I used it multiple times for racing and swimming in the pool with Aqua Sphere goggles and for diving/snokeling in the Ocean in the Big Island and Kauai, Hawaii and it stays on like glue and does not interfere with my goggles or mask seal. You can even push it down closer to eyes and it stays firm. Even diving through violent Ocean waves it stayed on-- up to two hours in the water-- no problem. I have a smaller head, and even adult size small can be too big for me. This children's size large sun hat is great. It is light weight, quality fabric, adjustable, and I like that it has a string so if it gets windy it stays on. The brim covers enough to keep the sun off. I live in Florida. I love these hats but you should strongly consider making the adult size S/M a flat out Medium and makeing the youth large witch starts at 6 inches and ends at 6 7/8 a small. I 'm infuriated by the laziness of this. I and many others with small heads would like to have more to choose from like the adult selections. This is flat out discrimination against those of us with smaller skulls. We like hat's too. Like I ssid in my previous review, if they would have had the PHG in youth sizes and frankly all the different colors and designs, I would have spent$ 1, 000 on hat's the day I purchased 12 hats because there are only 7 youth colors and I was n't really feeling the electric pink, but I got two of each. These are really great hats, I love them and I wish Columbia would take a look in either making more styles in youth hats or get rid of the S/M size and make it a Medium and the large youth hat a Small. Because every man with a tiny peahead such as my self are very tired of being discriminated against. I like Columbia clothes/gear. It's mostly what I wear and I almost got rid of all my Columbia stuff, all the pants, shirts, fleeces and coats but the youth hats saved the day.

This is a great hat for any who spend a lot of time in the sun. So much cooler than most ball cap style hats. Much better air flow and space for your head to breath. It might have been nice if the strings were removable, in case you did n't want to wear them all the time, but I can just tuck them up inside the hat. With the cinch cord on the back, it stays on your head pretty well even without using the strings below your chin.

This is my second of these hats, I wear them every time I run. They are very well built and very breathable. Extremely durable with a comfortable fit, good wicking material( sweat pushed to brim and doesn ’ t drip down your face, I am an extremely sweaty person), and very good sun coverage. Bill works well with most sunglasses( I have large blocky costa Del Mar ’s that fit well under the brim). Only issue I have with it is the tab in the back can be hard to get out of the way due to the difficulty of feeding it back into the hat.

I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it ’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you ’ re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

I pair this visor with earmuffs when I wear my parka with the hood up. I wanted to shade my face and eyes from the sun. I needed a visor that did n't wrap half way around my head and was flexible enough to let my parka hood come around my face. This visor is perfect for that. I have been looking for the perfect visor for several years after my favorite was discontinued. Most of the ones with wider brims were just too big and made me look silly. I have a very small face. And you take off in the wind like the flying nun. These visors are the perfect length for keeping the sun out of your eyes. I love the lightness; however, I ’ m not sure how they will fair in strong winds. I also wish they had more colors to choose from. I like the light gray, however, it didn ’ t allow me to tighten it enough; The light purple was easier to tighten to my needs. Another way visor would be even better is to have a terrycloth lining on the inside of the headband.

I bought this hat to replace a standard cap i was wearing with my raincoat to keep rain out of my face and it works like a dream! The old cap would start leaking and inevitably stop serving a purpose. But not this one! I have worn it on a couple hikes too! I use this for trail running in freezing temperatures, for yard work when it's pouring and also for travelling. It's windproof, lightweight, I like the blue color, so what's not to like?
