I bought these shoes at a local running store and I am in love with them! I never thought I could love a tennis shoe more. I bought them specifically for my job. I am a graphic designer most of the time but there are a few times a year that I am a photographer for my work and one is for a week at a time. It ’s about 4 hours of constant walking, bending, crouching and stretching which is not the norm for me. Last year I developed pain in my lower back that I had for many weeks after the event week was done and the event was a struggle to do well. I knew I couldn ’ t do that to myself this year and I know it ’s because of my shoe choice. I was afraid of the sizing because someone told me the 22 ’s are more narrow in the regular fit than the 21 ’s. I like the stealthfit so when these came out I thought I ’ d give them a try. These actually feel roomier and have more bounce than the 21 ’s. I usually try to get the gts but those aren ’ t out yet, but these feel as stable as my 21gts. The colors are fun too. The cushy craze is not normally my thing because I feel like I 'm falling off of the sides, but I love my Escalantes so much I thought I 'd give it a try. Glad I did! These are great- highly cushioned but stable. I would use these on moderate trails but nothing too technical. My only complaint would be the padded tongue- it's hot! The shoe fits wider than typical Nikes.

Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!
