I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. He told me it was the most effective machine he has ever used so I bought one for my sons. It is amazing how it throws change ups with a push of a button on a remote just like your car. It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. These balls are nice quality. They are solid with a slight squishy feeling. When used in the heater pitching machine they come out slower because of their weight. If they get wet or damp they are even slower through the machine. Once it was set up my son mentioned how sweet looking it is, very nice design. Started pitching to my son and could n't believe how accurate it was. We set up at a ball field at 60 feet and it was in the strike zone every time. Speed was nice too, had to keep it on speed 8 because any faster was too fast for my son. Overall, very happy with the machine. Did some pop flies and grounders for fielding practice and was again blown away at how easy it was to use. Needed an upgraded mitt for my son. He is a part time catcher so didnt want to spend the A2000$. Bought this mitt on sale and it has been great so far. it is going to take a little time to break in completly but he is play catch with it to help speed up the process. It should be ready once games start in a month or so as long as we continue to use mallet and play catch. Leather feels nice but need to wear it with fingers shifted in order to get it to close properly. If he wears it traditional then it wants to close thumb to middle finger. Keep that in mind if you or your kid prefers to wear catchers mitt traditional( pointer finger out of glove). Maybe after it is fully broken in he can switch back to traditional but he is getting comfortable with fingers shifted( 2 fingers in the pinky) for now. So far so good and it seems like it should last until he gets into High School.
