I use this heater with a large 4 man shanty and it keeps it heated. First trip out this year was in sub - zero weather and we stayed warm all day long. One small tank of propane lasts about 3 - 4 hrs on low setting. The only time I ’ ve used medium setting is to cook and have never used the high setting. I highly recommend for the fisherman who likes to travel light.

This will work well for you, if you realize how to use Cast Iron. It will heat slowly with the first pie and then probably burn if you do n't pay close attention. After that they will come out of the fire perfectly toasted and fairly fast. We had one as kids for camping with our family. It lasted over 40 years and one of my siblings has it now. I bought one for our family, so we could enjoy the same memories! Not very expensive either!

When you think of camping, backpacking, or survival, you should be thinking of water and food. I have multiple of the JetBoils in my various kit bags. Backpacking for 1, for 2, my get home bag. This unit( and all of the various units they make) accomplish so much in a self - contained package. For the features, it is relatively light( it will never win the “ ultralight ” challenge of a simple pocket rocket, etc) but it is your water boiler, it is your eating vessel, it contains and protects the heating element, you can pack your fuel in there. If you want an easy to use, well know and tried and trued package - the JetBoil line accomplishes a lot!

I used this camping in the high country of Northern CA, or the snowy mountains of CO, as well as driving around scouting and glassing. I was not very easy on it. It would live in my pack or in my truck, getting tossed around and having things fall on it or just bouncing around while driving down not well maintained dirt road. It still works like the day I pulled it out of the box. Striker still works great. Lid stays on. I have not found a reason for the orange stand that comes with it. I have been using the fuel can as the stand.

Awesome. I use this on every backpacking trip. It is definitely big, but if you 're cooking for multiple people having the space is well worth it. I will use the cup to mix up food and stuff in( some people are more purists and only ever allow water in their jetboil) but using it to actually mix stuff up means you do n't have to pack extra pots and pans which is a big plus. And it is big enough to stick your fuel cans and stove and utensils, etc. inside. And having the measuring markers makes it even more useful too. Great workhorse.

I have used my the WhisperLite International for something like 20 years! From bicycle 🚴 camping 🏕 trips to Florida hurricanes 🌀 I used it for about three weeks straight when hurricane Charlie took out the power. About the only thing I have done to the stove is clean it maybe 🤔 every year or so and I think 🤔 the only problem I have had was I had to replace one little O - ring! That reminds me I have to replace the O - ring that I removed from the little service kit. I recommend that service kit I replaced that O - ring at night during a hurricane 🌀 power outage and all those O - Rings are special and your not going to find one when you roll into a campground at 02: 00 🕑 AM in the rain 🌧 on your bicycle 🚴 and all you want to do is get something to eat and go to sleep 🏕 But if the stove needs an O - ring it is going to be cold Mountain House Chicken 🐔 Teriyaki 🤢 and a cold breakfast 🍳 So you need to get the service kit at least for peace of mind!

[ After a few newbie failures, I ’ m starting to get the hang of the oven. I tend to put a lot of ingredients on my pizza, and it makes it difficult to get off the peel and onto the stone. But someone told me to cook the pie for a few seconds before putting the ingredients on. This works great for me! I ’ m using charcoal to get an even and high temperature, and just before cooking the pizza, I throw on some hardwood like oak or cherry. This gets it blazing hot, and creates a good top flame. After maybe 4 - 5 attempts with not so great results, I now feel that I have a method that works great now!

I would say yes! The variety of fuels types is spectacular! 90% of the time i use iso butane or propane, but the ability to convert is awesome. Quick cook times, good flame control. I also have a whisper light stove for colder weather and higher altitudes.

[ The MSR isobutane cartridge is 20% propane so it works down to - 10F or better. Can tip the cartridge upside down to feed liquid so the propane does n't all burn off, leaving just isobutane that wo n't work below 11F. Has the liquid pump and hose so it will burn white gas or kerosene at any temp. The burner does n't sit on top of a tippy fuel cartridge and is nice and wide to accomodate larger pots, but narrow enough for the small pots too. Fuel cartridges are easy to find and kerosene and white gas are pretty much everywhere. The cartridges have a weight chart so you can determine the fuel level on a scale or just place them in water and read it. We had troubles before with a standard n - butane burner in winter, they do n't work below 31F. The only alternative is bulky and heavy propane gear. Included an aluminum windscreen and a nice aluminum pad to place the burner on to reflect heat. You can get tiny cartridges for a quick pack - in up to large ones for car camping. I had the international version many years ago and it worked great, but the cartridges are more convenient. Also, some national forests/parks etc. will not let you use liquid fuel due to instant shutoff requirements especially in fire seasons.

This smoker adds the extra smoke I was looking for on my meat. I smoked a few pork butts and they all turned out amazing. The smoke ring was awesome. The meat was tender and juicy. The room in this smoker is twice the space I had on my MZG 24 smoker. The temperature stayed consistent and was always within 3 - 5 degrees off set temperature. The vertical chamber is great for not losing heat. When I would open the lid to my MZG 24 smoker, the temperature would drop ten degrees or more. I do n't get but a couple degree drop when I open the door to the XXL Pro. Probably due to the vertical design. I would say the smoke box is also great addition to adding extra smoke at whatever level you desire. The Wi - Fi, blue tooth controller works well. I really like this smoker.

My XXL has been in use now for several months. There no significant issues with assembly. The door fits and swings well and easily. The temperature controller works as advertised. The smoke box does the job easily and neatly. Pork Butts, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Turkey, Beef of various cuts have all turned out delicious. It is supremely easy to use. The wheels make it easy to move around, thought the legs tend to vibrate and chatter a bit on uneven pavement. The pellet hopper is huge and easy to fill and monitor. Even the WiFi connection/controller works well. Nice unit.

Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

The griddle works great. I purchased it after seeing the review on The Flat Top King. I like the fact that when you turn it on low, the temperature stays low as opposed to other brands that just keep getting hotter the longer it goes. Very even heating all across the surface. Assembly was pretty straightforward and I had no problems.
