I would recommend these shoes to anyone. I just completed a 154km trail run these shoes across some brutal terrain and didn ’ t get any blisters. So comfortable, very durable and I got the all green shoe which also looks amazing. Can not recommend enough.

Amazing shoe! Soft and grippy, upgraded from the V8 and initially got some lateral calf pain I think due to the different tread pattern but wore them in just enough before my UTA50 race and they performed super well, no blisters or more foot pain than you would expect after 50k.

I gave these as a Christmas gift to my dad. He was so thrilled with them. He loved the firmness of the sole as he is using them on his mountain bike. He has a similar version without the extra black textile on the side but they really stretched out. The black textile seems to help hold the shape of the shoe better than just suede. Width is perfect not too wide.

I love these shoes! I had two pairs of the 5s. The rubber did come off on the bottom the first week but I superglued it back on. I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc in these babies and they did great! Love the extra cushioning and durability. Will definitely buy them again for my next long hike. The extra cushioning prevented any foot pain. I 'd say they lasted a whole summer of maybe 200 miles of hiking!

The Olympus 6 is so comfortable and actually feels like a true Altra wide toebox shoe. I 've been wearing them everyday since I got them 2 weeks ago and I have n't had any issues. Plus the colors are great! The pictures do n't do justice. Best Olympus yet.

[ I have been using the Altra Olympus 6 for hiking, running, and fastpacking. This is my first time trying a full- cushion trail shoe, but I have been road running in the Altra Torin for about 6 years. After about 25 miles of mixed terrain, weather and landscapes, I feel this shoe excels in climbing and tackling dry, loose terrain. I felt stable and powerful sprinting up sandy hillsides and dusty singletrack. The shoe absorbs the impact of large gravel, and bites into turns well. I slid around a bit on large wet roots and slick rocks under the stiff midfoot but recovered quickly and happily traded that for the protection from sharp obstacles. The high stack kept my feet dry when encountering mud and puddles, while the well ventilated upper kept me comfortable on long, hot days. The contoured form around the Achilles took a little getting used to, but it worked to lock my heel on ascents; no hot spots. Laces stay tied. Altra gave me this free product to try, and I 'm looking forward to putting many more miles on it.

[ All I run in is Altra's, so I was stoked when Altra gave me this free product to try. The Olympus 6's look a bit like oversize clown shoes, however, they are SO comfortable I just love running in them! Recently, I was running up a muddy hill along Minnehaha Creek in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and some guy and his dog tried to run up the same hill, and he started sliding down it! I reached my hand out to help him get up the hill, and so he grabbed onto it, and the grip of these shoes was nearly strong enough to hold up him and me, but eventually he started to drag me down the hill with him, so I yelled at him to let go, as he propelled up. It was reaffirming to me though how well these Olympus 6's performed compared to other trail shoes- especially on the wet/muddy ground! These Olympus 6's have one heck of a grip! The colors are decent( I always prefer men's colors to women's, but the women's are okay on this model shoe). The heel is a bit large on me, and the shoes look silly on my skinny legs, but these really are super comfortable shoes that still feel pretty lightweight( all things considered) and really do perform well! For someone looking for a high cushioned shoe with good traction, I 'd highly recommend the Olympus 6's. Thanks Altra for providing these shoes for free to me so I could review them. I sure do love them!

Comfortable out box; went with a size larger based in reviews, might stay with normal size next time. Toe box is wider which is what I was looking for. I walk on greenway paths so asphalt. I do not run, but am an avid hiker. Several people encouraged me to switch to a trail runner to alleviate some of the pain and blisters I was experiencing with my boots. My life is changed! This is hands down the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I LOVE these shoes for long- distance hikes as well as just every day wear. I do find they run a bit large, My street shoe is a 9 and the 8. 5s are perfect. I am planning to wear these shoes for a 175- mile trek through Portugal.
