked new! They were a bit dusty from the trail itself, though. Treads on the bottom looked new, did n't see any scratches or gouges, laces were not frayed. I got the Gore- Tex variant, so at the end of the hike, I walked into the shallow end of a lake and wiped them off, no water got in. I half- sized up. My regular shoe size is a 9, but I went 9. 5 because I wore thicker socks and appreciate the toe room during hiking as I do n't want my toes banging the front of the shoe. Feet also swell when hiking. All in all, I hiked around 20 miles on this trip as well as walking around city areas, so probably closer to 30 miles. I had no issues whatsoever and would recommend them. If Nike wants to sponsor me for this review, I 'm all ears because they 've won me over with these purposeful shoes.

They ’ re lightweight but have plenty of cushioning to make them comfortable to wear for extended periods and an array of activities. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

I took this on my first trip to the western states and used them hiking in Estes State Park and Yellowstone, my legs were sore from the inclines and walking long before my feet ever where! They are extremely light weight making walking the inclines easier to go up. The waterproofing on them is fabulous to! I never had to worry about crossing small streams or pudles cause I could just walk through them.

These all- weather sneaker- boots are great looking and rugged. With the insulation and foot bed padding they are fairly snug at first. After a couple days of break- in, however, they are coming around fine. If you prefer a roomy fit, maybe get a half- size bigger than normal.

Great boots, but size up by 0. 5! I ’ m a 10. 5 and needed an 11 for a proper fit. Also, check the inside toe area for quality control issues — my first pair had dented material inside that rubbed my left toe. Exchanged them and the second pair is perfect.
