I 'm 17 stone and needed shoes that could handle my weight, I googled running shoes for large males and brooks came up, since then I 've always used brooks shoes for my running and walking, I started with trace 2's and walked/speed walked for 11 months on roads and football fields/rugby fields 3 miles a day then when they wore out I graduated to glycerine GTS which is when I started running/jogging again and I continued using them for another year 3 miles a day and also in the gym on the treadmill and on the stairmaster so then I needed to get a new pair so I chose glycerin again which I have to say are the best overall shoes for exercising on all different levels I 'm very happy with the first and second pair of glycerins and continue to wear them for gym work and as a very comfortable shoe for my 12 hour shifts as a care giver. I recently bought a pair of ghost max 2 shoes and I love them but they have much stiffer/harder feel all round and a larger roll forward type sole shape, I 've had to break them then in for the last month as they are much more robust than the glycerins which are straight out of the box run ready! I 'm enjoying the ghost max but be warned that they are so, so different than the trace and glycerin, it's completely changed my running style with the ghost max.... Conclusion.. They are higher and more supportive and stronger all round and slightly heavier too but the finish is top quality, the DNA foam is exceptional quality and comfort the colours are as usual amazing, The tounge padding is good but moves around a lot, the laces are good, the air cooling is great as usual, I 'll always buy brooks as they always make shoes that the customers want and need to exacting standards and for a 17 stone 245 pound heavy built weight training/running fanatic they suit me and my exercise obsessions very well...

The best description I can give would be a cross between dri- fit and tech fleece. The only thing I don ’ t quite understand is the crease on the legs as if they were meant for dress attire. The pants are more on the relax fit side, but cuff a bit at the ankle which looks great for any shoes you might want to show off. Overall, such a great pair of everyday pants!

These pants are awesome for winter outdoor and athletic activities. They are lined and windproof, so you can wear them when it is pretty cool to cold and your legs stay warm. I have used them for golf, outdoor exercise and just outdoor chores around the house. The extra cargo pockets on the legs are great to put your phone in and they snap so your items are secure, but still easily accessible. The regular pockets all have zippers, so again, everything you put in them stays secure no matter what you are doing.

I got these for walking. So far I walked 50km in these and they feel amazing. My estimated normal size is ~13. 2 but since no one makes size 13. 5 I 'm usually either a bit cramped( big toe pushed inwards) in a 13 or swimming in a 14. I got these in size 14 and while they are slightly long, the lockdown around the midfoot is excellent and long length has never been a problem- on the contrary, I enjoy the airy feel in the toe box. The cushioning is just right for walking( or heavier runners)- it's noticeably stiffer than a typical running shoe so I do n't feel like I 'm walking on quicksand. I walked up to 15km per day in these, spending on my feet all day, and there was never any foot pain and my legs felt awesome. I ’ ve been wearing these pants for both work and play for the last 3 years. Phenomenal in almost every way. Hard wearing, durable, and stylish. I do wish they were a bit thicker( like this version from years ago), but they are thick enough for construction work. They happen to be just right for backpacking in the Winds of Wyoming- warm days, cold nights. As to the comments from others about being too tight, order a larger size… Pockets are adequate for what I put in them but they are not giant cargo pockets. No offense, but size up. I ’ m specifically speaking to my thiqq boys that make noise in the gym. We love leg day, we do it because it allows us to hike for longer. We do it for the glutes. Trust me when I say it ’s not you it ’s them. Size up and thank me later. Aside from the sizing I love these and I personally think they are a great investment if you want to take your hiking attire to the next level. Ventilation isn ’ t the cure for everything and everyone sweats differently. The ventilation here definitely cured my souther sweat factory. I used these on a hike and my back was getting sweaty so on way back I ventilated and holy cow what a difference. You sacrifice a pocket and some thigh space by having the zipper to ventilate but this thiqq boy doesn ’ t like to chafe and am I happy I found these. I still give these a 5 star regardless of the size up. I do not like to have a sweaty bottom or back and this did exactly what I needed. Take the time and invest in gear that will last longer, haste makes chafe.

I 'm so glad I did n't order these online, I opted to try on my normal size at a local retailer and they were crazy tight, like early 2000s skinny jeans. I then tried on 2 sizes up from my regular waist size and they fit nicely with a belt. If you work out and have thighs and glutes that are semi- built order a size or two up in the waist for mobility. As far as quality goes, I like the thickness and rigidity of the material, definitely a nice resistant fabric.
