[ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

I 've had multiple pairs of these shoes and definitely put them through the wringer with my job. They 've been extremely comfortable from day one and have hardly any break- in time. These do n't last super long for me but I use them mainly as work shoes. These will last me anywhere between 6- 8 months on the job through rigorous hosing, bleach, and a whole bunch of other chemicals so they definitely get their share of work. I was feeling a little silly getting a pair of these so late in the season but with our snowstorm in Western NY this weekend, I 'm super glad! My feet stay really warm and cozy and when i brush off my car, the snow does not get down into my boots. Absolutely love them and hope they last for many years. I did have to get a full size and a half bigger to fit thick socks but they are perfect now.

For reference, my foot length is 25 cm and width 10 cm, and the size I tried on was EU 39( just because the retailer sent me a wrong size; I initially ordered EU 40). The size fit me but was really snug. I then tried these same shoes in a store and found out my perfect size was EU 40, 5 if I wantes to fit a thicker sock. I never ended up getting these for good though. They are so chic and quite comfy but I ’ m still thinking if they ’ re really practical and fit my style.

I have been looking for a boot to replace my discontinued Keen Elsa ’s for 3 years- so glad I finally found these. I have been walking the dog in them for months& hust spent 4 days walking 8+ miles a day in Canada in temps between 5F- 40F and was comfortable the entire time. They are so squishy and support my extremely high arch very well. Would definitely recommend.

These are my favorite shoes of all time. They ’ re so warm I only wear thin socks with them. They ’ re more comfortable than tennis shoes with a really great supportive squishy sole. I wear them all winter long in Pittsburgh. I think of them as a great commuter shoe, you can walk in them all day and they ’ ll keep out the inclement weather. They got me through a whole winter and held up great. I was honesty shocked to see they only have a 3. 9 out of 5, I can ’ t recommend these boots enough!
