[ When the weather changed for our Portugal trip I needed a rain jacket fast! This jacket exceeded my expectations. It POURED rain on us and i stayed completely dry! The hood and extended visor prevented all rain from getting to my face and hair. I have waist length, super curly, thick hair and this hood kept it all in and dry! the length was perfect and prevented my lower body from getting wet. I sized up from a XL to a 2XL as I wanted room to layer and wear sweaters or sweatshirts underneath. The deep pockets were perfect for extra travel items! I got a whole water bottle inside one! I was wearing this jacket when I had a horse riding accident. When I tell you I absolutely flew off the horse and slammed into the gravel- this jacket should have ripped immediately. Instead it actually ended up protecting my body from getting any cuts. I threw the jacket in the wash and it came out seamless as if nothing had happened to it. This is one of the more convenient running items I have ever purchased and I love it. I also like the fit, as it sits right on the waist area. I usually prefer for these to go slightly below the waist, but this one is nice as is. If you are running and get too warm the ability to change it to a vest is so convenient. This will allow you to not have to drop the piece off at some random location during a race to have to come back and find, hopefully no one has taken it.

[ I wanted a hooded down jacket that would pack into one of its own pockets. I purchased this one as the description fit what I was looking for. I purchased the `` plum '' color which in the photos looked like a very light purple color. I am 5' 6 '' and 180 lbs and apple shaped. I ordered the XL. It is a bit long in the arms, but fits around my belly with a little extra room even when wearing a sweatshirt. The color was not as depicted in the photo, it was much more of what I would expect from `` plum. '' It is also not easy to pack. It took me quite a while to get the whole jacket shoved into the pocket. I included a photo of it packed on top of a sheet of printer paper for size reference. I do plan on keeping the jacket because I actually like the color and it's super warm.
