I was looking for a waterproof boot that was n't thermalized so I could wear it in a range of weather-- these are perfect. The Chaco footbed is nice and supportive, and the shaft is wide enough for easy on and off. Also love the finger loop at the back to help. I wear a size 8 or 8. 5 wide in women's and I bought the men's 7-- it fits perfectly and the width is great.

These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.

The dark brown leather is blemish free. The feeling of fit wearing thick wool socks is comfortable, no odd pressure points along the upper or side portion of the shoes. Man made foam insert foot bed sits on top of the compressed paper or leather mid sole. The glued on `` Chaco '' rubber sole is grippy and has deep treads for a secure wet stance in the rain. I 've had this boot for 2 weeks and it has held up well with hourly patrols which total around 15, 000- 20, 000 steps a day. Pair it with compression socks or nicely padded merino wool socks and you wo n't have any foot pain at all. The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. The only thing is I feel so nervous about ruining them because of how much I like the look of them. I use the 10 '' insulated for winter hiking and snowshoeing, the low for rocky terrain in warm weather, and have been running a set of Premium Mids for fall hiking. These things are incredibly well constructed, very supportive, totally waterproof, and super comfortable. With my current mids having put in a long service life, including plenty of winter wear, I was due for a new set. They 've made some thoughtful improvements to the tongue and lace hooks, but everything else that I love about the shoes remains intact. The factory insoles are great, but I do swap them out for a set of Superfeet as a personal preference. Despite a lack of insulation and good breathability, there is enough material and protection to make these a bit stifling in warm weather. The added benefit is that they are great during chilly hikes in late fall and make great everyday shoes for winter. As has been my experience with Oboz, I did bump up a half size and it fits perfectly.

I have used Durango for a while, and convince others everytime I see them that they need to give these boots a try. But these specific boots are the best ones yet. I was sceptical about the ventilation but it honestly helps your feet breathe! And the SOLES…. I ’ ve never seen a sole of a boot/shoe/etc work and perform as well as these! [ I have very wide feet so it was great to find these guys. Most people should probably size down due to this but I find the sizing in Wide to be perfect! The boots do run a little warm but that's to be expected from a waterproof leather boot. Like other reviews say, they barely have a break in period and are very comfortable for any situation.

Sizing fit my normal size, 10. 5D. Always have worn cowboy boots but unsure if my feet are changing or what but lately the top of my foot at the ankle has been rubbed raw by cowboy boots that I have worn for years through various styles( ariat, double H, Redwing). Did n't want to give up the heel style I prefer so after reading reviews ordered these. After a month of wear, found my ideal boots. They are light, almost no weight to them and the break in was no struggle with normal wear and rest of cycles between this and other pairs of boots. I had tried the Red Wing Logger Max 9 inch years ago and the laces for some reason refused to stay tied( unsure if it was the pair or user error). I work in an administrative environment 80% of the time with 20% in the field. I cant say enough about the weight, as I stated almost none, I have worn boots my entire life and Redwings have encompassed about 70% of the brands I have always worn. With good care and resoling as needed, look forward to having these boots for years.

I 've tried on many a different brand and style of loggers and these are by far the best fitting! I had a time finding a logger boot fmto fit my feet cause im a 12. 5 on a bradick board, or however its called. Im in between a 12 and 13 in every other boot brand which never fit right. Purchased a size 12 and they are sized larger than my feet at about a size 12. 5. So they fit perfect. Comfortable all day, insulated tp where my feet are n't cold riding the Harley in cold weather even! Very cushy tongue and stalk as well. Probably going to order another pair to keep on the shelf. Once you find something that works this well for you, you buy two or 3 of them! Well done Irish Setter!!

I had a different brand of boots last me 2 month ’s and they blew out then I switched to Durango ’s and have been been wearing them for over 6 years. They ’ re super durable for all types of work. If you ’ re on your feet a lot that ’s okay cause they ’ re comfortable, if you ’ re in the saddle they ’ re fine also. With other brands I ’ d have the sole falling off that won ’ t happen with these boots. I keep buying more after a couple years just because I want new one not because they ’ re wore out.
