My foot size is 8. 5 regular. The boot size is the same but it feels `` spacious ''. Not too long or short or even wide but ample- enough to accommodate a thick sock. My advice would be that if your foot is low volume or on the small side of the size like mine, order down, if your foot is high volume, order your size, and if your foot is on the high side, order up. A size 8 might have been perfect for me but might not have been roomy enough for thick socks. It's a trade off. The boot leather is super thick but the boots were comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. So far they 're holding up well. The steel toe has not been a problem in the winter cold or summer heat. It is not a factor except when a chunk of wood slips out of my tired hands. I had to learn the need of a steel toe the hard way. I only wish Timberland attached a pull loop to the heel. They put one on their loafers but not on a 6 '' boot. Unusual. A loop would help with the on/off process. What would also help would be lace hooks in place off the top two lace holes. With lace holes the laces have to be pulled down and out to loosen them to widen the boot for removal. You ca n't just kick these boots off. Neither of the above nit picks is a deal breaker. I love these waffle stompers.

I work outside, and finding comfortable shorts that are n't too short is definitely tricky. I would suggest sizing down, based on the size chart I needed a 2X, but I tried on the XL in store and they have PLENTY of room. TBH I read all the reviews and the ones complaining about heavy use, you ’ re probably overweight and overworked. If you ’ re in a bullue collar field you ’ re most likely making bank so stop complaining and it ’s your feet change the shoes every six months. I ’ ve had mine for about 2 years now and it ’s worked fabulously. Lightweight, durable and everything is functional. I bought these boots 2. 5 years ago and just bought a new pair. I really didn ’ t need to because they still hold up. I didn ’ t perform any care for these boots and they ’ ve held up amazing. I wore a hole in the toe crease point and the leather began separating from the toe about a month ago. I ’ ve worn them through my metal fabrication jobs a short term at UPS( immense amount of walking) and even plumbing putting a lot of wear and tear on the toes of these but they still held up. Metguards added in the past 3 months. I ’ ve been drenched while plumbing and in the rain. I ’ ve worked in these while dealing with more than 3 feet of snow through the cold seasons. I personally stay away from the models that have zippers I ’ ve never had a good experience with zippers. Worked most weeks as 7/10s or 6/10s and still wore them casually. I couldn ’ t recommend them more.

I have to start off and say I really appreciate the quality that goes into these bibs, there have been numerous improvements and upgrades to the older design. They have a relief cut into the pocket to hang a tape measure on either side. The front of the bib pockets are much more usable now, especially with the large zip pocket. Also the double cuff at the base of each leg is very nice. I 'm happy with my new overalls. Money well spent!

I bought two, one for myself 70 ''( 175 lb.) and another for my son who about 75 ''( 225 lb). They were L and XL. they have been great in some windy, cold( mid 30's) with light precipitation. I prefer loose clothing and he is happy with the fit for himself. He is in out of the weather in his job and say the fit and performance has been great. Must say so far so good. Have had them less than a month but break in period was short and boots have been a comfortable addition to workday. On my feet a lot and was concerned I would not have same comfort as previous boots( had for over 12 years). A little early to comment on durability but have faith in the Carhart name. This is my third pair of Carhart's 6 '' Soft Toe Work Boot. I love them. They are tough, long lasting and comfortable. I use them for my everyday foot wear except dress occassions. I even take my daily four mile walk in them. I hike in them and hunt in them. For me, they are the best boot I have every owned in terms of quality. When properly maintained, they are water repellent. This would n't have been my third pair if I was n't completely sold on this Carhart product.

These are the most comfortable work boots I 've ever had. I 've been wearing Timberland Pro's for the last 8 years but decided it was time for a change because there is n't enough protection from corn formation. With these I do n't feel rubbing on the top of my feet. The cushioned wedge makes it easier to be on my feet for 8- 12 hour long days. The strings are light weight and do not dangle ridiculously long they 're perfect. The only thing I would love for them to add is a cushion barrier on the inside of the boot that wraps along the ankle. I 'm glad a made the switch to Carhartt for working boots and use Timberland for what they 're known best for, just fashion. Thank you from a proud hardworking Detroiter.

I 'm on year three of having these work boots. I work in Bering Sea Alaska area. They are very comfortable and waterproof.- 25 Fahrenheit was about the coldest that I wore the boots in, they start to be a little cold at that point, but its rarely that cold here anyway. I walked on ice alot and felt like the traction was better than most my peers on the same surface.

I had a great experience with this boot. Switched from a different boot manufacturer which lasted about 1 year and tried these out for the first time. Very sturdy for me, lasted over a year and a half with no issues. I finally had to call it because the laces were starting to fray around the speed hooks but still good amount of tread left. Not the best in terms of non- skid but very comfortable. Going to try a second pair since the newest brand boots I was testing failed within the first 4 months of light use.

I just purchased these sneakers and I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these shoes are. I have never had any safety toe shoe or boot be this comfortable. I also like the fact that you can slip them on and off without having to tie and untie them every time, which is super convenient for the application for where I am wearing them. When I first got them out of the box they felt heavy but when they are on your feet they are not heavy at all but like wearing regular sneakers with the benefit of the safety toe. I am more than pleased with the purchase of these shoes and I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring a safety toe shoe in their work application especially if you do a lot of walking and comfort is something you are also looking for.

Great fit, easy on and off but stays put while moving around, these are definitely stretch fit, the laces seem to be decorative in my opinion. Materials seem durable so far, I especially appreciate the extra protection around the `` accidentally kicked a pallet corner '' area. The soles feel like I 'm standing on a fatigue mat even when I 'm not. If I had to complain the outer side of the arch support is very high which has been painful for the first hundred hours or so of wear but it's getting better as it collapses. Overall a much lighter and comfortable alternative to the traditional steel toed work boot.

Carhartt got rid of these for quite some time and I was forced to go to another company to replace my work boots which sucked, happy to see these are back up. I have already bought these 4- 5 times, union outdoor electrician with very few options as a woman in the field. These have a great fit for me, comfortable and no need to break in before wearing all day, no tight toe box. I wish they made this boot with some insulation for winter but these are my preferred boot of companies I 've tried. Please Carhartt, do n't take these brown work boots away again!!

I bought these boots in 2021 and 2 years later they are still in good shape. I wear these for work, hiking, and just out and about and they are comfortable and lightweight for safety boots. They need to be broken in for at least several days in the beginning and any time you go a few weeks without wearing them. The only noticeable wear is the sides have weakened out a little and fold slightly and the rubber traction on the bottom is wearing out after lots of time on gravel roads and rough terrain. One downside is they are not waterproof do have water seep in if you are hosing them down or stepping through deep enough water, so I wear different boots for that. The photos are what they look like after 2 YEARS of constant wear and tear on a construction site.

I have had these boots for 5 years. Humping through the snowy mountains of Vermont on the job. Taking them off and on tens of thousands of times in customers homes. They have gone under many houses, crawlspaces, and under porches. In knee walls and trenches. Put away so wet that my socks were soaked the next morning( step in knee high snow and any boot is gon na get wet). I 've only had to change the laces on one boot. All I ask is that my boots hold up to the abuse I put them through. I wore them untied during the summer even, and the backside of the inner heel has just started to wear through. Only on one side again! They are waterproof, durable, comfortable and dang if they do n't look good. I have n't even looked to buy a new boot since I got these and thank goodness I had n't rubbed off the tag yet. I hope they 're just as good 5 years later. I 've only been wearing them for about a month, but they are a perfect fit and are so far very comfortable. They do n't get cold like steel toes, but I still feel like my toes are protected. I work on a grounds and landscaping crew, so I walk and climb a lot. My feet still feel great at the end of the day.

[ My favorite boots so far that I own. I find that these boots are super comfortable, warm, do not make my feet overheat, waterproof, and decent grip. Little heavy but good. The toe needs better construction, because it has pulled apart from the sole. Needs a better cushion like the wedge boots have.

Product arrived today. Seems to fit true to size. Looks nice, feels comfortable to walk around in, and is nicely padded for foot support. Reflective strips on midsole and lace holders add an extra safety element. The composite toe is roomy and much lighter than a steel toe. Appears to be well constructed.

Hello I bought this boots about 4 days ago and I work about 10 hours a day doing carpenting. My job is quite a workout going up stairs and down climbing walls and having my feet on all different angles. About the boot is good quality and good looking too and light weight the carbon max replacing the steel toe is good too but and u have plenty of room for the toe area my feet does n't get tired or fatigue the bad is the carbon max hurts me a lil bit but over all good boot.

I give these boots at 10/10. Very little break in needed, comfortable right out of the box. The leather is rugged and looks good as new with a quick wipe down or brushing. These are great in the garden, yard, or on a hike. I am very pleased. They look great with my Carhartt pants and shirts.

Worth the money, for me they lasted little over than a year but I work 12 hour shifts between 40- 60 hrs a week in a recycling plant in AZ and we are exposed to kinda harsh conditions daily( dry/dusty areas and wet areas with puddles too), not too mention the +100 degree summer temps we get so they worked fine for me. I tried different good/expensive brands of work boots and most of them last me around the same time because of my work conditions and demand so I decide to get carhartt by choice I like the brand and styles.

I buy new work boots every 6- 7 months. My last 4- 5 pairs were$ 200 Wolverine and I liked them all. It's my 2nd day in the Carhartt and they 're already MUCH more comfortable than Wolverine! Oh, and the Alloy toe is amazing compared to steel toe!!
