I bought this when it was on sale for 70% off, not knowing the exact fabric content or if the quality would be as good as other Smartwool items I 've purchased. The construction is pretty good, flat lock seams are well executed and it's comfortable to wear. My biggest complaint is that they do n't list the exact fabric content in the website description. It's 56% merino, 44% polyester. Material is thin, comparable to Merino 150. Fit is slim and a little long. With the light weight of the material the collar has a tendency to fold in on itself if it's slightly unzipped, but I do n't think this can be fixed. Like the other reviewers I was skeptical about how thin the material was. However, after wearing it snowboarding and Nordic skiing as a mid layer, it is awesome. The only downside I can tell is that the thumb holes are aligned in a way that sort of twists the sleeves. Also the seam line across the chest can be a little annoying to feel. Otherwise, warm and worth the upgrade.
