After I returned them I ordered another pair as an exchange and believe it or not I was sent the EXACT same shoes back to me. This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

[ I bought these shoes for an event coming up in June that will require me to be on my feet for at least 8 hours. At 71 years old I really need them to preform well. [ I was finally happy to see a wide light weight hiker from Keen. For awhile most of their light weight hikers never came in wide, so this is very welcome. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

[ This Keen Targhee Apex is a comfortable shoe! One of the first things I noticed is how quiet the outsole and midsole were when walking around the store on carpet and cement. They 've since been on a dusty hike and a rainy road- to- trail hike. Nice cushioning, stability, and no dust nor water got inside the shoes. Since these shoes are nearly white you can see that some dirt has stayed in the crease on the forefooot even after being hosed off.( Again, no water got inside.) Fit wise, these have a neutral insole, roomier toebox, and wider heel. To keep my foot from sliding forward and to have a better fit for my heel I will add Superfeet insoles. This shoe runs true to size so I went up 1/2 a size to allow for swelling on longer and hot hikes. Nice shoe. I look forward to seeing how it feels after putting more miles on it.

They are light weight and cute, not clunky looking. The color is cute and not something everyone is wearing. However, I have a lazy baby toe, so need a little more room in the toe box. Been trying everything from trail runners to hiking boots, and always have knee pain due to meniscus surgery and metatarsal pain especially on pavement or downhill. So far I 've only hiked about 10 miles in these, but it's the first 10 miles without pain in years! Fit wise, I have low volume, long arch, c width feet with all the width at the toes. I sized my normal 11. 5D and while an 11 would have fit, the 11. 5 felt better. No issues with foot slip, no hot spots. Shoes are squishy, but return energy such that they do n't feel soft. Great for pavement and trails. Well done, Danner.

[ Recently broke these in during a trip to Supai, and they performed great. Wore them in temps ranging from 30s to 80s, and I was comfortable the whole time. Water resistant enough to splash through some light streams, and did really well in sandy conditions. I wear a 10 in most brands( my go to running shoe brand in Brooks for reference), and these fit great with hiking socks. These are more of a lightweight boot/heavy duty running shoe than a true boot, but that is my preference. They seemed like they will hold up well over time, and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Good boots. Light weight, good fit for me. I often have difficulty getting a just right fit. The Targhee has been a good boot for me in the past. The Apex version continues that tradition for me. Also have had a couple pairs of low top Zionics. I like them but the Apex fits me a bit better. A shade more toe box room. I would n't mind even a tad more. I will likely replace the Zionics with low top Apex shoes at some point. At 69 my feet are more particular than they once were and Keens keep me comfortably on the trail. Primarily woods trails, big hills and small mountain use. Use these as an everyday shoe also.

[ These are the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn. They are durable and keep your feet dry. The traction is amazing as you can walk in the rain and not lose traction as well as walk on rocks and still keep traction. The fit is accurate as well. I am a 7- 7. 5 and ordered a 7. 5 and it fits great especially with thicker socks.

[ So I have n't been hiking and have nothing planned until mid March. But... When I got the package I 'm like no this is too heavy of a box. But I put my shoes on and was very surprised how light weight they really are. I even just took a boot off of my left broken able ankle the day before. So I wore them all day and even this am to walk the dog. I can say I am definitely going to enjoy these and I 'll come back and give a detailed description of day in the woods with my very own very pretty hiking shoe. Did I mention the colors go perfect with all my gear... Win win win

I only was able to use them on moderately easy trails. There were some slick spots and the traction was great. Didn ’ t get to notice waterproof. But these shoes are extremely comfortable.

These shoes provide “ straight out of the box comfort ”. I love the arch support and sturdiness. I recently tested them out on a rainy hike and my feet stayed dry. I am out with my dogs everyday, regardless of the weather, so the waterproof feature is a must. I liked them so much that I bought a second pair in a different color. These are so comfy right out of the box. No break in needed. Took them for a 4 mile hike to collect Huckleberries on their first trip. Used my nice running shoes on a previous trip and my feet and knees hurt afterwards. With these I could go miles more with no issues.

Great shoes! I 'm very happy with the fit, support, grip, design and style. I usually take a size 12, but got these in size 13. Perfect fit. Waterproofing ability is yet to come, but so far rain is not a problem.

I really like these shoes. They are replacing my old Moab 3s that I loved. I went hiking straight up a mountain yesterday and everybody was slipping and sliding but not me. These have excellent traction. They are also very comfortable. I couldn ’ t be more satisfied. I now prefer them over my Hokas for street use as well.
