I bought a pair of these pants about 20 years ago and wore them until recently when the lining started to deteriorate. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33 '' inseam, but these pants are perfect! I 'm 5' 8 '', 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. OK I have tried A LOT of different pants for outdoor climbing... these are hands down my# 1 favorites for warm weather. They are VERY stretchy and somehow quite durable- no tears and minimal piling after TONS of abrasive granite, limestone and tuff over the last year, and I 'm back ordering in another color. I love the high waist, the side pockets and that I can move so freely, including very high steps:) They are flattering, comfy and stay cool. I would size down if between sizes as the fit is loose. I would love to see some additional fun colors- teal, green etc.

Buy these, particularly if you 're a curvy outdoor gal! I bought two pairs a couple months ago and am now living in them, as the weather warms. Fabric is a little thin, but that's great for the warm, humid south. Biggest perk is that they work great on an active, but curvy figure. I ca n't do some of the other styles that are cut slim in the butt/thigh/hip area, but these look great and are super comfy.( For ref b/c it helps me, I 'm 5' 4 '', curvy, and wear medium Dynama products). I 've had several pairs of rain pants from other manufacturers over the years and these are the best so far. They do n't restrict my leg movements, do n't leak, and are easy to get on and off. The rise is high, so you have good overlap with your top and the waist drawstring seems sturdy enough, although I pair them with suspenders also. Rain and wet brush are expected if you are outside much of the year here in the PNW, so you need some good rain pants.

My issue is n't with the pants which are great, BUT with the sizing chart- I am 6' 3 '' and 36 '' waist and a large size works for me but I have an 34 '' inseam and the chart recommendation is to get a tall size however I think regular would have been much better. The pant legs bunch up at the bottom when I have mid waterproof hiking shoes on. The OR pro deal is great but unfortunately they do n't allow exchanges or returns. I would liked to have swapped this pair for a large regular.

The Web is great because of the zippers... but the Midsummer pants are so light and look so great, my Kebs will most likely do n't see much of the sun. The cuffs with the drawcord are great. they will allow you you pull the pants up to your knee and fix them so you can wade in the water. The material is light and I doubt that it will hold up when you do some serious hiking and your gear takes a beating. But time will tell. [ So I initially ordered these to have a pair of lightweight hiking pants for the days when it ’s too cold for shorts but too warm for a heavier pair of trousers like my vidda pros. After receiving them I was really surprised with how light and comfortable they were. They look sharp enough to go to a modest dinner in but are also equally fitting for sitting around the campfire. The zippered pockets are one or the primary reasons I purchased them because I ’ ve had my pocket knife or other small items fall out of my pocket when sitting down more times than I know. Now here is what really surprised me about the pants. In case you didn ’ t know, Vardag means “ everyday life ” in Swedish. This I have found is a perfect name for these pants because I have worn them nearly every single day since I received them about a month ago. Because of their versatility I find myself putting them on first thing in the morning and basically going about my entire day without changing out of them until bedtime. They really do live up to their name of “ everyday life ” pants. I have slowly purchased several Fjallraven products over the past year or so including Vidda pro pants, Anorak No. 8, Organic cotton sweatshirt, high coast hip pack, and these pants. If I could only choose one Fjallraven product out of all of those it would likely be these pants. That said, every item I have received from them has been the highest of quality and gives me the fizz each time I use it. I ’ m grateful God has allowed me to own such fine items during my short time on this earth. In closing, my experience with these pants and Fjallraven, Kifaru, Leupold, or other high end manufacturers in general is to buy quality one time and be done with it. I own a lot less stuff now than I used to and my closet has very few items in it compared to most but every item I own is of the highest quality and I feel has enhanced my enjoyment exploring the creation we call earth.

The material stretches and I have not noticed any wear after several washes. I am usually tough on clothing and these show no sign of abuse. The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. They do n't have the zipper thigh pocket but as I mentioned this gives them a slightly more formal look and fit. Obviously it goes without saying that they are comfortable, stretchy and lightweight like the entire Ferrosi line. Sometimes the Ferrosi line is known to pill but I have n't noticed any yet after a couple of months wear.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

The pants have a perfect amount of stretch, which makes them comfortable during a day on the trail, and when relaxing around camp afterward. The zippered legs come off and on easily, and the adjustable drawstring at the ankle allows you to cinch it up around your boot to help keep 6- 8 legged critters and trail debris out of your shoes. I like them, and they look good with my Scout leader uniform too. I went with the Morel color, as the Verde was a little too green for my tastes.

I at first bought a size small and they fit me like a glove, then returned for a medium so that I could wear them on top of my bottom layers for the day. The medium fit well with jeans and thermals under. The bottom of the pants have an elastic to go around your boot to keep snow from getting in your pants and boots and that seemed to hold up well despite me trucking along in several feet of snow.

These pants are awesome. Great baggier fit for people with larger muscular legs. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 or 188cm and I got a L regular. Slightly long but nothing a belt can ’ t help. One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.
