This is the perfect jacket for any type of cold weather! I live in a mild winter climate but tend to visit places where it gets a little chilly and wanted a jacket that would work for all the things. I sized up to make sure I have extra room for layering. On its own, it is perfectly lightweight and but still keeps me warm. On colder days, I am able to layer a sweatshirt underneath and stay cozy. This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

The material is a bit wrinkled from packaging but I think it will smooth out. The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Yes, this is a cropped boxy fit and runs a bit big. As long as you know that going into the purchase you won ’ t be disappointed. It ’s a FP dupe and a pretty good one( better than ones I found on Amazon). I am usually between a S and M and will often go with M in items like this to layer. It's still too hot in Iowa to evaluate warmth, but I think this feels like it will be fine to 35- 40°. ... So far this jacket has already surpassed my expectations as far as warmth

[ Jacket feels great quality. True to size. I bought an M and fits great. Only the shoulders are a bit loose but it's a good thing since you can take into advantage and wear as the last/top layer. Havent tried it outdoors but looking forward to see how it does in the rain.

Had the original of this. Would not have gotten anything else but this again. I was disappointed with the lack of product pictures to show the inside of the jacket. Where are the pictures of the inside pockets and lining, You need to get that right for this product! I was also disappointed with the zipper in the inside pocket. I 'm also annoyed at the sleeve length. This jacket need about half an inch to an inch added to the sleeves on the regular fit. Nevertheless, while different and lighter than the previous version. This jacket still dominates any other hoodie I own... in fact it dominates any other hoodie I 've come across. The original I owned was in the Chocolate color( IYKYK) had that one for about 10- 15 years. I was looking to get that again, but I 'm happy with the black. I 'd wear it all the time if I could, but it would n't improve my social awkwardness. Buy with confidence, knowing that this jacket will serve you very well! Bought this a couple years back now and decided to laud it after keeping me dry in a 10 minute downpour while waiting at a bus stop. It's truly my favorite article of daily outerwear.

I ’ ve had this jacket for over two years and I still love it. I wear it most of the year with varying degrees of layers. I love the lower side pockets where I can tuck my hands comfortably( some of the other fjallraven parkas don ’ t have lower side pockets in the women ’s version). I love the variety of pocket types and locations and use all of them. I love the cut and style. I love the color. I have the blue one which is such a beautiful tone. And I love how durable it is. I spend a lot of time in the forest with thorny vines, conifer branches, and a rowdy dog, and it has held up amazingly. Even in lots of rain when the wax layer is up- to- date. It has faded a little. I ’ m not sure if the slight fade is because of use or because I need to be better at waxing it. Please never stop making this jacket.

So glad I have this coat. I live in SE Tennessee so winters are more mild than my original home in the Midwest, but the fit allows me to layer so I 'm confident even during my travels this jacket is a one stop shop. I bought a large. I 'm 5' 2 '', 34J and usually wear a M/L top, size 12. The large fits perfectly, again, with enough room to layer a sweatshirt or sweater underneath comfortably. It does n't look too big without the extra layer under it either. My ONLY super slight complaint is that the sleeves are way too long( which is a common complaint for me). If they were an inch shorter it would be completely perfect, but I think the cut of the coat is such that they 're meant to be longer anyway. It's a specific thing for us shorter folks and it's not anything to make or break the jacket for me personally. I went out of my way to pay full price for it just to get the color I wanted( it was on sale at a wholeseller but did n't have the Acorn color in stock any more), which is n't something I do often. I 've had similar coats that cost less but did n't fit as well, and the versatility, adaptability adjustability, potential longevity of this jacket makes it worth every penny.
