purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free 's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly 's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly 's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

In comparison, I went to a competitors try on run recently where I tested their equal and felt an immediate discomfort. I quickly changed back into my V18. I ’ m interested to see how they hold up as I continue to train at longer distances. If yours squeak, try some baby powder between the insole and sole. I think these have a glued down insole if remembering correctly, but i think i peeled them up in mine. Put baby power between the layers and try to get it to go between the sole from the upper and the foam of the cushioning/midsole where they are sewn together. Sometimes there are vent holes as well. If you get them really wet/dry and that gets washed out it will return some eventually but you can redo it. Ive had several different styles of squeaky shoes and this works. The squeak is between the upper sole and midsole and not the outer sole and the ground like most people think. That is why they squeak on any surface. Had these shoes for about a year and a half now and used and abused them. Feels pretty much as good or better than pegasus i had, although it is hard to ever get a direct comparison. Ive worked and walked a lot in them and usually feet feel as any other shoe Ive ever had. I coach and do a lot of outdoor work.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. I have been a long time Hoka Stinson wearer for hiking but the soles do n't hold up well for Grand Canyon and slick rock hiking. I decided to try the Olympus 6 's and have been very pleased. The Vibram soles are grippy and durable with the same plush cushioning that I enjoyed with the Hokas. The Olympus runs about 1/2 smaller than the Hokas which caused the hassle of sending back a pair. Okay I definitely struck gold when I chose these Nikes for my next run the way they hug your feet is simply perfect design they are so lightweight I have nothing on when wearing them. They also promote comforting heel security for some reason I guess just the way they hug so well. You can throw them on faster than a flip- flop and they stick to your foot harder than glue. The price is incredible but the design is far more expensive than one could imagine. Thank you so very much Maggie for designing these shoes I struck gold and I will be reordering these shoes over and over I have delicate feet a bad knee a bad ankle and I feel that I do n't need ankle support because the way these shoes hug my foot somehow allows me to think about my heel at all times, this allows me to keep my heel firm in one position to avoid twisting it I 'm sure all runners were some will know exactly what I mean I only wear with heel support to feel the pressure and remind me that I must not allow my heel to get comfortable and and turn risky in the middle of my run. All because of the way these shoes hug my foot that is amazing woman itself. Overall there are featherweight shoes that hug your feet perfectly. When you put these shoes on you know you got on a professional pair of running shoes which in turn makes you feel professional and overall giving you a more hyper- powerful confident run adding to your mileage and overall goal. Thank you very much Nike I 'll be reordering these shoes a couple of hundred times in my lifetime since I 'm young. There are many wonderful shoes out there but if it 's not a Nike I promise you it 's just not a Nike and you will know the difference there 's nothing better out there for your feet your back and your confidence that out perform Nike.

This is the most comfortable of all the Glycerin series shoes I have had in the past. The cushioning is super, like walking on a sponge. But despite the softness I feel the stability is excellent, I never feel I am losing my balance. This review is from a senior citizen who uses them for long walks in the Florida sun and heat. I have deformed feet that require me to use strong custom orthotics in my shoes for all activities. first hike rubber tip on one toe of one shoe starting to peel back. I do n't recall catching my toe on something. I have the altra gators and( not just this shoe but others) the laces do n't go far enough towards to toes so you ca n't use the lace hook on the gator. I push the gator fabric through some laces as a workaround. Other than these 2 minor things I love them
