They are comfortable, fit well, and the orthotic lite seems to work well. I walk for an hour every morning and the shoes have provided enough support and cushion for me to wear them the day without any foot discomfort. I walk outdoors and have twice walked in the rain since purchasing them. The outsides of the shoes were wet, but the insides were dry and just the tips of my socks were damp. That is also a game changer! Excellent all around shoe. I could n't be happier!

They perform admirably on all sorts of challenging terrain, not just the beach, proving their versatility. My only, albeit significant, wish is that Merrell would release a Gore- Tex low version of the Wrapt. While the existing versions handle some dampness, the constant spray and occasional submersion on a rocky beach mean that truly waterproof, breathable protection would elevate these shoes to legendary status for coastal exploration. The mid- cut waterproof version exists, but a low- cut option with Gore- Tex would be the absolute perfect combination of comfort, grip, and weather protection. Despite this one desire, the Merrell Wrapt is a fantastic shoe that I highly recommend for anyone seeking exceptional comfort and reliable grip, especially if you spend time on uneven or rocky terrain. [ I was looking for a sneaker that was breathable and would dry quickly for my trip to Costa Rica. These were perfect! Waterproof shoes are n't great for climates like Costa Rica's because they make your feet hot. Instead, finding a shoe like the PFG Castback TC that could get dirty, be washed in the sink/shower, and then dry quickly, fit the bill. I normally wear a 7. 5 or 8 wide, the 7. 5 fit me perfectly and the shoe did n't feel tight. The only thing I 'd like to see change is Columbia remove the `` blood n' guts '' label on the shoe physically. I understand that's a rating they give the shoe for the fact that those things can be cleaned off easily when fishing, but it's a bit weird to have actually ON the shoe itself. I 'd love to see some darker color options for this shoe for women's fit!
