When you think of camping, backpacking, or survival, you should be thinking of water and food. I have multiple of the JetBoils in my various kit bags. Backpacking for 1, for 2, my get home bag. This unit( and all of the various units they make) accomplish so much in a self- contained package. For the features, it is relatively light( it will never win the “ ultralight ” challenge of a simple pocket rocket, etc) but it is your water boiler, it is your eating vessel, it contains and protects the heating element, you can pack your fuel in there. I used this camping in the high country of Northern CA, or the snowy mountains of CO, as well as driving around scouting and glassing. I was not very easy on it. It would live in my pack or in my truck, getting tossed around and having things fall on it or just bouncing around while driving down not well maintained dirt road. It still works like the day I pulled it out of the box. Striker still works great. Lid stays on. I have not found a reason for the orange stand that comes with it. I have been using the fuel can as the stand.

I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. Awesome. I use this on every backpacking trip. It is definitely big, but if you 're cooking for multiple people having the space is well worth it. I will use the cup to mix up food and stuff in( some people are more purists and only ever allow water in their jetboil) but using it to actually mix stuff up means you do n't have to pack extra pots and pans which is a big plus. And it is big enough to stick your fuel cans and stove and utensils, etc. inside. And having the measuring markers makes it even more useful too. Great workhorse.

So far so good. I looked long& hard for something to help with campsite organization. We&# x27; re a camping family that takes meal prep seriously- we don&# x27; t settle for hotdogs and canned bbq beans alone- not knocking hotdogs, but we do enjoy a good meal at camp. Along with that comes a chaotic camp kitchen. I&# x27; d read enough positive reviews on the slim- fold to sway me to pick one up. We used it over a 4- day 4th of July camping trip to put it through its paces. I&# x27; m quite happy with it- it upgraded my kitchen storage game quite a bit. I&# x27; m impressed by the build quality and expect it&# x27; ll last a good number of years. Quite steady. If it had been a bit deeper it might be sturdier, but once it has a few heavy items on top, it&# x27;s pretty steady on flat/even ground. And that&# x27; d be a trade- off. I&# x27; d r recommend it to a fried. While I give it 5 stars, I&# x27; d note two things: 1) addition of a hangable mesh under the main surface would expand dish drying surface greatly, and 2) keep in mind that the aluminum main surface is a little slippery- we use a metal Camp Chef stove and it was a little slippery. I&# x27; m going to look for a 16x24 '' peice of thin rubber to create a friction layer between them so it doesn&# x27; t slip around.

Pro 14 two burner cooktop Went to our inaugural Halloween bike ride and one of the guys pulled out a older version of the Pro 14 two burner cooktop and griddle. I could n't believe how easily it setup, cleaned up and made a ton of food for every that came that day. It worked so well that my wife and I ordered one immediately to use on our own trips, gatherings and just some Sunday morning cookout fun. We also purchased the two burner griddle and griddle carrying bags for both the stove and griddle, so nice to keep everything neat and sorted. I 've only used it a couple of times so far but one thing i really noticed was how nice the burner control is, you can turn it down all the way and not worry about the burner flaming out. My only complaint which is minor is that the flip out red lid covers do n't sit completely flat like my friends did. Perhaps they will wear in with a bit more use.

This smoker adds the extra smoke I was looking for on my meat. I smoked a few pork butts and they all turned out amazing. The smoke ring was awesome. The meat was tender and juicy. The room in this smoker is twice the space I had on my MZG 24 smoker. The temperature stayed consistent and was always within 3- 5 degrees off set temperature. The vertical chamber is great for not losing heat. When I would open the lid to my MZG 24 smoker, the temperature would drop ten degrees or more. I do n't get but a couple degree drop when I open the door to the XXL Pro. Probably due to the vertical design. I would say the smoke box is also great addition to adding extra smoke at whatever level you desire. The Wi- Fi, blue tooth controller works well. I really like this smoker.

My XXL has been in use now for several months. There no significant issues with assembly. The door fits and swings well and easily. The temperature controller works as advertised. The smoke box does the job easily and neatly. Pork Butts, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Turkey, Beef of various cuts have all turned out delicious. It is supremely easy to use. The wheels make it easy to move around, thought the legs tend to vibrate and chatter a bit on uneven pavement. The pellet hopper is huge and easy to fill and monitor. Even the WiFi connection/controller works well. Nice unit.

Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

So it's been 2 months and I 've been smoking like a mad Man. This was a replacement for an Oklahoma Joe's longhorn. I always smoked with pure oak and it was very difficult to control the temperature. This smoker is ridiculously simple. I 've done pulled pork, homemade pastrami, ribs, and brisket. I was also very pleasantly surprised about the Wi- Fi and wireless. I was able to check the temperatures when I had to go out somewhere just in case. This is for a long smoke on a brisket is pretty handy. I also purchased the sides seer which include a ridiculously large BTU burner. That burner has been phenomenal for searing sous vide steaks in under a minute. One thing I did not initially buy was the griddle, but I ordered that and with the sides here burner it is one of the handiest griddles I 've ever used, best temperature control over the whole area. I have a high- end gas stove in the house and it's griddle does n't come close to how good the temperature control is. My one recommendation is somehow that I do n't have to throw away that shelf and use it or mount it at the bottom. You can see that I made my own modification to put that shelf instead of throwing it away to mount on the bottom.

I 've been using my BBQ grill box with my Explorer for 10+ years. It has been used as an every- day grill, camping grill, party grill, baseball tournament grill, etc... very heavy usage. Zero issues. I estimate that I have prepared over 300 meals with it. The grill box has now worn out( the grate plate below the cooking surface finally rusted and broke through and is coming apart). This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. [ After a few newbie failures, I ’ m starting to get the hang of the oven. I tend to put a lot of ingredients on my pizza, and it makes it difficult to get off the peel and onto the stone. But someone told me to cook the pie for a few seconds before putting the ingredients on. This works great for me! I ’ m using charcoal to get an even and high temperature, and just before cooking the pizza, I throw on some hardwood like oak or cherry. This gets it blazing hot, and creates a good top flame. After maybe 4- 5 attempts with not so great results, I now feel that I have a method that works great now!

This thing is great there is some learning on it I had 2 other griddles with no coating, and this is much easier to keep clean. I clean with soap& water and its ready for the next cook no need to oil. Love this thing.

I bought this griddle 2 months ago and would recommend the ultimate highly to everyone. The only problem I had was the first time I used it burned the bacon. Since then everything had been great! The griddle top cleans easily and nothing so far has stuck to it. Steaks, pancakes, french toast, and mushrooms all came out fantastic. I am glad Iresearched all the griddles out there first.

[ The field oven has given another element to camping. We used the field oven with the grill grates that are available at campgrounds and it worked just fine. Just have to make sure grill grate is ajustable to different heights. I do wish it came with a canvas bag. Some heat resistant gloves are recommended as it can get pretty hot when trying to move it. Overall, I ’ m super happy with this product and can ’ t wait to cook many things with it.
