Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

[ The Vomero 18 ’s are a GREAT running shoe. These bad boys have carried me through about 120 running miles over the span of 8 weeks and countless errands around town. I have a predominantly neutral gait, a wide foot, and a high- arch. These shoes felt bouncy both during my runs and walking around town on asphalt and concrete floors. The toe box was plenty wide without having to purchase a wide width and my foot always felt secured in the shoe with no heel slippage. I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

All have worn well unless I try to take them off without undoing the laces, or scrape them on concrete. I wear mine daily. I have narrow feet with exceptionally high arches. I purchased these online for an upcoming trip to Japan and was shocked to discover that they are Mount Fuji themed! That might have been enough to sway me, but they were also extremely comfortable, very stable for my ankle issues, and they sat a little lower on the ankle than some other styles, which helped because I have a painful spot that needs surgery. The colors are fun as well, but most of all I expect them to be very comfortable for walking around all over Japan! The style I ordered is the white one that has speckles along the outsole. I am normally a women ’s size 9 and purchased the 9 1/2, and it fits perfectly.

Due to the material that it ’s made out of, when you put the shoe on you have to stretch that area, and I have a fear that it could start to pull apart over time and they may not hold up as long like my other tennis shoes.

I absolutely love these shoes! I ’ m prone to getting blisters but that isn ’ t a problem any more with these shoes. They are super lightweight, comfy, cushioned but still give you that bounce from the carbon plate. I feel like my runs are lighter and faster. I font feel any shock when I hit the ground so it feels like walking/running on clouds. I can not recommend these shoes enough! I plan on using these for race day. They are so comfy for longer runs and faster speed runs.

This is my first purchase of On shoes-- I generally buy cheaper shoes but then have to use inserts after about a month to maintain comfort. These were more pricy than I usually buy, but they were on sale, and so far I have zero regrets.- They are very comfortable. I do n't even notice them.- They are lighter colored and I am clumsy; I expected them to be stained within a couple days. I have been pleased to find that dirt/grime/spills wipe off of them easily.- I can be on my feet all day and my feet are n't tired To be honest, the only `` complaint '' I have so far is that the laces do n't stay tied all the time. Sometimes I have to retie them. I can live with that. Also( and this has nothing to do with the shoes) this is the first time I 've ever ordered from Dick 's and they made the ordering and delivery process a pleasure. These shoes were exactly what I was hoping for. I 'm a city girl who loves to hike, I wanted shoes that could go seamlessly from a rugged trail to a cute brewery. They are firm and stable like my hiking boots, but cute enough that I can wear them as normal sneakers if I need to. I love the versatility. I do wish I sized up though. I usually size up a half size with hiking boots since I wear wool socks with those. I did n't think to do that with these so I have to wear thin socks which is n't my favorite while hiking. I had already worn them a few times before realizing this error sadly.
