I would say to disregard any of the negative reviews about this bag, saying it's flimsy. I almost steered clear of it for that reason until I checked exactly which heavy bags we have at my MMA school and many of them are these models. Yes, they 're softER than some bags could be, but they 're definitely up to par for real training. My guess is that whoever rated them as flimsy got a misfire bag, which could happen 1 out of a few hundred with any brand. I have n't broken mine in yet but when it arrived I was actually surprised that it was even stiffer than the ones we have at the MMA gym. I would definitely recommend this bag.

With 200 lbs of sand in the base it is pretty stable. There is actually a space for another 100 lbs bag of sand. As for the usability- it unscrews with left hooks so I have to tighten it like every 15 min. But I do n't see it as an issue. Overall I am very happy with this bag.
