I was looking for a small cooler for little day trips and things and of course the sticker shock of the yetis was enough to make your head spin.$ 200 and they are n't even made stateside. Took a stroll down the igloo aisle because it was more of my budget and was surprised to see that they were actually made in USA! The cooler itself is great, it's small and easy to bring with you, but big enough that you can still load a decent amount of stuff in it and whether you use ice or the igloo freezer blocks, it does a great job of keeping things cold for a reasonable amount of time. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this cooler for small day trips or if you need a lunch box. If you are like a construction worker or a truck driver or something it's perfect for that sort of thing.

Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

If you love cold drinks driving to hot states in the summer or any time this is a great cooler that will do the job. This is highly recommended as opposed to thermoelectric coolers if you need to travel with medication that must be at a certain temperature. The only drawback is that all compressor coolers are heaver by design. The bail handle seems strong enough by design to handle to full weight of the cooler. Where the bail handle attaches to both sides of the cooler body, this is why I gave this cooler 4 stars. It seems to be loose fitting and flimsy at the ends. The handles will just fall down to the sides when let go. The cooling and holding temperature work as designed and the compressor will stay off for about an hour to cool again at the set temp.( 42' F). I recommend the cooler, wish the price was less, great overall satisfaction.

I ’ m liking it so far, two weeks in and able to withstand the Texas heat. The smaller side has a small seal leak after I did the light test. I know that was an issue with these coolers. Happy so far though. Side note: it ’s absolute unit, about 50 pounds I think. Two man job to get it out of the car.

I purchased this cooler for our summer car camping trips. I picked this one for its compact and space saving shape and the fact that it has the ability to be wheeled when full. We have used this for several trips now and it has held up outstanding. The cooler has plenty of room, there are only 2 of us camping even with the two frozen one- gallon water bottles we use to keep it cold. It ’s size works very well for use, it will fit on one seat instead of taking up the whole backseat. The wheels have proved to be very useful and the handle is sturdy. I know there have been some questions about sitting on it and I have to admit that I had stood on it. Probably shouldn ’ t have but things happen. It caused no damage to the cooler. The other thing I really like about it is the cup holders on top. On occasion we use it as a mini camping table and the holders come in handy, not only for drinks but small items or phones as well. As far as its ability to keep the contents cold, we have had no issues. We have not had the opportunity to use it in hot weather yet but have used it for 3 day trips. The frozen water bottles and one small bag of ice were more than enough for the long weekend. Overall, this cooler is a great buy, very sturdy and works well. I would buy it again should anything happen to mine.

Our first camping trip this spring for 5 days. The label says 6 days. Temps were high in low 70's, lows in the 40's. And we came home with ice. Great job. I froze about 15 pounds of meat in ziplocks, and placed in plastic cereal boxed shaped containers. and put two gallons of frozen ice jugs. With about 24 cans and condiments. We came home with a golf ball sized ice cube in the gallon jugs, and cold meat! One more gallon of ice and it would have made 6 days, no doubt. Example is the back of a Honda Odyssey…yes, I ’ m a dad with kids and dogs and one day I ’ ll have a rad car again, but until then I ’ ll settle on having a rad Yeti. It's not a dull, boring blue – it ’s vibrant, cheerful, and just screams summer fun. It looks amazing in all my outdoor pics, and honestly, it just makes me happy looking at it. [ My husband and I love this cooler. I ’ ve added some photos to show off a few features. I love the latch to keep the lid closed. That way when we ’ re headed down the road we never have to worry about it toppling over and coming open or the wind pulling the lid open in the back of the truck. I also really like the handles. They have straps so they can extend out and up to give you more flexibility in how you hold it. It also makes it easy to carry on my own with my short arms. It of course has wheels to roll on and they are nice and large so it glides smoothly and easily. The handle extends pretty high. Up to around my chest. So I never have to lean down to roll it along. The inside is quite large both vertically and horizontally so that I can put a variety of different sizes and shaped items in. Watermelon…no problem. Six packs…no problem. Tons of stuff! And it stays so cold for so long. Plus the drain plug has a no lose cap and it ’s position much better than previous coolers I ’ ve owned. It ’s down at the bottom of the cooler instead of above the floor of the cooler slightly, so all of the liquid drains. We love this cooler so much that we gave away the one we had before this. I highly recommend it.

I recently purchased the 35 hard cooler to use in my car when I day hike and fish. I just put it to the test on a float fishing trip where the outside air temperature reached 91 degrees. I intentionally left the cooler in my car with some food and drinks to test how well it would withstand the heat. The cooler has a small ice bag and one Yeti slim ice pack. When I returned from the fishing trip after having the cooler in my hot car for 10+ hours, the food and drinks were still cold. Along with outstanding performance, the cooler was a one man lift when completely loaded and it's compact enough to fit in a back seat of a car if needed. Definitely worth it!

The size and the dimension layout work really well for us. It is pretty tight and vertical compared to a different brand cooler that we have that takes up more space in the back of our car, compared to our other cooler with sides that angle out taking more space.
