Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. My last pair shrunk a bit so I upsided on these in case of that. These are the most comfortable hiking pants I have owned. Also very durable. My last pair had the zipper to make shorts, which I hardly ever used and was less comfortable due to the zipper. I ’ ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I ’ ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They ’ ve held up fine so far, but I ’ m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. [ I bought these pants for my husband so now I 'm also reviewing them for him.:) These have a nice slim fit and are well suited for his long, lean legs. They are very versatile- can be dressed up, worn for work, casual and or outdoors activities. My husband wears them for all the above because they are so comfortable. He's happy with how they feel and I 'm happy with how he looks.

[ These pants have the pockets you ’ ve always wanted! They ’ re deep, zippered and not at all bulky. The side pocket fits my cellphone just fine( it ’s not a huge phone). The fabric is light, stretchy and attractive, not droopy or sloppy. I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ” and the regular length was perfect.

Amazing pants. Have worn these on the John Muir Trail the last two years. Great slightly baggy fit that breath really well and don ’ t bind on the knees when having to step up large rocks. Highly recommend after having worn for multiple trips and after having tried many other brands, these pants are my go to. Also wearing the Trail Sender shirt after being so happy with these. I 'm normally a size 32( male, 6 ’ 2 ”, 192lbs) wear a 34 to allow for a little extra room in the thigh. Easy to adjust with the built in belt/tie.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

You can expect the high level of quality that you typically get from Patagonia with these pants. They are very light yet fairly tear resistant. The pockets are a good size. The zipper quality seems reliable. This make excellent hiking pants but are also nice enough for a quick errand.

I 've been looking for a lighter version of hike and cross- country ski pants and these fit the bill perfectly! I practically 'live' in these pants as they are really comfortable! I appreciate OR making these pants with shorter 30 '' inseams in addition to regular 32 '' inseams. They are high quality and should last several years.

Used these on a hike up Mount Monadnock, temp was sub freezing the entire hike and I was comfortable during the climb. I 'm 6' 225lbs and ordered an XL. They were slightly big on me despite the sizing guide saying this should be my size. I had to draw down the belt as far as I could. However there would be plenty of room to layer if I needed too
