I purchased this so that I do not have to apply sunscreen to my bald head in the pool or ocean. I used it multiple times for racing and swimming in the pool with Aqua Sphere goggles and for diving/snokeling in the Ocean in the Big Island and Kauai, Hawaii and it stays on like glue and does not interfere with my goggles or mask seal. You can even push it down closer to eyes and it stays firm. Even diving through violent Ocean waves it stayed on-- up to two hours in the water-- no problem. Protected my head against sunburn each time with no sunscreen. On one of my snorkeling boats I saw 2 other guys using this cap for the same reason-- prevent sunburn to the bald head. I have been looking for the perfect visor for several years after my favorite was discontinued. Most of the ones with wider brims were just too big and made me look silly. I have a very small face. And you take off in the wind like the flying nun. These visors are the perfect length for keeping the sun out of your eyes. I love the lightness; however, I ’ m not sure how they will fair in strong winds. I also wish they had more colors to choose from. I like the light gray, however, it didn ’ t allow me to tighten it enough; The light purple was easier to tighten to my needs.
