I wanted to try the 6 ” nylon ankle ice boots because I love the 6 ” deck boots I wear almost daily. They are very comfortable once on, have great support, good traction and are very warm! The only complaint I have, is that the top opening is not as wide as the regular deck boots, which makes them harder to just slip on and go. I had noticed that in the few reviews I had read, but wanted to try them anyway. A long handled shoehorn is needed, for me at least. Perhaps the designers thought a narrower opening would make them warmer, but it doesn ’ t allow for thicker socks. I kept them but probably won ’ t buy another pair in the future unless the opening is redesigned.

I usually wear a hiking style boot which are functional for walking the dog, especially on trails but the Bogs look great and I was thrilled to find them. I usually wear size 5. 5 but as a bonus, the size 6 fit really well and securely by pairing a lighter sock with a medium thickness sock. I initially was drawn to the green color, but ended up purchasing them in black because they look really great on. The uppers are textured differently and looks classy. My daughter is a size 8 and the 8 fit her perfectly. She loves the white color, and I love the rubber encased foot to lock out rain and snow. The toggle lace is nice when she has on snow gloves and would have trouble with normal ties.

I bought these for my wife, but we had to return them since she felt them tight due to the fur inside the boot. We bought the shoe size she usually use, but these pair felt tight. Can not give feedback on the temperature comfort since the boots where never used.
