It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

Other packable jackets I 've tried can feel cheap or flimsy, but what I like most about this jacket is that there is no compromise quality of the material- it still feels great when I wear it. [ This jacket is amazing! I 've been looking for a rain coat that's light weight and comfortable, but that would n't stick to my skin when it rained. I think I finally found that! It has a hood and a cinch cord around the waist to really keep rain out. The vent flap in the back is the only weird thing about it. Because it is just tacked around the edges, it sometimes falls open and you can see glimpses of the shirt underneath. I do n't think that's a huge issue because it does n't effect the usefulness of this jacket and it does n't fall open enough for me to care about. The sleeves are long enough for me, which I love! This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. I 've been watching a number of reviews prior to purchasing this rain jacket, and finally pulled the trigger when I had an opportunity to try it on in store. The mustard colour is great in person, but what I 'm really impressed with is the build quality. All of the reviews talk highly of how well constructed this jacket is, and I ca n't disagree. What I was n't expecting was how the slight stretch in the jacket would clearly separate it from other similar rain jackets from other brands. It makes it a very comfortable rain jacket. My only knock? Sizing is really confusing and I 'm glad I was able to try it on in store. Based on the size guide, I would have purchased an XXL online. I have a 46 '' chest( 6' 4 '' and around 225 lbs). My Abisko trail fleeces are XXL. My Abisko Midsummer jacket is an XL. I bought a L. This is n't without precedent: I have a Greenland jacket in a L, and it fits fine. You might say `` you 'll never be able to layer with it! '' Well... I went looking for a thick fleece in store and had it under the jacket and it fit fine. So yeah- this jacket fits large. I think I would have been fine with an XL, but I like the slightly slimmer fit of the L.

I ordered my usual size M and I love the way it fits- it's a bit oversized/boxy throughout the body but in a good way. I love that it has a hood and that it's got a DWR finish so I do n't have to worry if I get caught in the rain while walking to work. The color is not as saturated as shown in the pics. I got this jacket a month ago and since I ’ ve used it during heavy rain in the city and during winter mountain climbs. I can say I ’ ve had no issues with the waterproofing. In the winter mountain, this jacket became irreplaceable for me. Being so light and breathable is such a game changer- I sweat much less, less need to stop for water and I feel much less exhausted. It ’s packing small, so it ’s super easy to fit it in the external pockets of a backpack, so you don ’ t waste any unnecessary time- game changer when you are in the winter mountain. The pockets are awesome and the jacket is super comfortable. I was worried about the Velcro on the cuffs, since a lot of jackets will loosen and let air in between the cuff and your gloves, but the Velcro works super well and gives you a solid locked- in feeling. Last but not least, it beats off strong winds like it ’s nothing. This feature helps you dress lighter, move faster, and get tired less. This jacket improved my performance per unit of effort in the mountain, which is essential since most mistakes happen out of exhaustion. Really happy about my purchase!

I had been in the market for a high quality shell and something that was not Gore- Tex( as it is terrible for the environment). I knew that Fjallraven made high quality outdoor gear that was environmentally friendly and sustainable. So I purchased this and have not been disappointed. My only gripe is the adjusters that cinch the hood down- I have a long neck and sometimes they do not stay in place if you are moving around a lot.

Initial inspection ended with all seems, zippers and surfaces being in good condition and well made. It withstood the test of heavy winds and salt water leaving nothing to be desired. Additionally if you appreciate a rain jacket with a tall zip up to the neck and comfortable hood, this is a good option.

I wear this jacket for everything- hiking, around town, commuting. The zip system is amazing in terms of letting me vent as much as I need on wet but hot/humid days, as well as drape the jacket over a medium sized backpack when commuting to keep it dry

Finally... A jacket that does what it says its going to do- so happy I purchased this. Excellent rain protection I experienced over 2 hours in medium rain on walk. No wet out, no leakage- water just ran off and kept me dry the whole time. Highly recommend this jacket for sure!

The new 3L Fabric is a huge improvement over the older Foray, it's robust, has just enough stretch, and overall is impressive. I was somewhat hesitant as they moved away from Gore but seeing it in person I am 100 percent a fan and it's better in every way. The only improvement, and OR please make this happen, is the branding. Make a Blacked out version without the contrasting logos, that would put this jacket as the best among the best.

I needed a jacket that would perform in a variety of extreme environments when going inside was not an option. This jacket filled this role perfectly and has kept me dry while exploring the north Maine Woods more recently while hiking through the cloud rain forest in Costa Rica. On a cool rainy day, you can keep warm with all the vents closed and a puffy underneath. While in warmer humid weather, just open the massive vents on the sides and keep dry while still being able to `` breath '' and stop sweat from soaking you from the inside out. It is very weight efficient, easily packed, and well cut for the active user. The chest pocket is also a favorite feature of mine to safely store a cell phone while on the move yet keeping it easily accessible.

I wanted a timeless light jacket for hiking with my dogs that was n't a puffer. This one does not disappoint! I love the Indigo Blue as I gravitate towards cooler colors. I am usually between a small and a medium and got a small for a more fitted look.. I wear it over the grey Fjallraven Snow Cardigan. The hood is spacious enough for a toque and the overall fit is very flattering. For reference I am 5ft4, 140lbs, hourglass body type. Keep in mind this jacket does not have any stretch to it and the shoulders are a bit narrower. The sleeves are nice and long and the length sits just below my waist( I have a short torso). I have been reaching for it since I got it last month. Looking forward to Spring in Alberta to wear it more often!

It looks nicer than the pictures. The interior seams are finished, interior pocket, adjustable hem elastic, zipper exterior pocket, high collar and a fitted hood. As always, I ’ m impressed with the quality of these products. I am 5 ’ 2 ” and 112 pounds. The bottom is a little wide, and the sleeves a little long, but the snap closure on the sleeves and the elastic around the bottom bring those things in fine. I see complaints on the width of the sleeves, I have larger biceps, and this isn ’ t an issue for me.
