It has a hook catch and water drip caps that are very useful. A small downside is the the paddles blade reinforcement that Pelican designed with only one narrow stripe. BTW, the Pelican warranty deserves a good review, I had an issue and it was addressed in a quick and efficient way. In total, I am buying a second one to the partner I will paddle with in my tandem kayak.

I enjoy using this paddle. I have the 225 centimeter length, and it is very light, at only about 30 ounces. The blades deliver force, while still being light. I paddled at a medium- fast pace on a calm lake, in about a one and a half mile loop without getting tired. I did not have gloves on, and the rubber grips kept me from getting blisters. The drip rings worked, but because of the asymmetrical design, when you lift the paddle at too steep of an angle water drips off of the blades onto you. Not an issue if you have a spray skirt. The paddle floats, and the two halves fit together tightly, so that there was not a single drop of water in side when I took it apart. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality, effective, and inexpensive paddle.

I got a few of these for my paddles. I am redoing my gear room, hanging kayaks on wall. I got these holders to not mount on kayaks, as who wants to put holes in boats? I got them to screw into the rafters to clip my sets of paddles to the ceiling. The end tips close a tad behind the paddle, keeping it secure and can hang upside down. Tho I am still in process of redoing room, I have not hung up paddles yet, but IT WILL without a doubt work. This is my third purchase and installation of a YakGear anchor trolley kit. I loved it on my first two kayaks and had to have it for my new Pelican Catch 100 also purchased from Dick ’s. I often fish areas where winds and/or currents carry me away from a hot spot and force me to quit fishing in order to paddle back to where the fish are. The trolley allows me to stay put and to be pointed in the right direction at the same time. Installation was easy thanks to multiple how- to videos on the internet. Only tools required are a drill and a Phillips screwdriver or rivet gun. Great product at a good price.

It holds well and is completely adjustable allowing me to anchor and fish at any angle to the wind or sun. I now have a newer kayak and will mount 2 of this same product, one on each side. Installed on a Wilderness Pungo 120 using You Tube directions. The written directions were confusing. Using You Tube, installation was a piece of cake. I 've only used the set up twice. Each trip it worked great. The second trip was windy with 10- 13 mph. winds. Anchored with the wind at my back so I was able to cast left, right and front. Glad I had the set up, otherwise the trip would have been a bust. Fishing would have been impossible.
