Bought this as a second kayak to our 13. 5 rambler. We are a family of 4 and kids are getting bigger. One of us uses this while the other three go in the big kayak. It is smooth and easy for kids to use. We bought this about 3 years ago and it ’s still going strong. Only down side is that it only holds 225lbs( or so it says), and the price is getting higher when there are other kayaks same price that hold more weight.

I coupled with a MinnKota 45 lb. thrust trolling motor and it moves me around well. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and weigh 200. I carry a 10 lb anchor which I store under the battery cover to distribute the weight. The 360 swivel works well for me. I am 70 and do not stand up while fishing but I know much younger people could. I ’ ve landed several 5 lb. bass on an ultralight rod in it.

This isnt an inexpensive kayak but you get more than what you pay for in a stabile one person fishing craft that is packed with good features. Are the flaws? Sure there are some things they might want to consider such as the raised track handles put quit a bit on leverage on the hull but having those tracks there opens up all kinds of possibilities. This was my first yak and I ca n't imagine I could have bought any better this boat is as much fun as it is functional. One suggestion for future models is a sucken battery well to lower the center of gravity a bit and to help keep the battery in place.

I had to order a new seat back for my Lancer 100 kayak. This was due solely to my mistake and not a production issue. Ian in customer service gave me exemplary help. He not only sent me the seat back, but also the strap, bungie and connections that he knew I would need. The service I received blew me out of the water( so to speak). I now know the reason behind the company's name as I will be a lifetime customer of Lifetime. Ian rocks!

I bought a 8ft lifetime kayak for my daughters birthday( larger one, she grew out of her lifetime kid kayak) and only a display kayak was available, except a hook plug was missing for attaching the seat( water was getting into the inner kayak).. I went online and sent an email explaining, they were nice and let me know they were sending me a replacement with no extra charge to me. buying from lifetime has been the best decision I 've ever made!! My husband and I both purchased Lifetime kayaks a few years ago. We have enjoyed many hours of paddling in our nearby marina. This kayak is well- loved — I 've owned it for just about 8 years now — and it just a fun little kayak. Tracking straight takes some time to master, it will seem impossible at first, and even then, it is never great, but it is incredibly stable, you can stand up in it and fish, and easy to transport.
