I wore these on a long day of walking all day in 95+ degree weather and they were so comfortable! I loved that I could unzip them a bit at the bottom of leg for airflow. They are so lightweight and soft. They 're great for travel too, worked well for a long day at the airport. Be aware that you will make some noise in these, that swish swish sound. [ I wanted to get another pair of the “ Holly Pants ”, which I love and have had for many years, however Marmot has discontinued them. The “ Arche Rock Pants ”, according to a very helpful person in Consumer Service, are the closest match. I like the pants but I ’ d prefer a light soft lining which the Holly pants have and a softer outside material which probably is less water resistant. The Arche Rock pants have a thin material with no lining and they rustle when I walk. Maybe some of the stiffness will decrease over time. I loved the fit right off the hop so I bought two pairs. I 've been rocking these for 8 months now and they show no signs of wear. Solid construction that you can trust in the bush. Bear spray fits perfectly in the front thigh pocket. I bought size 38. I am 5' 5 '', fluctuate between 134- 137lb. 28- 29 '' waist, 38 '' hips. On my skinnier feeling days they are loose, and on my cycle or if I 've just been on indulgent vacation they feel amazing still! I wanted to love the keb trousers but I couldn ’ t get over a few flaws. The thicker material is not ideal for summer conditions and the reinforced butt gave me a uni- butt. I recently bought the keb agile trousers and they are perfect. The pants are thinner, still durable, and have quite a bit of stretch! Overall I think these new trousers are the perfect edition to my hiking wardrobe.

This is my first Fjallraven pair of trousers. I 've previously bought from other outdoor brands. Pros: Material seems high quality and very breathable even with long johns underneath. It feels durable and the stitching is immaculate. It has a lot of ventilation pockets and deep storage pockets. Deep pocket placement is great so items wo n't poke you while walking or squatting/sitting. The ankles are slightly flared so thick socks and boots can fit comfortably. They also have buttons so you can do a tighter fit. It is comfortably high waisted and makes movement smooth/easy. I have a curvy figure and the fit is very flattering. No crotch seam. Cons: there are questionable too many seams, which squeeze on you when squatting or bending the knee, but the pants may be flexible because of the seams. It is not a stretchy material so your size is very important. It hugs your waist, so it is not easy to put the pants on as a curvy person. Once it's on, it feels like a second skin though. It does run small. I was hoping a large would let me wear a base layer, but it just barely fits. With the amount of seams, a base layer will probably protect your skin from seams digging in. Will update once I take it out for a few weeks.

[ Very useful for those days when the temps will swing a lot. Maybe you are starting activities early in the morning when it's cold but will be out as it gets hot and want to remove the legs of your pants to have shorts instead. Or perhaps you are hiking and going up a mountain and know it will get much colder as you proceed, and will want to change from shorts to pants. These are comfy for any such activities. My only complaint is that I think these run a bit small. I wear a medium in most pants and shorts( including shorts from Marmot), but these are pretty tight on my curvier butt and legs.

I love these pants for hiking and backpacking. The material breathes well, dries quickly and is cool in hot weather but warm enough when actively hiking into the upper 40s even in a mild breeze. The draw cord at the waist is very nice and works well. Eliminate need for a belt, which gets in the way when carrying a backpack. The draw chords at the cuffs are nice, but they require a plastic attachment, which is easily lost. They should be supplied with one or two replacements when purchased.

The pants have a perfect amount of stretch, which makes them comfortable during a day on the trail, and when relaxing around camp afterward. The zippered legs come off and on easily, and the adjustable drawstring at the ankle allows you to cinch it up around your boot to help keep 6- 8 legged critters and trail debris out of your shoes. I skidded on my side about 8 feet after crashing a dirtbike going way faster than I had any right to, and the pants look new. I don ’ t know if the current fabric is the same as these, but I bought them about seven years ago, wore them hiking, and then decided to take up dirt biking last Saturday( you are correct, these are not appropriate pants for that sport). WHERE ARE THE NEW COLORS?!?! These are the most absolutely amazing pants on the market and I 'm getting nervous that there are no new fun colors this season. It's true that this fabric does pill little bit but hear me out- they 're still totally worth it! I work exclusively outside for my fulltime job, hiking 5 miles per day on average and I genuinely wear these pants 4 days a week at minimum. I 've had the same pairs of Ferrosi's for over 5 years and though pilled, they 've lasted perfectly and show no other signs of wear. They are crazy lightweight and breathable but also water resistant. They keep me cool in 100+ degree weather and also do great over a baselayer in the winter. They are stretchy enough but also hold their shape. OR, you better warn us if these ever get discontinued so I can buy 10 more pairs.

My last pair shrunk a bit so I upsided on these in case of that. These are the most comfortable hiking pants I have owned. Also very durable. My last pair had the zipper to make shorts, which I hardly ever used and was less comfortable due to the zipper. Use these mostly for Montana backpacking. Love that they offer a 34 '' inseam for those with longer legs. The ferrosi fabric is stretchy and lightweight keeping my legs protected from the sun and shrubs during long treks in the Montana backcountry. Love them!

I ’ ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I ’ ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They ’ ve held up fine so far, but I ’ m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

I bought a pair of these pants about 20 years ago and wore them until recently when the lining started to deteriorate. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33 '' inseam, but these pants are perfect! I 'm 5' 8 '', 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. I love the way these pants feel and look. I recently bike commuted in them in the rain and unexpectedly they did great shedding water, they barely got wet at all. I love the stretchy waistband and overall fit. Being a little taller, they bottoms are a few inches above my ankles but that's fine if you 're looking for that. I would love an identical option that extended another 6 '' or so and in a few more fun colors. I 'm about 5' 7 '' and 133# and a size S was just right to avoid a baggy look that still moved well. I always seem to fall somewhere between an OR size S and M for bottoms, though.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. These pants are good quality and very comfortable. They are definitely baggy and run a bit big. I went with my usual size S and definitely could have sized down to XS for a more fitted look, but I do really like these and am happy with my purchase. I think I 'll be getting more.

These pants feel like quality. They are 98% pre- washed organic cotton and feel great, soft, not stiff. They are a little narrow, so you might want to size up. The pockets are ample and there are draw strings at the ankle to prevent creepy crawlies from crawling up your pant legs. The length is good if you are on the shorter side. If you are over 5' 5 '' they may be short.

I wore these pants to hike a local trail and although they were comfortable, they were a little short for my liking. I 'm 5' 8 '' and they came to the top of my ankle hiking boots. The color was great for tick checking which is a must!!

This is a solid pair of pants. I like the fit and the drawstring closure. They can be worn with almost anything. The only thing I don ’ t like about them is the front pockets. I think they could be a bit larger.

I got these online to use as work pants. The elastic waistband and drawstring secured them pretty well. The material is rugged, but not rigid. They seem like they 'll wear decently over time. I bought them with the short inseam, and I think they 're still a tad long for me( 29 ''- 30 '' is my normal). Overall nice pants.

I purchased these on a whim and have thrown out my other pants similar to these. The cut is nice and has a slight taper in the leg giving it a modern look. The material stretches and I have not noticed any wear after several washes. I am usually tough on clothing and these show no sign of abuse. I bought another pair in a different color I liked them so much.

Best pants I have ever owned. I had a pair of the regular Ferrosi pants, they were comfortable, but way too wide and baggy for my liking. These ones are a great cut and have an excellent feel to them. Super stretchy, super light, super comfortable. OR, please never change these. I will be buying more and more pairs!

The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. They do n't have the zipper thigh pocket but as I mentioned this gives them a slightly more formal look and fit. Obviously it goes without saying that they are comfortable, stretchy and lightweight like the entire Ferrosi line. Sometimes the Ferrosi line is known to pill but I have n't noticed any yet after a couple of months wear.

I 've been looking for a lighter version of hike and cross- country ski pants and these fit the bill perfectly! I practically 'live' in these pants as they are really comfortable! I appreciate OR making these pants with shorter 30 '' inseams in addition to regular 32 '' inseams. They are high quality and should last several years.

Used these on a hike up Mount Monadnock, temp was sub freezing the entire hike and I was comfortable during the climb. I 'm 6' 225lbs and ordered an XL. They were slightly big on me despite the sizing guide saying this should be my size. I had to draw down the belt as far as I could. However there would be plenty of room to layer if I needed too
