Got fit for this driver and bought it. Per the results of my fitting, I have the settings down to a 9. 5° loft(- 1° draw setting), and have the 12g weight in the heel and the 3g weight in the back of the club. During my very first round, my slice is nearly gone. My drives are flying much straighter. But the biggest improvement I saw was the misses are nowhere near as bad. Instead of huge slices, the Cobra Darkspeed Max minimizes those greatly to baby fades that miss just right of the fairway in the first cut if you do happen to miss right. Very happy with the results after just one round. I ’ m going to invest in the Cobra Darkspeed Fairway Woods& Hybrid as well.

I have played golf 3 times since buying this driver. My previous model was probably 9 years old and was a Cobra as well. I am stunned by how forgiving this driver is. I have not sliced badly yet! Also, when hitting off the heel or low still having very good results. The distance is superb as well. I am seeing much longer distances. Again, this is compared to a 9 year old driver, but I could not be more happy. Also, the price was outstanding.$ 299. I hit it great at the demo but not so much after:-) I saw this driver on sale because it was last years model and I have played Cobra before so I bought it after reading some reviews. This thing is amazing! I read reviews that said it was n't forgiving, boy are they wrong. I am a 21 handicap and I have had a few mishits and the ball still flies straight and long. I 've only had the driver for a couple of weeks and I 'm still dialing it in. I had been playing with a 11- year- old TaylorMade driver and thought it was time for an upgrade. There might be a little bit extra distance on the new driver, but it is hard to say because I have n't played with it enough to get everything set the way I would like. On my first trip to a driving range and prior to making adjustments to weights I had an unusual for me hook. Once I got the weights properly placed, I was able to get that straightened back out. Over the last tear and a half I have been switching drivers and shafts to find something that can keep my spin and launch in check but also deliver consistency. This is the first driver that has done that for me. I was playing the paradym triple diamond before this and while it kept spin low it would also have left hooks that died out of the air if i was even a fraction into the high toe side. This cobra driver if I catch it in the toe the spin still stays in the 1800- 2000 and holds the line reasonably well. This is definitely the best most forgiving low spin driver i have tried.

I am about a 15 handicap and was previously using a Titleist TS2 that I could never quite get used to. I rented the Qi10 Max a few different times while traveling and it just “ felt right ” as soon as I started to play with it. Now that the newer models are out, the Qi10 fell within my price range and I ’ m super happy with it after playing a few rounds. The reputation is well earned as it is super forgiving, as my mishits still get plenty of distance. I also feel like I get a better arc on the drives than with my previous driver. I own a G425 Max driver but traded in some other clubs to get the G430 Max 10k. It came with a Hzrdus 60g shaft, but I found that the 55g Alta CB from my G425 felt better and hit straighter. Feel and Distance are similar to the 425 but off center hits have a tighter dispersion with the 430 max10k. I do n't live near a fitter so it was fortunate that I had the other shaft. Fitting is very important especially with driver. This club wo n't be great for you if you are n't fit properly.

I ’ ve been gaming a TaylorMade Burner driver since 2009, and for the amount I play—maybe once a week—it always got the job done. It wasn ’ t the longest or most forgiving, but I stuck with it because I figured most of my issues came from my swing, not my equipment. That all changed after a recent swing analysis. I was trying to understand why I was missing fairways in both directions. The instructor broke it down pretty quickly: “ Your swing ’s come a long way, but your driver hasn ’ t. ” At first, I brushed it off. But a couple of months later, I figured it was finally time to upgrade. I checked out TaylorMade ’s site and the Qi35 caught my eye. Clean, modern look—had to try it. The stock setup felt decent, but I knew it needed to match my faster swing. I upgraded the shaft to a Mitsubishi Kai ’ li CB 60S, and man, what a difference. This thing is an absolute fairway finder. The forgiveness is real—even on off- center hits, I ’ m still getting solid carry and dispersion. The sound is muted but powerful, and the feel off the face is pure. With my old Burner, I was struggling to stay consistent off the tee. With the Qi35, I feel in total control—like I finally have a driver that fits me. This driver is fantastic. I have fought a fade/slice for over 55 years. Now at 72, with this driver, I do n't even have to think about going right. It's straight to a baby draw every time. Exactly as advertised. Like most high handicappers I have a right miss and far to often the slice OB. Taking penalties strokes out of the tee box is a killer as I 've made improvements in the rest of my game. Not to mention the embarrassment. This club has absolutely taken the curvature out of my drive. I still tend to miss right more often than not but it stays in play. A lot of that is set up/alignment for me as I used to have to play for my slice. When I do find the center of the face, it flies as far as any non draw bias club I 've owned. On top of the performance this club sounds amazing. A muted `` thwack '' is how I would describe it. Feel is great too. You can tell where on the club your hitting it but it feels buttery soft no matter what. It's also nice to know as I improve with driver( hopefully), I can slide the weight from Draw plus to Draw. Looking forward to a full season with this bad boy.

For the last 5 years I have been using a Cleveland Launcher( MFG date 2003?) and I hit it extremely well. I first set foot on a golf course in 1995 at Nevis and the fellow I was flying for rented me a set of Callaway's. Since then, I have wanted a custom set of Callaway clubs. Last year I bought a complete custom set of irons, pitching and sand wedges with a three wood. I 'm seventy and this year could only get 140 yards out of my thirty- year- old driver. The experience I had with the Callaway three wood made me think I may do better with a new driver, so I bought the Star for its light weight. I 'm now driving 170 yards but that is n't the best part. It is very easy to hit good drives with this club. I 'm not topping balls or making other miss hits like I used to with the old driver and that alone removes strokes and adds yards to my game. I have played with the new driver twice and last time out I broke 100 for the first time. I enjoy my Callaway clubs very much and the Star driver has changed my world. Tried a bunch of different drivers a couple months ago and I hit the TSR4 the best by far which was surprising because it ’s supposed to be the least forgiving of the Titleist drivers. It ’s been longer and more accurate than my TSI2. On average it ’s about 15 yards longer due to lower spin and my longest drives are about 25- 30 yards farther than my longest drives with the TSI2.

I played the G430 Max for about a year or more and switched to the G430 SFT. I found it more forgiving. I turned around and bought the 440 Max because it had a draw setting not present in the G430 Max. I returned it after a couple of weeks and exchanged it for the G 440 SFT. I have been extremely pleased. Although I play a draw and do n't slice too often, I still like to eliminate the potential. I do n't necessarily need to or want to `` work '' the ball and if I know my drives are going to go straight, slight draw or at worse weak fade, that works for me. The G 430 Max and G 440 Max definitely allowed the occasional slice.

For years I ’ ve always wanted to play a Ping Driver but I always struggled with them for some reason. Mainly I really struggled to turn the ball over and hit a draw no matter how I adjusted the weight or loft. I had a very pronounced miss to the right which is not my typical miss. Also, I never liked the sound and feel of Ping drivers and they lacked distance when compared to other drivers because of the weight of the head despite a counter balanced shaft. On a whim I decided to hit a demo at my local golf store and I was really shocked. Excellent forgiveness, a very straight ball flight even when I didn ’ t put my best swing on it and improved distance. What was even more surprising was a big improvement in sound and feel. Be sure to get the right shaft as well. The Denali Red fit me absolutely perfectly( which could explain my great experience with this driver). Nonetheless the G440 Max is just plain great.

On the 11th tee I drove the ball 20 yards further than I ever had before. I 've been playing this same course on and off for 30 years. But a couple of months later, I figured it was finally time to upgrade. I checked out TaylorMade ’s site and the Qi35 caught my eye. Clean, modern look—had to try it. The stock setup felt decent, but I knew it needed to match my faster swing. I upgraded the shaft to a Mitsubishi Kai ’ li CB 60S, and man, what a difference. This thing is an absolute fairway finder. The forgiveness is real—even on off- center hits, I ’ m still getting solid carry and dispersion. The sound is muted but powerful, and the feel off the face is pure. With my old Burner, I was struggling to stay consistent off the tee. With the Qi35, I feel in total control—like I finally have a driver that fits me. I ’ ve only played one round with it so far, but the improvement was immediate. My confidence off the tee is at an all- time high. TaylorMade nailed it with this one.
