Got this to replace a 25+ year old Nike ACG baselayer that is still wearable. I bought this for it's slick and soft material, color( I love brighter colored base layers) raglan shoulder sleeves and OR's size/fit. This is actually my first OR top I 've ever purchased and I am so happy that the fit is perfect in the body/torso and sleeve length. Follow the size guide and know your own size dimensions and you ca n't go wrong. I ca n't believe how this extremely ultra light layer keeps me so warm. If your not muscley in shoulders back a medium might be good. Computer fit said medium for me. I am ordering a XL because I love the look and fabric. The crop part lands at top of my pants and does not really show my skin. If you have a pooch these are not for you it will highlight your pooch. I 've tried several sun shirts of different brands and majority feel clammy and make me feel hot in the sun. Not this shirt! The material is thin, breathable and very soft on your skin. I actually prefer the quarter zip version over the MH hoody due to the bottom hem design( hoody has a draw string at the bottom which I do n't care for). This shirt also has better neck protection for me since I always wear a wide brim hat when I hike and I would n't use the hood. And I really appreciate having quarter zip to allow more air through. I 'd love to have more solid color options.

I have never worn a more perfect piece of clothing. I never imagined wearing long sleeves in hot weather while hiking. Hypothyroidism causes me to sweat profusely and embarrassement. After researching sun hoodies, I found the Crater Lake hoody. It was on sale, I bought it, wore it while hiking, it changed my experience... so I ordered two more!! Backpacked in Kentucky recently and the hoodies were a win for me. The material is thin and light, breathable. I purchased this used a few years ago and it has become a staple for hiking, camping, travel, and festivals. After the first year I cut the drawstring and tied it in a knot, much better and more practical. The light blue color stains easy. Sometimes this shirt stinks to high heaven after short use, other times I can wear it for days without stank. Washes easy and dries quickly. UPF continues to work after many years of regular use and washing, it provides protection from the sun and mild wind. It's so soft against bare skin and comfortable to sleep in. I use as a base layer, except when I use to layer over tank top when it's hot, or wool hoodie when it's cold. The pocket and zipper is great. No complaints.

I like the color scheme the overall design, Including the yolk sleeve or Raglan sleeve, freedom of motion. The chest pocket fits my every day essentials securely. Perfect length. All- season top that hits the mark on fit and comfort. Make more of these, please! As a petite- size person, most tops are too long. Not this one. I just need more colors. Two negatives-- stitching starts to unravel after a few washes in the machine. And the colors of the top are almost all universally awful! No prints or designs, please! No pastels, please! How about a vibrant blue- red? Or a royal blue? Even a forest green.

I now have two of these and will inevitably purchase more! I have a bit of a short torso so with highwaisted pants they align perfectly. I get very tired of so many women's tops going down so low that they get in the way of a harness, backpack, etc. This is perfect. It stays out of the way without losing coverage. It keeps me cooler than all other sun shirts I own, despite it being black. I can not say enough good things about this shirt. [ Absolutely love this shirt. The fit is great, NF rates this as `` slim fit '' but it's not overly slim and form fitting( I 'm 6' 2 '' 190lbs and the L fits me perfectly). The weight of the shirt is light but not `` too light ''. I do n't like shirts that are like almost a silky material. Breathes great, just did my first 5k trail run in it and loved it. Dries fast, love the look and feel of it. Might order another!

I use this short- sleeved shirt to sleep in at night. The material is very light weight so it does n't make you sweat at night. The weave/pattern is airy and moves with you easily. My only dislike is the material is so fine and light that it snags very easily and leaves strands of thread like material hanging out, which are very difficult to stretch back into place.
