purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

I ’ m slow and been running for about a year. 175lbs. About 9: 50 min marathon pace. I didn ’ t want a carbon plate shoe, and decided on the SB2 for my marathon shoe. I have now worn for most of my runs. Long, tempo, recovery, threshold, and even intervals- and race shoes for my marathon. I think they ’ re awesome at all of those, except, maybe not best for intervals- though they definitely worked- just maybe not best suited for that. No hotspots or slippage or issues, comfort was awesome- and the rocker is great! Super comfortable and I know they helped me reach my marathon goal with way more comfort that what I had done the majority of my training block runs in.( Puma Deviate Nitro 2). Towards the end of my block my training shoes were wearing down and I bought the SB2 ’s as my race day event shoe. I ’ m now at 100mi and they ’ re awesome. They are very big shoes. I am a size 10, and the size of these seemed like they had a bit more room than I was used to and a longer design than what I was training in( Puma DN2 mentioned above). I even ordered/tried on a 9. 5 but those felt a little too snug. So I kept with the 10. I think they ’ re just a bigger shoe by design. But even with being large they feel so light and help me stay comfortable at my higher paces. Support and comfort has been excellent! Definitely was a step up in comfort after training in my DN2 ’s for the block.

I can ’ t really say anything negative about these shoes. I was struggling with my old pair with knee and hip pain as I ’ m very flat footed. I did the online shoe finder and was recommended these, so did my own research on them online and decided to go for it. I ’ ve done 6 runs in them now and definitely feel like I ’ ve made the right choice, I no longer have the knee or hip like I was having in my old trainers and they feel good underfoot. From what I 've been told, it is recommended that you take a stroll in new running shoes to warm them up and stretch them out a bit. However, I took these shoes on a run fresh out of the box and it felt great. This is not normal for me by the way. I 'm a flat- footed monster with wide feet and if the shoe does n't fit while I 'm running, it can get extremely painful. The Pegasus always seem to deliver for me. I have been exclusively wearing these invincible running shoes ever since this model was released years ago. I especially appreciate the fit and cushioning. Invincible run 3 ’s fit me like a glove, allowing me to wear them for hours on end without issue or discomfort. I was very disappointed to learn that the invincible runs were being discontinued. One of my favorite so far. Ranks up there with the Asics Novablast but maybe a little bouncier which is a good thing to me. I used to always run in Pegasus, but then I was having problems with the heal counters messing with my achiles. The Invincible puts no stress at all on my Achilles, and is still a pretty fast shoe for a mid- striker like me. Even with the high level of cushioning, it feels stable and is n't as sloppy as the Asics Nimbus was for me. For reference, I have a high- arch foot that is probably on the narrow side, weigh 185 and 6' 1. I 've always worn a size 12 Nike and do with these as well. When I 'm running slowly I 'm a heel striker which feels very good in these, but when I pick up speed I 'm more of a mid- striker which also feels good but not quite the same level of bounciness. I usually use them for 3 to 6 mile runs.

From what I 've been told, it is recommended that you take a stroll in new running shoes to warm them up and stretch them out a bit. However, I took these shoes on a run fresh out of the box and it felt great. This is not normal for me by the way. I 'm a flat- footed monster with wide feet and if the shoe does n't fit while I 'm running, it can get extremely painful. The Pegasus always seem to deliver for me. Neutral running shoes work the best for my flat feet and I 'm so happy with my purchase. I look forward to using this bad boy as my daily. I 'm 5' 1 '', and wear a 6. 5 in womens running shoes. Size up half a size for wide footed monsters.

I ran my first marathon in these shoes no issues. I use to get bad knee pain in my trainings when I hit high mileage but then I got these and no more knee pain. I even tried carbon fiber plate shoes and prefer these, they are cushioned and have a bouncy effect! Way better than hoka but haven ’ t tried other brands. I put about 80 miles on these shoes before I ran my marathon.

I 've always loved Nike for my running shoes, and the last few years I 've been using versions of Nike Pegasus, but the Vomero had such rave reviews and I wanted to try more cushioning for my old joints. Did not realize what a difference it would make. So comfortable. A half- size up from my normal worked perfect for me. I 'll definitely be getting a backup pair if/when they go on sale.( Side note, if these had n't worked I would have still been happy with the current Pegasus 41, I tried the Pegasus Plus and did n't care for the feel/fit.)
