I 'm very happy with this purchase. The only recommendation for improvement I can make is that the cork handles come unsealed. Since these are going to be used heavily in a wide range of weather conditions, from the hot Arizona sun, Monsoon rains, and even snow, I felt it essential to seal the cork to ensure the handles hold up to the use I plan on giving them. I recommend UV- 40 cork seal. I have used it on fly rod handles I have made and it works perfectly, and lasts many, many years. Make sure to follow the application instructions on the bottle. Apply one good coat using a bristle brush. Make sure you do n't have any drips, runs or sags. Do not apply a second coat, as it will not penetrate.

Just purchased these poles after reviewing my health issues. Being a diabetic for 57yrs I am developing some balance issues. Researching canes I discovered how anti- postural they are, plus clumsy. An elderly neighbor was seen walking with trekking poles. I thought that was a good idea. I purchased my set from a chain sporting good store and got some walking shoes as well. Studied how to properly fit and use trekking poles. The experience is natural when set up correctly. Walking gate and posture are enhanced and I look forward to many walking excursions. I live in the intermountain west which is perfect location to use this valuable tool.

5
FlashFlood
I enjoy using this paddle. I have the 225 centimeter length, and it is very light, at only about 30 ounces. The blades deliver force, while still being light. I paddled at a medium- fast pace on a calm lake, in about a one and a half mile loop without getting tired. I did not have gloves on, and the rubber grips kept me from getting blisters. The drip rings worked, but because of the asymmetrical design, when you lift the paddle at too steep of an angle water drips off of the blades onto you. Not an issue if you have a spray skirt. The paddle floats, and the two halves fit together tightly, so that there was not a single drop of water in side when I took it apart. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality, effective, and inexpensive paddle.

Very comfortable and lightweight! ... I love them and are very durable so this set are the exact same as my old ones because I like how durable and tough they
5
Ernie
I have not used this set yet, but I already have the same model that i 've been using for the last 3 years. Each year I put at least 500 miles of use on them and it was n't until a few weeks ago that it was time for a new set. The reason was n't because they wore out but because I was off trail going through a very rocky area and I slipped and fell. One of my Poles was in between two boulders and it bent as I put all my weight on it to stop my fall. I was able to bent it back and they are still usable but it just became annoying to try to collapse them all the time with the slight bent. My other Pole's tip was slammed and pushed into the pole during the fall, but again, still usable and i 've used them on many hikes after the fall. I love them and are very durable so this set are the exact same as my old ones because I like how durable and tough they are.

My wife and I got kayaks for early Christmas presents so after looking online and checking reviews I bought two of these paddles. I used my husband's super light BD trekking poles, but when it came to getting my own, I choose the shock absorbing version. Trekking poles are a great way to warm up my arms on the way to crag, which is usually uphill. On the way home, I can really lean on these shock absorbing poles to save my knees and feel more confident that I am not going to biff with a heavy pack!

These are premier. While this is my first set I am impressed. I am 6'- 4 '' and was concerned with the height being what was needed. [ I used these on a 7. 5 mile hike with 3400 feet of elevation gain-- it was constantly up and down-- and they were great. Some of the adjustment clasps were difficult to close, but once I wrangled them, the poles stayed put and did n't shrink or expand without my consent.( I 've borrowed poles that shrank when I leaned on them.) These are the first hiking poles I 've owned, and I 'm excited to get more use out of them.

I never have used hiking poles before but decided to get them in place of ski poles to help me with walking and snowshoeing during my knee replacement rehab. So far so good with my new trekking poles. My first pair served me well for 3 years. I broke one this winter coming down from South Double Top in the Catskills. My new pair is an improvement. The cork handles are more generous in overall circumference which fit my hands better. The lock mechanism is a vast improvement over my first pair that incorporated a retractable collar which collapsed on me when i reach too far down on the pole when ascending a step climb. I` m very pleased with my new trekking poles. Kudos to Black Diamond for making such a great product. Happy Trails... Mick

Love these poles. Previously had the Alpine Carbon Cork. These feel very light but solid. Easily collapsable and has the best hand grips out there. The cork is so much better that the foam on some of there other models. I also like how the M/L grip is a bit larger which feels good in the hand. Ive heard some reviews that the locking pin sometimes collapses under pressure but mine have been fine. Skip the higher priced carbon flzs and get these! Also the color on the website looks more orangy/red but they are a true red in reality.

These are replacements for poles that I had for more than 3000 miles. These poles lasted through many adventures in the desert Southwest and through the mountains in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. I watched all of my fellow hikers on the Appalachian Trail go through 2 to 6 pairs of trekking poles, but my poles lasted until after the 2200 miles traveled to Katahdin. They broke on the descent. I loved those trekking poles and I am thankful I had them!

I purchased my original Leki Cork Lite poles back in 2015, and they survived an entire thru- hike on the Appalachian Trail. If you need a quality trekking pole, I can highly recommend these after using them for thousands of miles on trail! I love the comfort of the cork handles. To top it off, the customer service at Leki is simply the best. They recently went above and beyond to help me replace a part on my older poles.
5
Connor
Great trekking poles- semi light weight and comfortable grips. Good adjustment mechanisms and lock reliably. With other poles I ’ m worried about straining too much backpacking weight and bending them, but I took these up Mt Baker and Mt Rainier( w/ opposing ice axe) and they were sturdy supporting 60+ lbs on my back. I wish they packed down a bit shorter( minimum length) for easier travel, but overall they ’ re great

The Stranger
Very nice poles! Have used them on some big mile days and the grips are superbly comfortable and I really like the minimalist straps. The fit/finish is excellent and no slipping from the locking mechanisms so far. Only issue I can find is that they feel somewhat flexy and do have a slight bit of vibration that you can feel during use as compared to the set of carbon poles I replaced these with. Minor things overall and they don ’ t seem to hinder the poles performance in the slightest. Overall very satisfied and a nice set of poles.

[ There are my first hiking poles and I am really enjoying them. The extentions stay in place securely are are quick to adjust. The cork is comfortable and absorbent, I am a very sweaty hiker living in a high temperature area so it important for me to have a secure grip. I only wanted poles with cork grips. I am enjoying how the poles make my hikes more of a full body workout than not having any and my knees are much happier. I have already caught myself one with a pole when I would have slipped on some risky ground and my stream crossings are more secure with more limbs. The carbide tips are very reliable at finding purchase along the trail. I am trying to get my husband to buy a pair for himself. He is only 2 inches taller than me and these were a good value. An investment in our joints and hiking safety.

Took these out for the first trip of the season last weekend, solid poles. The locking system is great. I choose these because I was looking for poles with cork handles and I could n't be happier. I would definitely purchase these again.

I grabbed a pair of these sweet tools to compliment the Fuels I already had. While I still love my Fuels there Reactors certainly swing a bit better into pure ice.

Picked these up to ice climb in Alaska and they were fantastic. Even as a beginner with a lot of technique to learn, the axe has great weight and maintains a good balance. I was getting great sticks on the first swing routinely. I like that the axe is rated for dry tooling to allow me to use it in mixed climbing situations. Just have to grab the right picks for it. I will say that these will probably be too heavy for any extended mountain use, but for hitting technical routes outside of town it's perfect.

The Reactor is one of the best tools I 've used on pure waterfall ice when paired with the new Natural Ice picks. The tools have a perfect swing. The adjustable handles work great when changing gloves to accommodate cooler or warmer temps. Used without hammer heads in softer ice and the addition of hammer heads for boiler plate ice was perfect for penetration. I prefer the weight with the addition of the hammer heads. The angles on the shaft and pick worked flawlessly when hooking cauliflower or pulling overhanging bulges. Just love hearing that “ thuck ” every first swing.

These tools are better than I am. I upgraded from gen. 1 Quarks, which I 've used for about 15 years. These come with a learning curve. It's hard to swing them straight at first, plus I kept hitting the handle. But with practice, they place easy and secure. They 're light and have a super comfortable grip. I 've tried the Nomics and find these to be about the same, and maybe even better for my grip. It takes longer to get pumped for sure. Definitely a worthy upgrade.

These sweet tools swing similarly to the over rated nomics. Feel really comfortable and efficient. My technical tool of choice.

Can not wait to use this reel. it's probably the lightest reel I 've ever owned, tipping the scales at a mere 4. 8 ounces. The thought of how effortless it will be to cast and maneuver with such a lightweight construction has me itching to hit the lake or river.

I have had this reel about a week, I am really happy with it. I love the color with just a little hint of purple on the metal. It ’s the perfect size to fit in your hand and light as a feather. After adjusting the reel the amb backlash system works great. It casts a mile and is as smooth as butter with the 11+1 bbs. The gear ratio is a nice for both worm and lure fishing. The drag is easy to adjust and works great. I have many reels of all kinds and makes and this is a home run. This will be my reel of choice from now on.

For context, I have been baitcasting for about two years now, but because I did n't know I would like it, I originally bought a cheap walmart reel. I traditionally liked spin casting. But with the weather getting warmer where I live, I decided it was time to upgrade.. enter Kastking! I love their products because they provide such great value( they are not always the cheapest, but for their price, I have never been disappointed with the quality). So, why this reel? with 11+1 BBS, this thing retrieves like a top. It is incredibly smooth. I am still somewhat new to understanding how gear ratio affects casting with different baits, but everything I have used casts extremely easily, and it has opened opportunities for me to try different baits. I am a big fan of the Texas rig, but I am moving into lighter baits, which this reel makes much easier. Now, every newer bait caster worries about nesting, but the dual braking system alleviated a lot of my concerns. It has made me much more confident about trying different cast methods. I also love that it is light and solid. My old reel weighed considerably more and felt more like a piece of garbage, this reel feels strong and like it should last a long time if I take care of it. It just feels premium in your hand. It was a great buy!

I bought a hammer and a tool after climbing with a pair last season. The concentration of the weight toward the head, the pick angle, and the grip angle make solid sticks much easier than with my previous tools. The grip angle, and being able to customize the fit with the spacers included, help with the pump on steel terrain. Testing them first made having them a must, and now I can ’ t wait for next season.
