I sized down in these based on reviews. I usually wear a MD pant with Free Fly, but I am glad I sized down. They are `` fitted '' by sizing down, but no uncomfortably. Does not pull with sitting and I can tell they are already relaxing with wear, so I am happy I did size down. I think a MD would end up looking a bit looser than I would like with thise style of pant. I love the Canyon Clay color and the cotton is so soft and comfortable. Another great product from Free Fly!

What I love:( 1) the pockets are amazing- all women's bottoms should have such great, deep pockets, with a mix of zipped and buttons! LOVE that! These shorts are comfortable for a while, but the lack of elastic in the waist means I start feeling the waist/button dig in after a few hours, or during different positions/activities. I wore these on a long day of walking all day in 95+ degree weather and they were so comfortable! I loved that I could unzip them a bit at the bottom of leg for airflow. [ Hiking in my neighboring Rocky Mountains means lots of interactions with scratchy, rippy surfaces. These Nikka Curved provide terrific reinforcement in the right areas. The tough fabric is surrounded by breathable stretchy fabric. These pants ARE on the warm side, though; I 'd consider them three- seasoners( a bit much for hot days).

[ These are literally the only non- wide leg outdoor pants that have ever fit my thighs and hips without falling down or gaping at the waist. I love them so much. They are so durable. I love that the fabric is weather resistant, quick drying, and ventilated. I love Fjällräven ’s warranty. They aren ’ t quite as high rise on the back as I would like, but otherwise these are amazing and comfortable and I would happily grab a drink or dinner in the( admittedly very casual) PNW urban area after. These are not my first pair and will not be my last, but that ’s because I love them so much. The first ones from a few years ago are still holding up despite multiple slides on scree, grazes with my crampons, and other issues that lesser pants could never dream to be able to handle. They are long, but the edges are raw so you can hem them yourself. I have adenomyosis and endometriosis and so sometimes I get that pregnant- looking belly, and then they do feel tight, but that ’s true of almost everything. Normal bloating doesn ’ t make them uncomfortable. For me, I would say they run larger than almost all trousers but smaller than the Fjällräven Abisko trekking and trail tights.

But what I love about them is that the fully separating zippers allow me to don and doff them without the need to tak my boots off and on. [ I wanted to get another pair of the “ Holly Pants ”, which I love and have had for many years, however Marmot has discontinued them. The “ Arche Rock Pants ”, according to a very helpful person in Consumer Service, are the closest match. I like the pants but I ’ d prefer a light soft lining which the Holly pants have and a softer outside material which probably is less water resistant. The Arche Rock pants have a thin material with no lining and they rustle when I walk. Maybe some of the stiffness will decrease over time. The navy color and the fit are fine but the length a bit short I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ” 135lbs and size 8.

I skidded on my side about 8 feet after crashing a dirtbike going way faster than I had any right to, and the pants look new. WHERE ARE THE NEW COLORS?!?! These are the most absolutely amazing pants on the market and I 'm getting nervous that there are no new fun colors this season. It's true that this fabric does pill little bit but hear me out- they 're still totally worth it! I work exclusively outside for my fulltime job, hiking 5 miles per day on average and I genuinely wear these pants 4 days a week at minimum. I 've had the same pairs of Ferrosi's for over 5 years and though pilled, they 've lasted perfectly and show no other signs of wear. They are crazy lightweight and breathable but also water resistant. They keep me cool in 100+ degree weather and also do great over a baselayer in the winter. They are stretchy enough but also hold their shape. OR, you better warn us if these ever get discontinued so I can buy 10 more pairs.

The most comfortable waistband. It has some type of very soft liner in the waistband that is a treat. Yes, these are a little higher- waisted then my other outdoor joggers, but it works because you can easily and comfortably, roll down the waistband without bulk. Material is so, so comfy( and no swish/swish when walking, etc). I 'm a 27/4 pants in Women's and probably could 've sized down to an XS). Length great at 5' 4 but the design is such that I can comfortably roll- up the bottom once and they still look 'cute' and are functional.

Finally, the absolute perfect pair of pants!! I am so excited! I have long been obsessed with the Ferrosi fabric, and joggers are my favorite style of pants. They are legitimately the most comfortable and functional pants I 've ever owned and I hope they make so many more colors. I fluctuate between the 16 and 16W sizes in the regular Ferrosi pants, and the XL in the joggers fit me perfectly. I could also probably wear the XXL but they 'd be significantly looser than the model in the pic and I like them a little form fitting. I would say to size down if you 're in between sizes unless you want them baggy. The drawstring waist is so comfy and non- restrictive, and the cuffs hit right at the ankle of my 5'10 '' frame. They are the perfect amount of stretchy but hold their shape, they 're super breathable and water resistant, and honestly more comfortable than most of my pajama pants! Way to go OR!

I love the way these pants feel and look. I recently bike commuted in them in the rain and unexpectedly they did great shedding water, they barely got wet at all. I love the stretchy waistband and overall fit. Being a little taller, they bottoms are a few inches above my ankles but that's fine if you 're looking for that. I would love an identical option that extended another 6 '' or so and in a few more fun colors. I 'm about 5' 7 '' and 133# and a size S was just right to avoid a baggy look that still moved well. I always seem to fall somewhere between an OR size S and M for bottoms, though.

I recently took a skid on a downhill abrasive, pebbly hike and thought `` this is end of these pants ''. I was wrong- they were n't at all damaged and the rock dust just brushed off. I would love to see some more colors in muted tones- gray, drab olive green, etc. The khaki color goes with most color tops, but the green is an evergreen color that does n't go with most of my wardrobe, just the black and white tops. These are great hiking and every day tights! Based on another review, I thought they 'd be softer. But make no mistake, these are technical feeling tights... like running tight material.
