I love these shoes. I was a mega fan of the SL2. 0 with the Continental rubber sole. The one difference I noticed is the sole. I ran in the SL2 after some rain and the traction was precarious. Similar to other shoes models that have been updated without the Continental soles, I did not feel comfortable running in these shoes with any moisture on the pavement. I was afraid of tweaking my knee or ankle. Otherwise, these are nice and light with enough cushion and pep.

I 'll admit that I have always thought Altra shoes were not for me. Between the squared off toe box and the zero drop DNA; I just never gave them a chance. That all changed when they came out with the Experience collection and the move to a mid- drop ALTernative. Okay I definitely struck gold when I chose these Nikes for my next run the way they hug your feet is simply perfect design they are so lightweight I have nothing on when wearing them. The Dasher 2 is an improvement of the original Dasher shoe which was a very good shoe. The added grippy outsole traction allows me to use these shoes on fire road- type trail runs where the original Dasher shoe was n't able to go. It also works better on wet road surfaces for runs and walks. The wide heel provides enough stability for turns on the trail while the upper allows for breathability. I use my Tree Dasher 2 over my Trail Runners SWT on dry runs on groomed trails where my Trail Runners are now used on technical trails or hikes. If yours squeak, try some baby powder between the insole and sole. I think these have a glued down insole if remembering correctly, but i think i peeled them up in mine. Put baby power between the layers and try to get it to go between the sole from the upper and the foam of the cushioning/midsole where they are sewn together. Sometimes there are vent holes as well. If you get them really wet/dry and that gets washed out it will return some eventually but you can redo it. Ive had several different styles of squeaky shoes and this works. The squeak is between the upper sole and midsole and not the outer sole and the ground like most people think. That is why they squeak on any surface. Had these shoes for about a year and a half now and used and abused them. Feels pretty much as good or better than pegasus i had, although it is hard to ever get a direct comparison. Ive worked and walked a lot in them and usually feet feel as any other shoe Ive ever had. I coach and do a lot of outdoor work.

I have been wearing Hokas for years because of the need for support, and I liked the rocker sole. I have had to quit running, however, because of joint degradation, and needed a flatter shoe that still provided good support. I needed a shoe that I could lift weights in, so it needs to be flat enough to feel the floor; and yet allow me to knock around, take long walks with the dogs. An all- around sneaker. So I took a chance on the Revel 7, based on the configurator and its recommendations. I have been wearing them for about 3 weeks, and they are working out pretty well. My only concern, and it's a rather small one, is that I feel the seam of the sneaker on the outside corner of my great toe in each shoe. I take some long hill walks with the dogs, and that seam has not been an issue, has n't created blisters or ongoing discomfort. I am just fussy, is all. I am interested to see how the shoe wears in the next few months. If it wears well, I will be back for sure. The price is right, and it's kind of a relief wearing a lighter shoe with good support after years of the heavier Hoka.

I 'm new to the wide toe box, zero drop but I 'm absolutely in love with this shoe& hope I never have to go back to traditional tennis shoes. Zero- drop requires some adjustment time- my calves have been BURNING on walks, so I 've had to slow it down. FYI I tried Flux footwear first, but they are ridiculously narrow, so I had to return( also beware their return policy). I wear my new altras for walking and strength training primarily, and I plan to wear them when I visit London for 10 days in October. So happy with my purchase overall. One critique is I 'd like to see more wide- width options for women.

I do a lot of hiking/walking. I have had Altra for years, problem is my right foot had an injury and is wider. The original fit Altra fit perfect. Sadly this original fit seemed to have disappeared. Luckily I found this pair with original fit. Happy customer

Great for road running. Escalante 3 felt too small on the top of my foot. Went up 1/2 size and this fits perfect. Will buy again.
