Like any clothing, the fit depends on your build, but I love the tapered style — these make my calves look like an NFL running back's. I 'm about 6' 0 '', 170 lbs, very lean — similar to VRST ambassador Devonta `` Smitty '' Smith. Please, I 'm practically begging you: offer more colors! A lighter grey, balsam green, deeper khaki, or a good shade of red — I 'd buy every one. Also, consider adding belt loops. Keep the stretchy liner at the waist, maybe tweak or remove the strings that get destroyed in the dryer, but belt loops would make it easy to tuck in a polo without looking ridiculous on the course. Love the fit, love the material, and I 'd throw even more money your way with these small updates. VRST has done it again. I have some pants made by another company that are similar to these and I would choose these over the other brand. The fabric is softer and looks more like a traditional khaki pant. These pants come with a little extra room in the hip and thigh area, so they fit nice and comfortable. The material has a slight stretch to it, so range of motion is not limited in any way. The fabric is moisture wicking so they dry quick. The pants also have UV protection which is alway a plus if you are out in the sun. Beside the main side pocket on the right side there is also a zippered pocket to keep keys safe to they do n't fall out. The back pocket also has a zipper if you are someone who keeps their wallet in their back pocket. Overall great fit and comfort. I will be buying more of these.

I have used them for golf, outdoor exercise and just outdoor chores around the house. I ’ ve been wearing these pants for both work and play for the last 3 years. Phenomenal in almost every way. Hard wearing, durable, and stylish. I do wish they were a bit thicker( like this version from years ago), but they are thick enough for construction work. They happen to be just right for backpacking in the Winds of Wyoming- warm days, cold nights. As to the comments from others about being too tight, order a larger size… Pockets are adequate for what I put in them but they are not giant cargo pockets. One of the best features is the strategic stretch material. Pants are never binding and always comfortable. Thank you for making an amazing product!

No offense, but size up. I ’ m specifically speaking to my thiqq boys that make noise in the gym. We love leg day, we do it because it allows us to hike for longer. We do it for the glutes. Trust me when I say it ’s not you it ’s them. Size up and thank me later. Aside from the sizing I love these and I personally think they are a great investment if you want to take your hiking attire to the next level. Ventilation isn ’ t the cure for everything and everyone sweats differently. The ventilation here definitely cured my souther sweat factory. I used these on a hike and my back was getting sweaty so on way back I ventilated and holy cow what a difference. You sacrifice a pocket and some thigh space by having the zipper to ventilate but this thiqq boy doesn ’ t like to chafe and am I happy I found these. I still give these a 5 star regardless of the size up. I do not like to have a sweaty bottom or back and this did exactly what I needed. Take the time and invest in gear that will last longer, haste makes chafe.

Initial observations. These pants are true to size. They fit great with a belt. I was worried about the boot hook and vent zipper. The boot hook is tucked away so that it is protected from accidently catching. The zipper pulls on the vents tucks away when open or closed.

I have awkward measurements, pear shaped and honestly have tried on all the hiking brands. This pair is just right. The waistband is flattering and comfortable, length is fine too. I 'm 5 ft 3 tall and 158lbs currently. Medium was just right and I can even wear a thin layer underneath for cooler hikes.

Currently using these on the AT. They are lightweight, dry fast, sit comfortably under my hip belt, and have a nice stretch. The cinch at the bottom is nice for hiking them up during hot days. My only complaints are the pockets could be a little bigger/deeper, and there should be more colors. I am 5' 4 '', 150#, and have square hips and a flatter butt, usually wear between a size 6 and 8 in pants. Size small fits perfectly in these.

These pants are awesome. I ordered a large and then a medium because the sizing does seem to run on the larger side. I was comfortable in both, but ultimately decided to keep the medium. I usually am a size 10, athletic build, and I am 5'10. There was just too much extra fabric in the front and hip region in the large. These pants exceeded my expectations. They are very lightweight, breathable, stretchy, and surprisingly comfortable. The inner waist ties are a bit goofy since they have belt loops, but overall, I really enjoy them on and off the trail. They are definitely on the lighter side, though, and seem like more of a fair weather pant if you are n't planning on running heavier base layers underneath. Highly recommended though, and quickly becoming my favorite hiking pants.

I bought these because I liked the zip- off Ferrosi's so much and these pants are great! Despite being in the same family, the fabric feels a little different between these and the zip- offs but still incredibly stretchy and breathable. Like the zip- off, these have the built- in draw string and leg cuffs which is handy for ditching the belt and being able to pull up the cuffs if you like. These have become more of my casual around town pant now because they 're just so comfortable.

The weight and fabric is breathable light. It is the lightest pants I have hiked with. In areas where shorts are not the best option but it is hot these have been a life saver! I like the pockets and drawstring at the waist and ankles. Beginners and experts could both benefit from these pants. The only drawback is that it is thin fabric which can snare on twigs and tear. Pretty durable for their weight though.

My last pair shrunk a bit so I upsided on these in case of that. These are the most comfortable hiking pants I have owned. Also very durable. My last pair had the zipper to make shorts, which I hardly ever used and was less comfortable due to the zipper. I had a pair of these about 5 years ago when I walked the Camino in Spain. After walking, I backpackad throughout Europe for the next 12 months. These were my only pants. They are durable, lightweight, breathable, dry fast and I loved them for all of that plus the zippered pocket that kept my wallet and passport safe in Paris when two friends had theirs stolen. The majority of the time I hand washed them since an actual washing machine was wishful thinking. Fortunately, they do n't hold onto sweat and stink like some man- made fabrics so a sink, some warm water, a little bit of soap, and some elbow grease kept me from being too socially unacceptable. Did they pill? Yes, between the thighs. So what. The zippers held, no seams unraveled, the front button did n't pop when I first wore them and was too fat for them and the drawstring was a lifesaver when they were too loose when I finished. Ladies, these are a perfect pant. I just bought a new pair. It's the right time. Adventure awaits!

Love these. I have two pairs in different colors. I get many compliments on them while hiking. They are comfortable and the waist height is perfect. Love the side zipper pocket AND the back zipper pocket. For sizing, I am 5' 4 '' and a muscular 130 pounds, and the size 4 fits me well. I got these pants in anticipation of starting a season of trail work. They held up through an entire season of rock work, which was pretty impressive. The material was relatively breathable for being so durable.
