I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

My orthotics fit in these perfectly. Without my orthotics the shoes rubbed against my ankle, but the inserts lifted my heel just enough so that was not an issue anymore. I have severe plantar fasciitis and have to switch shoes on the regular. These are part of my rotation and have been great. I like the traction, support and waterproof features. Merrill ’s Wrapt shoe is the best one I ’ ve found to counter- act the sciatic pull n the arches of my feet. I have high arches and the Wrapt arch support rises to meet my needs. [ Im on my third pair and these have been a great `` in between '' shoe. The stiffness and stability is right in the middle of a lightweight trainer and the other adidas hiking shoes. The goretex and big soft tread are great when walking the dog through deep and wet grass. And the weight is close enough to a trainer to still make them practical for travelling or other walking activities. Compared to other adidas running shoes they are a little more roomy for thicker socks but not enough to size down.

Dog walker
[ I used to be a loyal fan of New Balance 940s, and then they got discontinued. I bought a couple online before they all disappeared, and then I finally wore them all out. I could n't find any other shoe in New Balance, Asics, Brooks that had similar stability, arch support and cushioning. It was disconcerting. I had a total knee replacement a few years ago, so all these new foam sneakers that allow the back/heel of the shoe to rotate laterally are not good for me. I finally decided I had to come up with a new approach to finding a sneaker. I saw these sneakers and thought, hey! If this is for trail running, then it's got to be made with better stability. I gave it a shot and was so pleasantly surprised! These sneaks have good arch support and have cushion that seems resilient vs. the cheap foam in a lot of new sneakers that just compress. There is good stability to prevent your foot from rotating side to side in the heel. I walk my dog at a fast pace 2x per day every day for about 30 minutes each, so I put on miles pretty quickly. Seems to be holding up pretty well! The logo is a bit large for my taste, but that's just cosmetic. The only thing that's a little odd is the material, which seems like maybe it's less breathable in the toe box area vs. the average sneaker. However, I ca n't really tell because it's still cold out, so when it gets warmer I 'll have a better idea of that. Overall, pleasantly surprised and very happy to put them on my feet every day!

[ Well- made and comfortable with great cushioning. Easy to wear all day. True to size for me. Love everything about these shoes for various activities. I even wear them if im just going to be home. Great support, AMAZING traction, seem pretty tough and waterproof, good sturdy vs. lightweight ratio. But the tongues end in rough leather. There is a weird V cut in the center of the tongue where my shin sits; it rubs. Still great shoes, guess I will just wear thicker/higher socks

Am very happy with these shoes. I bought 1/2 size larger than normal because I have a bunion and because I frequently wear wool hiking sox. It was a good decision. Gives me just enough extra width not to be irritating. Adore the color.

Recently purchased these as a light hiker for dog walks on trails. I have a couple of foot issues that require a wider toe box and these delivered. I find them to be comfortable, roomy in the toe box but still snug around the heel to prevent slippage. They also fit my custom orthotics perfectly. I have yet to notice any negatives with these shoes.
