I love in Colorado so this is perfect for year round use because it's lightweight, will keep you dry in a light rain, is just warm enough, and I love the thumb holes. I 've tried several sun shirts of different brands and majority feel clammy and make me feel hot in the sun. Not this shirt! The material is thin, breathable and very soft on your skin. I actually prefer the quarter zip version over the MH hoody due to the bottom hem design( hoody has a draw string at the bottom which I do n't care for). This shirt also has better neck protection for me since I always wear a wide brim hat when I hike and I would n't use the hood. And I really appreciate having quarter zip to allow more air through. I 'd love to have more solid color options.

I 'm so glad I did n't order these online, I opted to try on my normal size at a local retailer and they were crazy tight, like early 2000s skinny jeans. I then tried on 2 sizes up from my regular waist size and they fit nicely with a belt. If you work out and have thighs and glutes that are semi- built order a size or two up in the waist for mobility. As far as quality goes, I like the thickness and rigidity of the material, definitely a nice resistant fabric.

After researching sun hoodies, I found the Crater Lake hoody. It was on sale, I bought it, wore it while hiking, it changed my experience... so I ordered two more!! Backpacked in Kentucky recently and the hoodies were a win for me. The material is thin and light, breathable. Feels great against my skin, wicks away the moisture so felt like I was n't even sweating. Sweat splotches were not noticeable at all. Will definitley explore other products. I purchased this used a few years ago and it has become a staple for hiking, camping, travel, and festivals. After the first year I cut the drawstring and tied it in a knot, much better and more practical. The light blue color stains easy. Sometimes this shirt stinks to high heaven after short use, other times I can wear it for days without stank. Washes easy and dries quickly. UPF continues to work after many years of regular use and washing, it provides protection from the sun and mild wind. It's so soft against bare skin and comfortable to sleep in. I use as a base layer, except when I use to layer over tank top when it's hot, or wool hoodie when it's cold. The pocket and zipper is great. No complaints.

I 've bought three pairs of these pants over the years. They are slim- fitting, a bit stretchy, and lightweight. Good for summer. They have some nice details like the pockets and cuff snaps, although honestly I do n't use either of those much. They are very slim fitting, so make sure you do n't order them too small in the waist. A lot of outdoor clothing companies make pants similar to these-- light, slightly stretchy, clean- looking and not too complicated. I think these are one of the better versions.

Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

I wore this the other day in 25+ mph wind gusts. I wore it over my flannel shirt and it was comfortable enough to pull over my existing clothing choice. The jacket was very easy to pull over existing clothes. As a bonus, it ’s also easy to take off and it doesn ’ t rip off your existing clothing when you pull it over your head. The jacket is a bit wider, but that ’s so it can fit over your existing clothes. The bottom has string you can tie up to cinch the jacket for a tighter and more wind- resistant fit so it won ’ t flop around in the wind gusts. The hood also has a string for the same purpose. The jacket held up pretty good in the wind. I ’ d imagine if it was much colder it wouldn ’ t be that great. But it was in the 50s with a lot of wind. It appears to be a good choice for a rain situation, but was unable to test that out. I would definitely recommend this jacket for hiking, camping, or any even on the golf course.

Things that could make it better: Thumb Loops/thin stretchy material at the end of the sleeves, like they have with the first tracks down jacket. Maybe a loop or hole near the neck gaiter area to store sunglasses when not on your face( one of the drawbacks of all pieces with the neck gaiter style). The front chest pocket ripstop is kinda loud(?) when brushed against. Not a huge deal just an inference. Things I love: the warmth, it's surprisingly warm. Pair it with a waterproof shell and you should be good in most places. The fit( subjective), I am usually in between sizes and sized up- it fits exactly how I expect/want, I 'd say true to size. I actually like the small hood, also subjective, but this will stay on my head without a helmet for just wearing casually which is what I wear it for. And a couple really cool features that I never knew I needed: The adjustable cinch at the bottom of the piece allows you to taper/close the bottom towards the hips. One issue I have with 99% of every fleece I 've had is the fabric kinda `` floats out '' towards this hip area when wearing, and makes you look larger than you actually are. This is a great solution for that, so it makes fits quite a bit better with this cinch feature. Another is the pocket- ception, the secret stash pocket within the kangaroo pocket is a sneaky place to store small items. Who does n't love a good stash pocket? Love the print, something other than just one color. I 've been wearing it the last few days and want to wear it all the time, it's extremely comfortable. I imagine I will be grabbing this piece more often than most others in my closet this winter. Very happy with this purchase.

Very lightweight and comfortable material-- I 've found its cool in warm weather but also provides a( small) amount of warmth if it's cool. ... The XS is definitely the better fit in this style and fits me perfectly without being tight, but I do n't mind having the small as a baggier option

[ Super soft and lightweight material. Downsides: absorbs sweaty/outdoor smells quickly and stitching tends to break and snag. But love how comfortable and functional it is- definitely one of my favorite active shirts.

[ Bomber construction and still fairly lightweight. Great stuffer for travel. Zipper is a little stiff out of the box, but I 'm sure that will temper soon.
