I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it ’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you ’ re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. I ’ m just happy I still had tag on old hat to find company to buy this new one. The old one I will still wear around house doing yard work. Needless to say after buying several different hats this if my favorite one for spring, summer, and fall. Thank you for this wonderful design that stands up to my abuse and keeps looking great.

It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you do n't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i 'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i 'd actually write a review.

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Since it doesn ’ t fold up, I put this terrific sun hat at the bottom of my suitcase, underneath the rest of my clothes. My husband also has this hat, and I got the same size, a large. So, that is a consideration when ordering. It really protects from the sun and isn ’ t too hot to wear in the heat.

Can ’ t wait to wear this on vacation. When they say large, they meant large- as is slightly too large for my normally large head. [ I love this headband. This is the fourth one I have purchase. The first one I purchase was around 2012. It is fraying, and after receiving the new one, I realized how flat it was, but it held up well for a decade. I bought a second one around 2016. I bought it because one was not enough for colder weather. That might sound like a negative, but I like layering these. They are flat, and I always keep them in the breast pocket of my jacket. When I need one, I wear it. When I need more warmth, I add another. It's layering for your head. I think they are remarkably warm for as thin as they are. For years I rode my bicycle to work, and I did n't stop during the cold months. The great thing about these headbands is I can adjust my helmet a little bigger and wear one or two of these underneath. The third one I bought recently will replace the one I have had since 2010. The fourth one I just purchased is for me wife. It 'll will be her first one, but she really likes mine, so I bought her one. Even though it is wool, it is not itchy. This is a great headband, and I highly recommend it.

I bought the blue bucket hat for a Florida kayaking trip and it was great! The cord that holds it on was totally necessary because we had wind gusts and other people's hats were blowing off. I did let my granddaughter borrow mine for awhile.

[ This is a really nice hat. Bright retro colors and retro style. Very comfortable, and does a good job keeping the sun off my head. It might have been nice if the strings were removable, in case you did n't want to wear them all the time, but I can just tuck them up inside the hat. With the cinch cord on the back, it stays on your head pretty well even without using the strings below your chin.

This is the best hat I have ever found for hiking in Wyoming. The brim is large and the hat is light and cool. The neck shade is excellent for sun protection in high altitude.

Pros: the wicking sweatband works great, super lightweight, doesn ’ t add unnecessary heat, works great to block the sun, packs easily and small Cons: strap isn ’ t removable and with a tight fitting crown you can ’ t really tuck it inside, the sun flap is noisy in the wind so maybe a heavy strip of fabric down the middle to solve that?

I think this is a fantastic hat. I have tried many others over the years and this sun hat is the best yet. It gives excellent coverage, it is very lightweight and easily packable. It is adjustable which really helps for correct fit. I really like the strap to keep it from blowing off on windy days. I highly recommend this hat.

I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well. I hope that Sunday Afternoons keeps selling these hats forever.

Sunday Afternoons hats are high quality and this one fits right in. Love the color! I have a big head and the L/XL has room to spare. I am able to cinch it down to just the right size. Ponytail holder could be slightly bigger so I can get my fingers in to pull my hair through, but works. I will admit that I feel slightly dorky in this hat, but that is about me, not the hat. I have to keep the sun off( high risk of skin cancer) and this hat is much more effective than sunscreen( and much less greasy!). Appreciate the chin strap too for windy days.

I am normally not a Hat Person, but this one is terrific! I ordered the size medium in the color opal, which is a a light off- white. It's very flattering in every way-- size, fit, color. It shades my face without blocking my view. The fabric itself is lightweight= cool, not flimsy. So... can I give you 6 stars on this one?

Very pretty hat but not sure the top part of the hat is SPF 50 although the brim is. Top part fabric very sheer.
