I purchased this last spring for my motorcycle trip from Spring Branch, TX up to the Arctic Circle in Alaska and back. Great for the price. I 'm a hydration pack fanatic because I use them several times a week. This one is quite good. The good: Really well made and durable materials. It is a really versatile hydration pack that can be used for hiking, cycling, etc. It has some internal pockets in the main compartment that really distributes your stuff and the weight well and keeps the pack well balanced. The back pads are nice and plush. The straps are stout. The external stuff pockets on the side/front are very useful. I like how the waist straps tuck away if you are not using them. Trekking pole straps/compression straps are nice. The pack is really streamlined, fits snug against the body, and is very stable for activity. The stuff that can be improved: The hydration bladder and bite valve are not the best, but they do function decent and for the price it is not a big deal. It would be nice to have some sort of velcro on the large external stuff pocket just to secure your stuff a little.

Trying to get back to consistent running and going longer distances. I previously had another brand ’s vest that I only used collapsible water bottles in the front pockets and never used a bladder. Always had comfort issues with it though and overall felt like I could never it to fit comfortably. For this vest though, I have run three 10 mile+ runs and find this one very comfortable. I was easily able to adjust this to fit correctly. I find the bladder easy to use and has been good to use with Tailwind Nutrition as my fuel of choice. I like the available storage as well and enjoy having a space for my phone. There is also so much more storage that I could utilize and have barely scratched the surface of. I did carry sunglasses with me on a run and was nice to have them with me even though I didn ’ t ultimately use them. Definitely happy with this purchase and look forward to more long runs with it.

Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

[ I 've been using evac compression bags for awhile, the new UL ones are great for backpacking and using in your backpack but they can be a bit fragile this Heavy Duty version is excellent. It's super water resistant having used it on bikepacking trips in rain and mud my gear stayed bone dry inside. It's very durable meaning you can strap it right to your bike or whatever your needs may be without worry of wear and tear. The new style closure system with buckles on one side makes opening and closing super quick and efficient which is great for when you get to camp late. If your limited with space on your bike these are a game changer along with figuring out what can pack down in a regular stuff sack vs what should be compression bag My only gripe isn ’ t a big deal But the clips are a pain to flip around if they get twisted, it doesn ’ t effect the function AT ALL the bag still works as intended if the straps twisted it just bugs me and I have to use pliers to flip it around, again not a big deal just a minor thing
